5-STARS For Jorge's crafted cocktails, his excellent customer service, the baked Brie, the wings and the chill vibe. 4 STARS for the cruddy attitude of the bar back and the lack of chicken in the chicken sandwich. It has promise but way too much bread to chicken ratio. Another con: you can smell "sewage" the moment you walk past the restrooms and they need to be more generous with the air conditioning. A friend and I were grabbing sushi in Burbank and wanted to get a quick drink in beforehand, and I decided on this place after scouring Yelp for bars in the area. We came in Saturday 8:30pm and were seated quickly at the bar. Immediately, I was impressed with their large selection of lesser known but excellent tequilas, including El Tesoro, Siete leguas, Fortaleza, etc.. friend and I both got cocktails, which were delicious. We both really loved the Inkwell spill. The bartenders were all super nice and answered all our questions about the various ingredients in the cocktails. Ambiance is also great for bringing a date for some drinks and not too loud, so you can hear each other in conversation. Bartenders Eric, George and Chip are absolute legends, and are the reason I keep coming back to this fine establishment! For starters we ordered the "Beef Tallow Waffle Fries" this includes Fennel-garlic roast pork, garlic aioli, chimichurri. So yum. Also, tried and recommend "The Charred Tomato Scampi Linguini pasta, cherry tomato, kale, garlic confit, sherry wine, herbs & almond 'parmesan'. garlic shrimp" Trust me, you will not regret it. My son had "The Skirt Steak Frites Marinated pan roasted skirt steak, sunflower chimichurri, beef tallow fries, smoked sea salt" Capped it off the "Vegan Caramel Monkey Bread Roasted apples, coconut donut glaze". Randomly stumbled upon this place while waiting for a Tesla delivery, went during the day and there were a few parties there. You order at the bar and they'll bring the good to your table. The service was great, friendly bartenders and our food came out quickly. The vibe of the place feels like smokey library sports bar, games were on but not the main focus, we liked the ambiance. read more

I loved the Inkwell Tavern! The food and the drinks were delicious. The atmosphere is just right and the staff is friendly and responsive to the customers. This is a craft cocktail bar that also has a great menu of food to choose from. In my pics are the Skillet Baked Mac with the roast fennel garlic pork, the Skirt Steak Frites (the chimichurri OMG SO GOOD), and the Cast Iron Chocolate Cake. For drinks our bartender George crafted us an off menu Army Navy #2, the Holden Manhattan, the Go Wilde, and the Inkwell Spill which is very similar to a Penicillin (pic not included of this one). My friends and I had a small gathering here last night. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, even with a group as gregarious as ours. The food is DELISH, I had a double smash burger with fries. The burger was cooked to perfection, the toppings were "melt in your mouth" yummy. The fries were cooked well and seasoned perfectly. We had special cocktails for our party, which was a fantastic touch, they were really tasty. The ambiance is lovely, a traditional big bar with a surprising amount of seating all while maintaining a cozy atmosphere. It feels like hanging out in a bar in my hometown. We loved working with the owners to plan our event, everything on site the day of was perfectly executed. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who loves good drinks, great bar food and a casual yet comfortable atmosphere. read more

Love the inside! Very classy, good AC, cozy decor that gives me English Study vibes. Food prices seem decent, and the Brunch menu is very clever with some asian inspired breakfast items. Brunch is Sundays from 10am to 3pm. They play sports on the TVs over the bar but you can't hear it over the music which I appreciate. I think it's a good middle ground. Also it looks like they have Karaoke on Mondays at 8pm! What we ordered: The 1/4 burger- very good! great flavor and came with fries Eggs Bahnadict - also delicious Wakey Wakey- hash brown puppies 10/10 crisp and fresh, loved the hollandaise sauce on the breakfast sandwich Nova Lox & Burrata Toast - salmon was so fresh and the arugula was light and crunchy Service was so nice, and attentive. food came out quickly, and all about the same time. The ambiance is great (I love the framed pics in the bathrooms)- it's like an americanized British pub. George, the owner of Tavern, apparently. I've been here a few times and had an amazing time! But this time.........THIS time, I met George, the quintessential power tripper. He was the bar tender of this night. He decided to give me a quota of three drinks and then gave me a 30 minute "probation" period till my next drink. So since I had finished all my drinks I had nothing left to do but to talk to him, and as a joke called him a control freak. Then he proceeded to "revoke" my 30 minute rule that he created on his own and made me close out my tab. At this point I already realized that he is in the wrong profession. He should have been a cop instead of a bartender. And, more conveniently, a cop during time of pandemic to realize being a cop doesn't mean being a power tripper and to get his ass handed some humility. You do not own this bar, George. And you seriously took the sales down for the poor owner. Let me know when he stops working there so I can come back. Good riddance to bad rubbish! Btw, I wrote this while I was "drunk".
