It was hot out so after ordering and asking where I'd been, the owner walks over to my table to talk, pouring me a cup of ice water before having to run back to her post to answer the phone. This place looks like it's ran by a mom and pop that seem like really passionate business owners. The restaurant is located in a strip mall thats sort of in the ghetto. Me and my sister with my nephew decided to take a chance! We walk in but sadly the place isn't really kid accommodating because the place only has high tables. I received my food and it looked delicious but did it taste delicious?... eh it was okay. The fish sticks tasted kind of like the frozen ones you get at the grocery store lol. The eel pieces were good but were a bit fatty. The salad was delicious though! Overall I paid $18 for the meal and have to say it was okay at best. I think what really sucked was they had no low tables to accommodate my nephew and other than that the food was okay. Stopped to check this place out because it was down the street from the Santa Ana Zoo. It's definitely hidden as it is surrounded by industrial buildings. The workers were very nice and welcoming. I ordered the gyudon (beef bowl) and it tasted fine, however, the egg was cold as if it came straight from the fridge. The tonkotsu ramen was also decent but the egg and meat were also cold. I'll give a 5 star for service but I witnessed our dishes were put in the microwave which wasn't exactly what we were looking forward to when going to a restaurant. read more

What a pleasant surprise! I certainly was not expecting decent quality sushi at this random Santa Ana strip mall. The salmon and unagi rolls in particular are very tasty and they do not shy away from the amount of fish they give you. The dragon roll has shrimp tempura inside which isn't listed in the menu. Not sure if it's an accident or not but it's a very nice touch. And the prices are so cheap. The value is off the charts. Not everything is amazing though. The beef gyudon bowl was too fatty. Also the seared salmon bowl was way too saucy. For the most part though this place has been solid Also the location is very sketch. There are homeless and crackheads are outside that 7-11 on the regular. On the bright side, you can order online in advance and just run in and pick up your order. I saw a reel in Instagram to come check this place out! Came from Riverside and sad to say this is NOT sushi!!!!! Their recipes are not Original. They had extra seasonings and dressings and none of their menu items had what is in their roll to know what's in it. The second you walk in there's a strange smell. Their seating/chairs are so uncomfortable! But the cherry on top of out night was we saw they add mustard to a roll and we said oh no thank you in the mustard and the owner/husband huffed and puffed and agreed that canceling that order would be easier but was YELLING at his wife/server and being total disrespectful and made me feel even more uncomfortable I couldn't get out of there sooner!! hidden gem is what another reviewer said and i agree. it's in a little plaza and should probably be more busy because the food is good. we came here because the menu had a wide offering, to satisfy any japanese craving. the ramen was better than some specifically ramen only spots. the sashimi salmon bento was so good and fresh. i wish i took a picture of the box. it came with this egg that had baked crab meat that was one of the best things i've had. on top of the delicious food, it was all reasonably priced and the service was great. i'm assuming she was the owner but she was really nice to my girls. read more

If I didn't just open up my shop across the street I would never have known about this place. It looks like they have a decent offering, but I had to go with the basics and if they pass, then I'll explore the rest of their menu. So I got the 10pc nigiri and I was shocked that it was GOOD.
