Great atmosphere. I went there on a Thursday evening. There is parking in the back but it was packed. It may be best to opt for street parking depending on the time of day. But the service was great. There was a live singer performing. It was nice music but not too overpowering. It was more like great entertainment in the background. There were tvs with some games on. I didn't try the food but the food looked good too. Overall, great atmosphere, great service, great drinks. I would definitely come here again. read more

I wrote a review but it disappeared so I am trying again. My wife and son went to the Inkwell Tavern on Friday, The place was rocking! The food was great and the cocktails were top notch our Mixologist Katie however busy made every drink like it was the only one she was ever going to make, no rushing just quality. One thing, the menu font is too small and the black and white font are not easy to read in Bar light conditions but that was not a deal breaker thanks to the savior called " phone flash light " . We decided to return on Saturday with some friends and once again were blown away by the atmosphere and service, I think the Maestro behind the Bars name was George, sorry if I am mistaken and he like on Friday made every cocktail to perfection. This is a new gem in Burbank's crown We hope it is here for many years to come. Parking is plentiful too across Alameda in the Trader Joes lot. read more

I had my birthday here last night. Turned out to be the perfect choice of venue. Love the drink selection! I was in the mood for a classic old fashioned and I feel like every other LA bar I visit have some weird twist on the classic cocktail. I was thrilled to finally be able to order a perfectly crafted, authentic old fashioned. Also the food, atmosphere and staff were perfect. 5 stars - 10/10 experience. I cannot recommend this place enough! The food was really amazing: tasty, interesting, and quickly served. The atmosphere was adorable, literary themed. It was homey and small, but not cramped. They also had lots of events like karaoke, trivia nights and more. The service was unbeatable; we got to talk to both the bartender and the server and they were wonderfully kind and helpful. Neighborhood bar at its finest! Incredible staff, friendly patrons, and incredible menu/food. I had actually come from a dinner before meeting up with some friends here...and hadn't intended on eating anything, but then they had these waffle fries cooked in beef tallow smothered with meat and ended up eating the entire skillet in just a few bites. Finally got to try this spot tonight! So glad I came here. Super cute chic bar with a lot choices for drinks. I ended up getting the grilled chicken sandwich that came with fries. Omg this sandwich was phenomenal! Also mind I say it was also fairly priced with perfect portion! I really appreciate that about this place. I ordered the Turn The Page tequila drink and my friend got a Cabernet. The drink was perfect and not too sweet. Just made perfectly. Even the drinks were priced reasonable with good portions. The seats are first come first serve and you can either order with a waiter that's running around or at the bar. Everyone was super nice and checked on us many times. Tonight the place was busy and had a great vibe. The only thing I'd recommend is to be patient with the parking as it is in a busy street on San Fernando near Alameda. This is def one of my new spots to come back to especially for their daily happy hours with different things they have going on on each day. read more

Love coming to this place. Jorge and Katelyn were working behind the bar and are always super attentive and very welcoming. It's harder to find a red beer nowadays, and I love that they carry a delicious one. The kitchen is open late which is nice for people who want to get a bite after work. read more

Love love love this place! Even though we were sad to see Chained Rabbit go, Inkwell Tavern is an excellent replacement. The drink menu is delicious and well thought out - I couldn't get enough of the Inkwell Spill! We had some fries which were great and the garlic aioli is the best I've had. I hosted a gathering of about 30 people here, and they were great. Delicious food (I had the smash burger and fries, and ate some of my friend's waffle fries.) I don't drink, so I loved that they had mocktails on their menu, and they were amazing. My favorite was the Whodunnit. Comfortable, upscale casual atmosphere, and great customer service all night. 5 stars !!! Came in after a movie to grab some food before the blue room next door and immediately fell in love. Ordered the scampi with shrimp and the roasted Brie. 10 out of 10 the kitchen makes these dishes with love. Ordered a sort of espresso martini- I guess they do not have coffee? But it was still amazing the bartender blended some different flavors while keeping a classic vibe. Will be back! read more

Has false hours. Place closes "at whim" and then rushes you out and makes you feel uncomfortable. If your hours are different than what's posted, change them. I'm not going to curtail my plans or day because your underpaid staff wants to go home early. read more

Great new find! I recently met my best gal pals out for a ladeez night and I had heard some buzz about this place, so when we were trying to think of where to meet this was the suggestion. And we all LOVED it. Great food, excellent drinks, wonderful staff, cool eclectic crowd and all the design touches throughout hit just the right note. STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND GET OVER TO THE INKWELL TAVERN. This was our first time at Inkwell and we cant think of a better place to stop for a drink (and a meal, honestly). When you walk in, the bar has a very moody and elegant craft cocktail vibe. They also have TVs for sports and would be a great place to catch a game. The drink menu is classic and the spirits selection is refined, there's something for everyone. I got the Hemingway daiquiri and it was 10/10. All I have to say is there is a New Kid on the Block that everyone is going to LOVE because this place has really really really good food and the staff is very nice. I use to go next door to the bar called the Blue Room which I and my friends got ripped off many times by the bartenders by over charging us and just slimy unprofessional employee ways which is why I stopped going. The Blue Room bartenders attitudes are so moody and depressing, plus they would be starring at me and my friends walking to our cars to tell us not to go next door to the bar called the Chain Rabbit at the time. **But now since Inkwell Tavern has opened I will be "ONLY" going there instead of the next door bar called Blue Room. The happy hour specials are great to have $2 dollars off beers which saves money compared to other places which is a major plus I can't wait to try more of their cocktails and desserts to tell my friends about this new place and to avoid going to the blue room read more

Came here for a date after looking at the menu online, specifically to try the Islands in the Stream cocktail. It was everything I have ever wished for in a drink! We also tried the Oxford Comma, which was just as good. We had some snacks too and the salt and vinegar wings were a standout. One of our drinks was messed up initially, and the staff didn't hesitate to make it right immediately, without any attitude. I appreciated the tavern-style service, because I don't mind going up to the bar to order. It was the perfect setting for date night, snuggled up in a cozy booth with great people-watching. I am so glad I came here tonight. Needed a bite to eat and this bar blew me away! The food is so rich and incredible! The manager Frank and the bartender Jorge are incredible. I had the beef tallow waffles with fennel garlic roasted pork and it was to die for. I asked Jorge for a penicillin cocktail, he was kind enough to muddle ginger to make it happen. I came across Inkwell Tavern a couple days ago when I was driving down San Fernando Rd. Decided to try it on a Monday and it turns out it was karaoke night and it was an incredible evening. Where do I begin... Amazing drinks, amazing food, and amazing talents. I did end up coming back on Wednesday because why not!
