On a spur of the moment I decided while I was in Houston that I was going to get a tattoo. I found what I wanted, just needed a place to execute it. Checked out a place in the Galleria area, it was flashy with fancy cars out front.. when I walked in no one greeted me, it took several minutes before someone asked if I needed help. Walked out disappointed with the lack of customer service. Found Inkfamous Tattoo & Piercing after doing an online search. It was close to where I'm staying so I stopped in to see what they could do. I was immediately greeted and offered assistance. It was a Friday evening and I was going to a pool party the next day so I asked if I could make an appointment. I met with Obi (artist) who is super chill and very cool. I showed him what I wanted and this is the result. If you're looking for some ink work I would without a doubt recommend him. I'm really disappointed to have to leave this review because I've always held Inkfamous up to high standards as it is my favorite place to go to because they always have excellent service- until now. My friends wanted to get pierced, so I took them here. We were greeted promptly and got the paperwork done quickly. We waited for 35 minutes until the piercer came out to tell us that she was going to work on a laser removal that should take only 5-10 minutes. We continued waiting for another half hour then asked a staff member for an update, but he couldn't even locate our piercer. We decided that it wasn't worth our time anymore, so we left along with another couple who were also waiting. Based on my past visits, these walk in appointments only take 20 mins max. And keep in mind- my friends and the couple were the only people there, so it wasn't even crowded. It saddens me that the quality of service has dropped, and I hope they pick up their slack as they are losing clients. read more

I've had four piercings done by her and will definitely be coming back to her if I want more done. I went in today to this location to have my nose piercing changed out for a hoop. I had previously had my nose pierced at their Hammerly location. Big mistake- the piercing was rude and not gentle at all. This time we went to the Westheimer location. We were walk ins and met by Genesis and a young lady she was mentoring. I cannot remember the apprentices name but she was very sweet. She introduced herself, let me look at hoops & made a suggestion about which one to get. Genesis concurred and they went over the process and with minimal pain changed out my piercing. They were wonderful!! I left very happy. I recommend both of them and this location only. read more

Also apparently everyone at that shop thinks a reference is the same as tracing. BE AWARE OF ALL ARTISTS. She is a lazy "artist" that admitted to copying designs online claiming as hers and blocked me after I said i would not be a returning client and giving her my honest feedback, saying my design was also stolen! Which I had no idea!!! She is a joke of an "artist" if you can even call her that, she traces her "own designs" from pictures online and is proud of being a tracer!?! You would think as a tattoo artist she should at least be able to draw the most basic common tattoo that is a rose! Extremely disappointing as I had plans on eventually having her do the empty spaces on my arm. Will get the tattoo that she butchered on my arm fixed by someone else (as she also had offered me free touch up). Went to get my tragus pierced and it was a horrible experience, I been here before but it was the first time this lady Genesis took care of me, she did not clean my ear or sanitizer, she was rude and the pain was horrible I almost fainted and I ask for water and she very rudely and repeatedly told me they had no water, I was about to pass out super dizzy and after I had to ask very loud that I needed water she finally got me some, plus she keep asking me if I was ok because she had to leave while I was feeling terrible, finally she ask me to not tip her in the front because they will give her only 20% so she wanted me to zelle her after how bad she took care of me... I went there to get my septum piercing and they were nice and all that but few days after, my piercing started bleeding uncontrollably and it bleeds each time I clean it and when I went to another piercing shop to get it looked at, it was pierced through my cartilage and it was very painful and uncomfortable because a septum is suppose to be pierced through a sweet spot. I recently had my septum pierced by Genesis, she was amazing!!! I was a bit nervous at first and she helped me calm down by just talking to me, making me laugh and getting my mind off the piercing. She was gentle with the clamps, during the actual piercing and the transition to the ring, I hardly felt the needle but I believe my pain tolerance is a more than normal. I went in to get my jewelry changed for my vertical labret. Darby was friendly and explained how the jewelry sizing worked. She did everything in a super clean, hygienic way and talked me through what she was doing. She had done the initial piercing at a different location and it's healing really well. Darby is awesome!! My sister and I just got our piercings done by her, I got a conch and my sister got a septum. She was really welcoming, easy to talk to and had a good sense of humor. My ear was being difficult so she had to put the needle through twice to put the hoop through. She apologized and upgraded my hoop for the same price of the one they usually give you which I really appreciated. My sister's was quick, she walked her through what she would be doing and gave her the heads up about the clamp hurting (my sister said was the only thing that was uncomfortable).
