I've been getting my hair done by Thuy ever since I saw her on Instagram from mutual friends. The first time I got my hair done I had leftover green tints in my hair from messing around with manic panic and roots that were long overdue. Thankfully Thuy worked her magic on my hair and it took about 5 hours to get my hair to the blonde it once was. I was very impressed and the damage was very minimal. She even gave me a trim because my ends were looking bad and fixed up my layers. Although it was a big hair project she was very presentable and patient with me. She's super friendly too so I definitely didn't feel awkward around her. Recently I was in need of a giant hair touch up so texted her last minute and she was more than accommodating. It's hard to find people who work with crazy colors and she's definitely had her share of the color wheel haha. So I asked her if I could get a trim and add some purple to my hair. I came to her new location which is located in mission valley near the tgi friday. I told her I wanted short hair and showed her a few references and she offered her opinion. She's very helpful and honest on what looks good on you/doesn't which is nice because you always need a second opinion. So she trimmed a lot of my dead hair and then threw on some purple dye over my previous color and it was a bright purple which blended with my roots. My hair was in even better shape because she uses olaplex, the infamous hair insurance. (I'll only go to salons now that use olaplex haha.) Let me start off by saying I've known thuy since middle school which is well over 10 years, she's always been a wild soul with so much love and ambition, not only in life but with her career as well. She's put so much of her heart and hard work into everything she's done, and it shows so much in her styling and art now. So I'm one of those people who procrastinates on cutting my hair just because I hate loosing length and was always scared someone was going to mess up my hair, because I've had horrible experiences before with so called "stylists" that just do what they want and not what I want the outcome to be, BUT let me tell you right now thuy is NOT one of those stylists.
