There was no mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming in bathroom #1, bedroom #1, bedroom #2, or hallway. While the kitchen, living room, and bathroom #2 may have been cleaned it was poorly done as there is still debris visible on the floors (hair, carrot, tracks from trash can, etc). I would not recommend their services, especially for a deep clean of approximately 1 hour in length.

I'm giving…read moreone star because the owner, Chad, cost me a significant and entirely preventable 30% budget overrun -- and he did it after I gave him multiple chances to get it right. Here's what happened: Chad visited our home three times before we signed. On his second visit, I pointed out that the subfloors were in rough shape and asked directly whether I should repair them. He told me not to worry about it. The weekend before installation, I sent him a video of the floors and said I was thinking about going to Menard's to pick up 1/4" plywood to cover the entire main floor. He called me and told me not to do that -- said it would be a waste of time and money. Monday morning, his installers walked in, looked at the subfloor, and immediately said it was in awful shape. Their recommendation? Go to Menard's and get 1/4" plywood to cover the whole floor. Exactly what I had proposed. They charged $25 per sheet of plywood plus $40 per sheet to install it. When it came time to settle up, I wrote two checks -- one for the agreed amount plus half the overrun, and a second check for the other half, with a note to Chad that he should only cash it if he felt it was fair for me to absorb the full cost of a problem he had twice told me wasn't a problem. He cashed both. I don't know if Chad was inattentive, undertrained, or simply not honest with me. What I do know is that the owner of a flooring company should be able to assess a subfloor. I flagged the issue twice -- once in person, once on video -- and was turned away both times. If you're considering Third Coast, insist on a written subfloor assessment before you sign anything, and get any scope-of-work promises in writing.

Had an experience that was disappointing. I had a defective floor that Hamernicks had installed…read more First they would not help me until the builder of my home paid a delinquent bill, that had nothing to do with my floor. This took about a month. Then they said they filed a claim with the Manufacturer. Two months later told me that they mistakenly had not filed the claim. Once all this was done. They gave me an estimate and then said they had made a mistake and raised the price $1100. I contacted their CEO and made her aware of the problem. Never heard back, so my fear is that their lack of concern for their customer starts at the very top. My opinion is if you are looking for an efficient, accurate and customer focused company. Pass on this one.

Envisioned Concepts Construction LLC was provided by Home Depot. It took only pics of the damage and full structure texted; the bid received in 1 day was in the range a retired contractor estimated. I agreed to Envisioned Concepts Construction LLC's bid when the owner, Alex Nelson visited the project & confirmed it was a one-day project; penciled the day 3 weeks out, in HOA time frame. Alex Nelson was easy to communicate with, texts facilitated communication as he has new and ongoing projects. As I communicate to the HOA lawyer, Alex provided me the documents quickly. Fortunately Feb 14 had fine weather to complete the project. The 2-person crew that was to remove the rotted beam, build the temporary support and then add the new beam and remove the temporary support arrive about 8:15...as they were having a phone conversation with Alex to get the supplies Alex ordered @ the local Menards -- the Door Specialist arrived. The Door Specialist completed taking the door down as the 'Beam Crew' returned with all supplies. By 3PM the 'Beam Crew' nearly completed their work, also sawing the rotted beam and clearing all materials into their truck. I phoned the Door Specialist and he returned to put the garage door back in place and fully functioning by the time the 'Beam Crew' were ready to leave. This coordination by Alex throughout the project was First Class and the Garage Specialist finished before 5PM. As the rotted beam was likely due to the HOA not providing flashing or maintained caulking standard -- Alex with his Construction professional expertise joined me to write a letter on these matters to the HOA lawyer. We await to receive a response. In Sum: I fully recommend Envisioned Concepts Construction LLC for you projects! The flooring in our whole upstairs needed replacing (it was impossible to only replace the kitchen flooring without it being noticeable in the dining room and living room). Bob came to our home quickly after we called him so that we could get an estimate to the insurance appraiser. The moving company's insurance didn't cover the cost of depreciation, so Bob spent an hour on the phone to convince the appraiser to lower the depreciation from 30% to 15% -- saving us around $1,200. Because he felt we shouldn't owe anything (the damage was not of our doing), he worked to get the price to within our budget -- without sacrificing the quality of product or service. The floors turned out better than we could have anticipated, and we couldn't be happier. Bob is truly an experienced professional who strives to provide the best for his clients. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

Our original 16 year old Duffy's hardwood floor had some major warping issues due to a water leak…read moreIn the kitchen . Duffy's spent several days drying the subfloor. They pulled up a number of bad boards, replaced them, then sanded and restained the whole floor. Looked great! Then the warping reappeared. It was not dried properly before the re-install or maybe the boards were not installed properly. Duffy's said they could redo the bad parts but the coloring of the new work might be very noticeably different. We had to choose between the warping or mismatching floor boards. We opted to not do anything for fear of making it worse. Very disappointing.
