There is several things to do onsite including a game room, gym, trails, playground, boats on a koi pond, and several pools and hot tubs which I appreciate them being heated! 1 minute drive to storyland. The only thing good about this place was the view from our room. I rented 2 nights for my Anniversary with my husband, no kids, no work. Was looking forward to sitting in the jacuzzi in our "penthouse" the whole weekend. Well I decided, because of horror stories of Jacuzzis in hotels, that I was going to run a bottle of bleach with warm water through it when I got there. The jacuzzi was nasty the amount of dead skin and black mold that came out just from that was disgusting. The office sent housekeeping up to the room to clean the jacuzzi. And took half off our first night since we couldn't use it. We'll I decided to pull off the jets and look to see if they cleaned. Nope. I took a toothbrush and bleach and scrubbed every single jet. This is my vacation. I have worked my ass off this summer and paid alot of money to literally scrub a jacuzzi to use ONE time! Will NEVER go back and will NEVER recommend to anyone. It's fine. We just got here today, we booked a "2 bedroom". But it's really a 1 bedroom with a loft. There are stairs everywhere. Coming into the apartment is a steep staircase and also stairs going up to the loft bedroom. If you bring infants, definitely bring some gates. We are having problems connecting to the WiFi also. Had to call tech support, they didn't help. And we called the front desk, they said it was a provider issue, and several other spots had WiFi issues also. So, I guess no WiFi for us? The AC unit in the "apartment" is pretty terrible. It's not central AC so the AC unit doesn't reach one of the bedrooms, so we had to leave the kids bedroom door open when they went to bed or it would of gotten hot in there. The good qualities are the view from the balcony is amazing. Privacy and your own entrance to the apartment is nice. It's very quiet. The grounds are really cute, definitely get the mountains feel here. The kitchen is updated and nice, and it's also very clean. We usually stay at the Riverwalk Resort when we come north. But we wanted to try a new place. I'm kind of regretting it. UPDATE: We are on our second day here. Last night when I was going to bed I saw a couple stains on the mattress. So I pulled the sheets totally off the bed and noticed more stains on the edge of the bed as well. Disgusting. (Pics added) The jacuzzi is broken. We keep finding dead bugs(spiders, nats, bees and ants) all over the "apartment". We also found a bug in the bed as well. (Pic added) When maintenance showed up about our cable/WiFi they gave us a splitter and told my husband to fix it. I called the front desk pissed off and all they said was "Maintenance figured since your husband is tech savvy he could just do it". WE ARE ON VACATION! We shouldn't be fixing your problems in this apartment. We paid too much a night($350/night) to do ANY work on this place. Really poor customer service. When we were checking out we told them we were not happy with this stay. And even leaving a day early. They gave us a $100 refund. We will never come back. read more

Worst visit ever!! I've stayed here many times in the past and I'm sad to say this place has gone down hill. Other than the newer part of the resort which they show in the pictures most of its very outdated. Newish countertops just done cut it. The beds were like park benches even with the 3 Mattress pads. The pools aren't well maintained. You can see the scum around the rim of the pool and indoor hot tub. Out door pool isn't any better and not heated to a warm enough temp to enjoy. I've been many times and can see the difference. Doesn't seem like the property owners care in investing and maintaining this once beautiful property. NV has been here for a long time, it is in a good location 15 minutes to wildcat skiing and Mt Washington. it is showing its age, both in architectural style and need for repairs To interiors and exterior aspects. The outer surfaces are wood, some painted, some natural. Both types are weathering. Near us, two walkway wooden lamps posts were leaning over. Equipment and piles of lumber boards were set along the sides of buildings or off the road. It is not cheap to stay and for most of the units, the price does not match the condition of the units. read more

Went here for our 1 year anniversary. It's was absolutely perfect. The only thing was we didn't have a shovel to clear the snow that accumulated on our deck. The view of the mountains, the fireplace, and the jacuzzi tub were everything I envisioned. We even took a dip in the outdoor hot tub in 18° weather! This review is only for the pool area and game room area. We had rights to the pool and game room area with the cottage we rented. The place is definitely outdated ... but it was immaculately clean. There are 2 pools outside neither being very deep but both heated. There is also a large hot tub outside. Inside there is a large unheated pool that gets a little deeper than the outside pool. None of the pools would be good for laps - if you are looking for that kind of thing. There is also a smaller hot tub inside. There are lawn chairs and tables around outside and some lounge chairs inside. The sauna was broken while we were there. There also are a couple showers and locker room area. The game room building has pool tables, foozeball, an area setup like a living room with movies to watch and board games to place. This building is were they do their "bon fires" and have chairs around an indoor fireplace. Outside the game building there is a cute pond with a path to walk around and 2 boats you can row around it. read more

Just a couple of miles north of Storyland. Nordic Village is a closed gate town house style resort with the property bordering the white mountain national forest. It is a large complex nestled striaght up along the mountainside. The resort has its own pond with paddleboats, recreational areas, pool and outdoor ball fields. The accomodations are spread out sparsely throughout the property, so it does not feel overcrowded. We stayed at a 1 bedroom with kitchen, living room area, jacuzzi and a patio overlooking the WMNF. Nothing extravagant, but good enough to be comfortable. Internet access, cable available. Note: Main office is on the eastern side of rt16, and the gated property is on the opposite side of the road (west side bordering the WM national forest). read more

The last review gives you an overview of what's available. We only come here in the winter and it's quite a playground for that. Sledding hills right behind the condos, snowshoeing trails on premise, bonfires and skiing close by. The Lillhamer and Karlstadt units are pretty high and have the big sledding hills. The units are OK, they could use freshening up, but are quite comfortable. TVs still have VCRs and the microwave is 20 years old, but hey who really cares. Most all have gas fireplaces which are REALLY warm, and the mountain view units have great views of the notch and Black Mtn ski areas. The higher up the Mtn you get, the better the view. We were able to grab someones' WiFi which worked fine, or maybe it was in the room don't know. Decent room prices and with the kitchen you can bring bkfst and lunch food to save on eating out. They also tend to offer discounts after March 1 and the snow is still decent. read more

My wife and I recently chose to stay at Nordic Village on our return from Maine with a side trip to the White Mountains. We did have our 2 dogs with us so location/choice were some what limited. I was referred to Nordic after calling another place that was already booked up. The "resort" was nice but we were pretty disappointed in a bunch of items that did not work or were cleaned improperly. Below is the list that I had emailed to the manager: 1. The fireplace did not work. The pilot light was lit but the nob to turn it up or down was not working. We did not call the front desk, which is on me, but we do have two dogs (very friendly) but I would imagine that in order to come to the room to look at/fix it they would have wanted us there which would have taken away from our day. 2. The bathroom door was completely broken - unable to be moved at all. 3. The shower head was completely broken, only one setting was good enough to shower with and it wasn't even very strong. 4. The screen door to the porch was broken - would keep falling off the track each time we would move it and would leave gaps on the end which allowed for bugs to come in. 5. There was a wasp nest growing on the porch which made it very difficult to enjoy (located on the left side under the siding that is going towards the roof) 6. The refrigerator's freezer did not work well at all - the ice packs we needed to use to bring items home were not cold enough and many of the items we had went bad. 7. The hot tub, when we turned it on and tried to use it - the water became dirty and hair started to come out. All in all, for the amount of money we paid - I do not believe it was worth it. The pool/hot tub amenities were certainly nice. But they should have put the same amount of care/time into the rooms. After emailing the manager, their response included: "While we do try and keep up with maintenance items in all our rooms, it is obvious from your experience that we did not meet our standards nor your expectations as a guest. Surprisingly, your particular room was rented out just prior to your arrival and these issues were not noted by the previous guests or by our housekeeping staff. Regardless we can do better." Fair response, however it is extremely clear that their housekeeping staff either does not do a good job at all in letting management know about issues that exist and need repairing/maintenance, or they do and management chooses to ignore. Either way, this is extremely poor business practices. In return for these issues, the only thing the resort offered me was $80 in Nordic cash to use toward a future visit, which I will certainly not be using. Our recommendation: if you have any other options I would say go with that. This is a good place if you have children and need lots of on site activities to do with them. But if you are coming to this region to do a lot of outdoor/other activities you do not need the amenities they offer for the price they charge. read more

Employees are very good but the property itself is somewhat in disarray and the unit I stayed in was very sparce- paint peeling all around the deck-hole in the linoleum floor in bathroom and the ugliest indoor outdoor rug (must hv been from Home Depot) that was christmas tree green. Couple this with no internet access ad difficulties with TV and it was not pleasant experience. read more

After arriving from a 2 hr drive with 2 teenagers and a 80lb dog. We check in to find the suite smells of rotting food or animal. Appears the prior guests left bags of trash in the hall closet and the cleaning staff never found it. The manager was a complete asshole when we complained and pretty much move to another suite (for same $ or leave). Traveling with a dog of 80lbs is extremely difficult. We moved to the other room only to find no stove and refrigerator (which I pay extra for) and ants all over the kitchen floor and in cabinets. Go back to talk to manager and of course the coward told the front desk to say he was gone. We were again told you don't like it leave. Thankfully we were able to go to the Marriott Regency. After driving 2 1/2 hrs with 2 kids and a dog. We arrived to find our room with a horrible overwhelming smell. We found trash in the closet from prior guests. From the smell it was there awhile. Complain to the manager and appears to have little interest and says I'll move you to another room. We agreed and pack up and go to the next unit wuth dog waste in the front door, the screen door broken and ants all over the kitchen. I also paid extra for a unit with a refrigerator and stove which this unit doesn't have but yet he was still charging me. Went back down to and manager was gone ( hiding in back room) the woman at desk said manager said nothing they can do. We decided enough and demanded a full refund. Luckily for us the Mariott up the road took us in for less $$ and the place is impeccable, the staff are so friendly and even called to make sure we were comfortable. Do yourself a favor and dont stay at Nordic Village. Place is definitely not what it used to be abd gets worse every year. read more

I'm not going to lie, after reading reviews on Nordic Village I was a little nervous to visit. I work for the lafayettes and was very excited to have a mini vacation with my boyfriend. After seeing our room, I honestly cannot understand the terrible reviews. I was more than pleased with the hotel, the room, the staff, the location, everything!! The staff was very nice and attentive, and helped my boyfriend and I pick a place to eat both for dinner and breakfast the next day. The amenities were very clean, the jacuzzi tub worked fantastic, and the bed was well made and comfortable. Overall an incredible experience and I will rave about it to anybody who will listen! We arrived at room 26, the living room was outdated(80's style cabinets) but it was clean and fine. The bathroom was another story. We were told when we booked that it would be a suite with a Jacuzzi. As you can see from the pictures, this was the Jacuzzi. I have stayed in many rooms in my life, but this was unbelievable. I didn't even feel comfortable taking a shower. It looks like dark mold in the corners of the bathroom.(Paint worn away on soap rack) Before we saw the bathroom, we dropped our bags off and went to check out the Jacuzzis in resort area. The adult one had a heater broken, which there is nothing you can do about. The hot tub in the family area wasn't heated and we also found a brown ring around it. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. We went to the front desk to make the staff aware of the hot tub area that we had just seen. They apologized and said that someone would go up and clean the hot tub. We asked to switch our rooms and they said that there were no other rooms available, so we figured we would just ask for a refund and go somewhere else. This is where the customer service issues came in. They said that there was no way to reach the manager to authorize a refund until the morning and the refund "was not guaranteed". I was shocked by this response, at a resort where we paid $200 a night, there is no way to reach a manager? So, I asked if the manager could call us in the morning, we left a phone number, there was no call on Sunday morning... So, we spent our vacation on hold with a booking company trying to get a refund. After two hours we finally were able to find someone that would give us our refund. Then...we found that there was no other rooms anywhere nearby, literally everywhere was booked. The issue I had is not only with the condition of the room but the customer service. This situation should have been made right immediately at a resort like this. If I was in customer service and I saw these conditions I would have personally called a hotel myself nearby to get my guests in a good place if there were no rooms there. It's just sad, we both work two jobs and we had been looking forward to our celebration weekend for a long time and we found ourselves in a bad situation driving roads at night to find a room. It is not just me saying this, the pictures which are clearly from the bathroom in the room we were given say it all. I e-mailed the organization with the pictures...still no response or apology. read more

Call us dumb - but it took my husband & I about 10 minutes to find where you check in at this place. (If you go up the hill through the gate, you've gone too far!) Check in is in the building across the street from the actual resort. that is not clear. (minus one star) Anyway, we finally arrived at 3pm (exactly at check in time) and our room wasn't ready. In fact several rooms weren't ready considering the crowded front office. We waited about ten minutes before we were given our keys and sent on our way. We booked our room through Booking.com and we were supposed to pay $336 total. We ended up paying $408 total, due to two different taxes (NH tax & Resort tax).. seriously? that wasn't mentioned anywhere until we checked in. (minus one star). We made our way all the way up to nearly the top of the hill to "Oslo" where we reserved the "penthouse suite", this suite consists of 1 single room that includes all your regular amenities as well as a king bed, fireplace, a tiny kitchenette and a decent sized bathroom (with a jacuzzi) but the best part of the entire room was the view. (see pics for all). The view along with our very private balcony were worth the price alone. A few seconds down the road from Oslo is a 21+ pool that you need your key to get into. An ADULT ONLY pool you say?!?? omg. It was so serene and clean! In an area filled with kids/families (thank you Story Land, Mini Golf, etc) it was a nice little break from all that noise. (plus one huge star). All in all we had a good experience, check in could've gone smoother but if that's our only real complaint then we'll take it. We'll be back. read more

The stay isn't the cheapest, but it's worth it. There's many activities to do around the area, which is convenient. My family has stayed here three different times. This time we stayed for 3 days, and it was just as wonderful. Our apartment had two floors. The first floor had a bathroom, closet, a bedroom with a full size bed, a sofa bed that was good enough for two people, and a kitchen. The kitchen included a stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, wine glasses, plates, cups, mugs, spoons, forks, knives, and a little basket with decaf and regular coffee, as well as powdered creamer. I definitely suggest you bring stuff to cook if you can, because food around here can get expensive. There is no food in the actual place so you have to bring outside food anyway. My family packed plenty of already made food, as well as eggs and breakfast items that we had to prepare. Not all rooms have stoves I believe, if you want a stove, make sure you're getting a room that has one. In the backyard, there's a grill you can cook in. There are also a few grills near the game room, with a few tables. My family brought some meat and corn, and we had a cook out in the resort. It is so convenient, so I'm glad they had that. If you want to save money, bring hot dogs, buns, and burger stuff, to grill. Make sure you bring a gas tank for the grill, because otherwise, there may not be any there. We lucked out and found one of the grills had gas. The first floor also had a washer and dryer, so it was easy for us to dry our bathing suits when we came back from the pool. There was also a tv with cable in the bottom floor. In the 2nd floor, there was a queen sized bed that could fit 4 people, a bathroom with a Jacuzzi and shower in it, a big closet that someone could easily sleep in, and a television with cable as well. The rooms were clean, and everything was well organized. What I loved about this place was that it's so peaceful and quiet. Nobody makes a sound outside while you're trying to sleep, and I honestly felt very safe while I was there. Between both of the rooms, and the soda bed, 9 of us were able to sleep comfortably. For the exciting part, there are three pools. One is an indoor pool, which is great for rainy days, and two outdoor pools. There are also two hot tubs, one on the inside, and one on the outside. There is music both inside and outside. In the indoor pool room, there are restrooms and a sauna as well. The indoor pool is the coldest, probably because it's humid and hot in there. It goes up to 6 ft. The first pool on the outside is mainly for kids. It goes up to 3 and a half feet. It's not as cold as the indoor pool, but it's cold. The second pool on the outside is my favorite. It's beautiful, big, and it's perfect for adults. It goes from 4ft to 7ft, so I suggest if you have tchildren that can't swim, make sure you are there to supervise. This pool is heated! So it is the best one- temperature wise. There are plenty of chairs and tables in the facility as well, so you can put your stuff down as you swim. In the front desk there is a lost and found in case you lose anything, and they also give you towels if you give them the last name on tour reservation. There is never a lifeguard on duty, and there's a sign that says that you can't bring floaties, but our family brought a float for a 1 year old, and nobody said anything. There were also people with foam noodles. I never found out where they got them, but they probably got them at the front desk. One thing I did not like was that on the Sunday we were there, there was absolutely nobody at the front desk of the pool area to help us. Two of the pools were dirty, and since there was no employee around, we had to get out as many insects as we could ourselves. Also the heated pool wasn't heated as well as the other days. I therefore came to the conclusion that nobody works in the pool area's front desk on Sundays. Other than that, the other two days were great there. There is a game room as well in front of the pool house. There are two pool tables and two ping pong tables. There are also sofas and chairs to sit on. At night they have various activities. We got to see the animal show on Friday night, where we got to pet some wild animals, and we got to hang out with bozo the clown on Saturday. He was so great with the children, and stayed there pretty late. We took pictures with him, and he made balloons for the kids. We also got to roast marshmallows around a campfire, which was also pretty epic. There is also a canoe that's available to use at any time. Overall this place is definitely worth the stay. It's a safe environment, great for kids, groups and families. We have come here every summer for the past years, and each time we fall in love with it even more. If you're thinking about coming here, don't think about it twice, just do It! You won't regret it! read more

We attended a wedding in April of 2018 and were supposed to be in suite with the wedding group. Upon check-in we were informed there was a leak in our room and I "think" we were upgraded.... We were now staying at the cluster of townhouses down the hill from the rest of the group. Upon entry our room reeked of garlic and mildew, the coffee grounds were still in the coffee pot from the previous guests, the water tasted like you were drinking from a chlorine pool, the furniture was worn, there was a small hole in the floor covered by carpet in the living room, the carpet had seen better days, the TV only had a handful of channels, and the "two bedrooms" consisted of an actual bedroom as well as a bed thrown in the living room with a couch placed in front of it. The wedding ceremony and party were held in the chateaus at the top of the hill. The rooms looked significantly nicer, however, the chairs for the wedding ceremony looked like they needed a good scrub down as they were dirty and one chair had blood on it. No one came in to clean the rooms in the two days we stayed there and the towels were not repleished. I will not ever be saying at this "resort" ever again as it was disgusting and there are nicer places in the area. I gave 2 stars as it was not our choice to stay here but it really deserves just 1 star. read more

Let me start by saying that I've been coming to Nordic village for 15 years. I have always enjoyed my stay here, it's quiet, the grounds are well maintained and it's located centrally to the activities I enjoy doing. That being said, it's starting to look rundown. The unit we stayed in needed some TLC. Hanging blinds on sliders had missing pieces so even when closed there was a 12" gap. Arm chairs were worn through. Caulk around the top of the shower unit upstairs was black ( I'm not sure if it was mold, or if it was just old). There was no fitted sheet on our bed, just a top sheet that kept slipping down so you would find yourself sleeping on just the mattress pad... Eww! I could go on, but I don't want to nit pick, and you get the idea.. read more

Just went for a swim with my girls in the pool just around the corner, the main reason we reserved this condominium. As we were sitting in the hot tub as a family, we were told that we weren't allowed to be there because it was 18 and over, there was no one around, I told the man if someone shows up we would leave. When we booked the condo we were never told that the pool was 18 and over. The pool was the main reason we came. To add to things, no one came to straighten the condo or even to replenish our towels. Very much a disappointment, for the amount of money we paid. The only reason I gave it two stars is because I never do this and I feel bad, but it deserves 1 star. The water smells, so the ice cubes make the drinks taste disgusting, the dishwasher has old moldy food in it and the cold knob in the bathroom sink doesn't work. Not coming back. read more

I stayed at Nordic Village as an extended stay resident and was beyond disappointed in how they treated myself and guests in general. This "resort" cannot hold a manager and at the time of this review, 09/01/18, has the assistant manager running the resort for over a month. Nothing is modern. The manager is not available by appointment and it is normal, and sadly acceptable to have an appointment scheduled for 5 days after the request. The fact they forget that no matter why you are there you are still a guest is sad and the treatment of myself and the friends that visited was pathetic. There is no help from anyone as you are considered a burden rather than a customer. Beside the stereotypical attitude of the area, the staff really do not care if you are happy, satisfied or comfortable. The Good: - The location to the area. The Meh: - The pool is shared with the community across the street and there is no way to ensure those that stay at the resort are the only ones using their amenities. The Bad: - The in wall air conditioner units are antiquated and are incapable of cooling the unit on any day above 74 degrees. When you request the maintenance crew to address the issue they admit that the only room the air conditioner unit is capable of cooling is the living room and unless you have 1) multiple fans (to direct cold air to the bedroom) 2) are comfortable seeping with the bedroom door open or 3) comfortable sleeping with the bedroom windows open, which are next to the parking lot and entrances to other units so you can hear all the revilers return to go to bed. You are SOL. - The fact that the walls and ceiling / floor are one layer of sheet rock thick and you can hear the television through the walls and ceiling. Let alone "normal walking" sounds like a parade. Unless you have a sound machine to lull you to sleep with the sound of waves or a thunderstorm you will not be able to get to sleep. The layout of the units and the out of date, non upgraded poor construction is sad and there are other resorts in the area that are actual resorts. - The lie that is quiet hours. It doesn't matter if you call and complain about the family of six that brought their children with them and allow them to run up and down their main level. You will be lied to, seriously LIED to ... and told that they will call but when you call back every half hour because the noise is so unbearable you will be told that they cannot actually call the other units until what they consider quiet hours.What they do not realize is that there is someone below them trying to watch a movie. If you call the office to request that they address the situation they do not care and will not make any calls for ANY noise disturbance until their viewing of quiet hours.They are incapable of distinguishing between a quiet hours compliant and an actual noise complaint. This is not only poor management but cowardly as they are incapable of having a difficult conversation but more importantly unwilling to. -Customer Service was poor and the only folks that seemed to care about your well being were the staff that cleaned the rooms and changed the sheets. You will need to work out sheet and bed linens exchange with the front office however, because if you need clean ones and are not checking out, they are so full of fear of doing something wrong that they will not be able to assist. --The Front desk is better served with a robot or remote check in as there is no ability to assist the customer. --The maintenance staff is useless and cannot assist the customer. Instead as a response to a broken air conditioner unit being replace I was told that "There ain't no new ones to replace it; be happy you got one; some folks leave their winda's open". Again how not to treat a customer. -The hot tubs are from the 1970s and unless you run them through a cycle or four with bleach I would not feel comfortable using them. - I stayed in a corner unit and had ants for the better part of two weeks with daily request to resolve the issue until I just went out and bought traps and pesticide to spray on the exterior of the building in an attempt to fix. -The units that have kitchens do not have washer / dryers. This makes sense to someone and shows a glaring light back to the the antiquated set up of this resort. -The carpets in the multiple rooms that I stayed in were worn, battered and in one case burned in front of the fireplace. - The furniture is worn and dated, not matching and is not comfortable to sit on. The couch in the living room is a sleeper sofa and the cushions are so flat you feel the metal bed springs beneath. -Some rooms namely the one(s) below on numerous occasions are used to hold exchange students for the local attractions. Sadly, it was like living in a dorm. No care for noise, cigarette smoke, cleanliness or keeping the door closed. We love this place. We have had both a basement condo and a two floor condo. We also have three small children ages 5,3 and one year old Basement condo: Its small but perfect for two adults and 1 child(small child) The problem is - no kitchen and its small. For one night this is a great place and if you don't have a lot of children it's perfect for just adults. The other problem is if there is someone upstairs : its loud!! The condos are not insulated well. Sounds like a heard of elephants above you. Its safe - no stairs etc. The two floor condo: I loved it. We stayed in this unit because we had three kids and we really need the extra space with a full kitchen and the extra bedroom. Its way more than you would ever need for two people but we loved it with our three small children. The only problem is there are stairs!!! I'm not sure if all these units are built like this but the one we were and had stairs we had a staircase going up to the unit and then one to go up to our bedroom . We had a crawler and a toddler and i had to run to walmart to get a gate!! I called the front desk to ask if they had gates and they don't. I find that to be a little bit frustrating because they should have amenities for people with children. I also need to go look on the website to see if they tell you that you should bring a gate if you have children because if they don't they should. We also slept above them which i didnt love so i also bought a baby monitor at walmart. The kitchen was really useful we had a full fridge, a full sink, dishwasher washing machine. The only thing is they don't have great coffee mugs and so you get 3 ounces of coffee in every cup and it was kind of annoying. I would bring my own big coffee mug next time because that's important to me (hi three kids!) I would also bring travel coffee mug so that when you're heading out every four minutes you have coffee with you Things to pack For two floor condo Gates (2) Baby monitor Big coffee mugs Your own towels for the pool Go grocery shopping before you get up here. Because the local grocery store although has food is very small and tight quarters to shop Actually have three pools not two, they have one indoor and two heated outdoor and they are great. They are very crowded after 5 o'clock as Storyland starts to close Drive to story land is three minutes tops and it's easy in easy out to get home. That's why we stay here. The playground is awesome for the kids. The kids also loved the boat down at the pond and swimming in the pools The units might be a little outdated but we had a flat screen TV, internet, we in a comfy bed and we had a great view and we had a wonderful time! I tell everyone to stay here because it does have everything you need and it's a great resort might be a little old might need little updating, but it's still great! read more

A great surprise weekend retreat. Were invited up by our friends who got a great deal on a one bedroom condo with pull out sofa in the living room. The amenities (gym, pool, hot tubs, etc) seem pretty updated despite the condos themselves being a little on the outdated side (hi, 1986, I remember you from the first time I saw you!). The space was great for four people and we could definitely have spent more time there. Having large 2 person jaccuzzis in every condo is a great upgrade and not something you find everywhere. I would have loved to ice skate on the darling little skating pond. Pro tips: You can definitely cook in the kitchen, but you might want to bring your own cookware (pots, pans). The DVD service is closed, so bring your own DVDs (or go to one of the Red Box kiosks in COnway or North Conway). read more

My parents first brought me to Nordic Village when I was 4 months old and I still look forward to coming back 28 years later. Sure, not all that much has changed since then it seems but to me, that's the charm. Although it's a bit dated, I've always felt comfortable. The rooms are spacious. I love the pool and hot tub. The location is great. Staff has always been friendly over the years. Some rooms are pet friendly (I'm here with my dog now) which is always a plus! read more

Stayed here for my 10th anniversary at the beginning of February, and wouldn't stay again. Booked the Honeymoon Package, which definitely wasn't worth it. We got a "complimentary upgrade" to a chateau room, and were not satisfied. While there, the hot water wasn't working so we could not shower or use the jacuzzi, and the balcony lock was broken. Needless to say, we did not feel safe once we realized this, but at this point it was late and we had already taken the 5 minute car ride up the hill in the dark and gotten lost, so we were just anxious to go to bed. The price wasn't communicated, so I ended up paying more than I realized and did not receive an itemized bill. The "snacks" were crackers and individual pieces of cheese, and the "breakfast" consisted of two saran-wrapped muffins. The TV only had a handful of channels and couldn't be seen from the bed. The security gate wasn't working, and there were no locks or security measures at the chateau's front door or the door within the chateau that led to our suite. We wanted to go ice skating on the resort's rink, but it hadn't been cleared and was unusable. For the price and our package, I expected much better. With all of the choices to stay in the area, I wish that we had not went with this one. Will definitely not stay again. read more

I absolutely am in disgrace of this place!!! I have came here over 4 times and every single time there was an issue weather it was the ceiling cracked, ants in the place, broken screens, etc! This year I came for a 4 night stay per usual every year with my grandparents and I walked in and put my bags down and went to look in the closet and there was 2 huge bags of disgusting trash that smelt like there was dead animals in it!!! The people working at the front desk where terribly rude and when we asked for an upgrade because the place smelt like complete shit we got moved to a room with ants all on the floor and no stove to cook our breakfast. After the struggle of getting a dog and all our bags moved from one room to another we finally decided to leave and come to the residence inn in north conway! Beautiful place and allows dogs. The people that work here are very kind and even called to check in how we were. 100% don't recommend nordic village! Disgusting I would give zero stars but it's not an option!!!! read more

We got a special on Hotels.com for $116/night for a penthouse suite. It had a jacuzzi and fireplace in the room and the balcony looked out over the mountains! Very quiet and romantic. A little off the main "strip" of North Conway but not too far. I would definitely go back! read more

Staying here on a 2 nite Eversave deal w/ 2 x. $30 dining credits in April was a good deal.. Condo is large. Just 2 of us and 2 small dogs but could easily accommodate 4 people. Pet friendly. Washer/ dryer/ microwave/ small fridge(think college sized) in unit. Wish we had brought a toaster for bagels.Clean. Colors and furniture dated (think 80's) but doesn't bother me. Really nice fitness center. Strange wouldn't let me "check in" here. I'm thinking it is a cell signal issue. Oh, and free wireless Internet. Thinking we'll be back again, probably off season. read more

This place is beautiful on the outside. Needs some serious improvements, go to use the tea kettle and the smoke detector goes off because the last guest burnt something on the burner. This past winter my boyfriend and I spent the weekend at Nordic Village. I used to visit here as a child and absolutely loved it, on a whim I decided to book a couple days and I am so glad I did. Our room was clean and cozy featuring a living room area, large bathroom with jacuzzi tub, washer/dryer, large bed, & fireplace. It was brutally chilly those couple days but walking from our room down to the little lit up pond area was like your own winter wonderland - such a great little touch. About half way up the mountain is a fitness center with an outdoor heated hot tub overlooking the mountains. What a view! Both times we went to go in it was vacant, making it extremely relaxing. Nordic is close to a lot of great restaurants & places to do some winter activities. Truly a generational place, for I will be bringing my children here as well. read more

We were very pleasantly impressed with our stay (4.75 stars if we were given the opportunity). We arrived, checked in quickly and got to our unit with no problem. The unit was large, very clean and exceedingly comfortable - we were lounging within minutes. It was fully functional with a kitchen, fridge, coffeepot, microwave, etc. My wife loved the mattress in the main bedroom. There were board games to play and plenty of information about the area put aside for review. A small balcony with a good view rounded out our experience. We took our teenage boys boys down to the pool and they really enjoyed jumping in. Plenty of towels. The entire area was well maintained and the landscaping was beautiful. We observed, but did not take advantage of, a bunch of cool resort stuff: entertainment, sporting opportunities, a game room....others have commented on the these. We simply note their availability. Convenient to everything in Pinkham Notch, Jackson and (North) Conway. There were quibbles in other reviews about dated units but either we did not see that anywhere or we are dated ourselves. A couple of floor tiles were cracked in one of the bathrooms. Who cares? We wished we had stayed longer. read more
