The Capital Grille is always a hit for me. One of my favorite times to visit is during The Wagyu and Wine Pairing. They offer Wagyu burgers paired with a glass of wine for $35. If you appreciate a great burger, and just happen to like wine.. you will be as happy as me. The event happens every April and November. Check it out. As usual, the customer service was always. The ambiance is nice and relaxed.

I have been a long time customer of the capital grille and the generous pour event for years. This year was completely different than the past and sadly will be the last. The limit on the pour was not generous or worth the price. The food was average at best and for a nearly $300 dinner me and my husband were very disappointed. We split a Caesar salad and lobster crab cake. We ordered the bone in ribeye which came with a sauce we didn't order garlic sautéed spinach and potato au gratin. It has changed and it is no longer a fit for me. The service was good although the server kept referencing that it was our anniversary and we were celebrating my husband's birthday. I do not plan to go back especially for a special occasion.

Food, drinks, and service; FABULOUS. From calling for a reservation to our server taking care of us. The BlackBerry Bourbon Sidecar is refreshing and a perfect summer cocktail. And pairs well with the wedge salad. Already planning our next trip.

The food here at Capital Grille is always exceptional! We've dined here for years and the food has always exceeded expectations. My husband and I celebrated a milestone Birthday that couldn't have been more special! Many thanks to our Server Jay and the Manager on duty for such a pleasant evening! ~ From Laura

The Capital Grille is one of my favorite places to go to. The service is the very best. The waiters are so helpful and knowledgeable on everything from wine pairing to food choices. They never rush you. It's classic America food at its best. Always great music playing, Frank, Dean and Bobby Short. We met the Managing Partner Joffrey Reece, he was very nice and asked if you needed anything. The food is out of this world. Always some of the best meat cuts. A great wine choices and the deserts to die for. Thank you to the staff for always making a meal extra special.

The service is good and the location is nice. The food is overly salted for my taste. From the spinach, potatoes, filet mignon, dry aged NY strip,... it was all exceptionally salty even when I asked for low to no salt each time I've been there. (I prefer different flavors, various seasonings, herbs and sauces). The drinks are good, as well as the flourless chocolate espresso cake.

Came for our anniversary and had such a nice time! Our table was decorated with little heart confetti, a rose and a handwritten card. Our server was great and attentive - we were given complimentary amuse bouche. We got truffle fries, mac & cheese and steaks which were all great! To end the night, our server brought out a complimentary dessert (the creme brûlée was our fave!) 10/10 food and service!!!

High end sit down restaurant at the South Coast Plaza. Lots of business and more formal meals here. Can here with hubby and baby on a weekend and it was busy, but not packed. The service is top notch: staff constantly checks in to make sure all is good, the lunch menu is simple but efficient: burgers, sandwiches, salads...etc. we order their mini sandwich and classic burger, but we're decent. Truffle fries are a must! Good place to enjoy some nice ambience and good service with classic food.

We came to The Capital Grille and it never disappoints. It's one of those classic spots you can always count on for a great experience. We ordered the 36oz bone-in ribeye and it was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and definitely the star of the table. We also tried the lobster mac and cheese. It was good, but personally I would probably skip it next time and try something different. The asparagus was amazing, simple but done right. We also ordered a couple of mocktails that were refreshing and well balanced, which we really enjoyed. Service was great. Derek H. took really good care of us, attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel seamless. We requested a booth and they were able to accommodate us, which made it even better. Overall, this place continues to deliver. Great food, great service, and a classic ambiance that always makes it a solid choice.

Visited for a birthday celebration and I must say, the service is amazing. Our server went above and beyond to make our celebration special. We tried the tomahawk which was extremely juicy and tender. The lobster Mac and Cheese was absolutely delicious and creamy. We also tried their truffle Parmesan fries which had a really nice crunch to them. The passionfruit mojito and Paloma were perfect. Everything was delicious and every single staff member made us feel welcomed. Definitely a nice place for a special celebration, will be going back!

We were shopping in this mall, so we decided to stop by for dinner. The decor is dark and moody. It wasn't so busy, so we were seated right away. They brought out a variety of breads and crackers! We weren't too hungry, so we share the Parmesan truffle fries and a tomahawk. The steak was flavorful and fries were nicely seasoned. Service was attentive as well.

We love sitting at bars in most restaurants because for hr vibe. We are going to Capital grille before the symphony. Will be dressed up... trying to decide if the bar seating or standard seating will be better…

Capital grill wants to also call for a bar reservation. We felt really uncomfortable sitting without one last time we were there because the bartender was not happy with us taking someone else's sit. But we didn't know the new policy. So yea if I…

    Do they have outdoor dining?

No, they do not have outdoor dining Megan.

    How much is corkage fee?

    $40.00 corkage fee

Is it possible to order the creamed corn at lunch time or is it a dinner-only item?

You can order it at any time

    Is there a dress code?

No, not a formal written one. But the wait and service staff dress fairly nicely. Semi-formal California casual dress clothes should suffice.

Are we allowed to order from dinner menu during lunch time? Thank you!

I don't have an actual answer, but I don't think it matters because the lunch menu is VERY extensive. And fabulous! (I just wish they opened earlier, like 9 or 10am.)

    Is there a dress code?

Not that I am aware of as king as you pay after the meal service :)... I say, looking sharp is always better in life and life is short so better look good !

Hi, Do you have happy hour?

    No. And they never will

    Is there a corkage fee?

    Yes it's $40.00

No one seems to answer or know…what is the corkage fee?

    $25

    Are reservations needed?

Reservations are highly recommended for dinner service. This place is popular. Arriving early for lunch, you may not need reservations.

What is the corkage fee per bottle of wine?

    $25

Do you have a dance floor for parties?

    No dance floor

    Is this joint outdoor seating?

No, they're on the 2nd floor on top of Seasons 52

Hello. Is a kids menu offered for dinner service r for children?

They actually will compliment your child or a special diet. They made my daughter(12) a vegetarian meal and although my son(7) didn't utilize it they offered him a very kid friendly meal. I do agree it's not necessarily a family friendly atmosphere…

Is there news on when the location for downtown Los Angeles will open?

Thank you for the question and excitement, T.B! We hope to open our new Downtown LA location early…

Is patio seating or dine in?

    Patio

Hi this will be our first time dining here what is the attire?

It's a casual steakhouse, as far as I can tell they do not have a formal dress code. I've seen people in sweats and I've seen people in full suits. So wear whatever gives you more room for steak 😊

Are you open for dine in?

Yes, we are, Tamlyn. You may review our up-to-the-minute availability and make a reservation by visiting: https://www.thecapitalgrille.com/reservations…

    Is porterhouse enough for two?

Absolutely. My husband and I have shared it many times. They will cut and plate it nicely for you to share on two separate plates. It's both the strip and bone-in filet. They charge the same amount for a bone-in filet, which is the exact same thing…

If you're looking for an authentic, elegant afternoon tea in Orange County, Knife Pleat is the place. I can't recommend it enough, I'll keep coming back!

The biggest disappointment of the night was the $29 tuna crudo. We should have taken the description by face value: tuna, tomato water, vanilla nori oil (we thought this might be the flavor but we were wrong. It was just oil), passion fruit. It quite literally tasted like oily tuna in plain water with passion fruit seeds floating around. The passion fruit overwhelmed the flavor profile. There was so little tuna for the steep price (like 3 sashimi pieces chopped up). It wasn't even a high quality cut. Even if it wasn't, the flavor of the tuna was somehow completed sapped - leaving just the texture. The overall pricing for the menu was very steep with small portion sizes but at least the other plates we had actually tasted good. We also appreciated the complimentary dessert that was given for my fiancés bday. The service was great as well. Looking at previous reviews, it seems that the experimental dishes are either a hit or miss
