It's a nice little beachfront hotel. I chose it specifically because I wanted a room with a great view of the ocean and also would have breakfast included. Pros: We had a nice spacious 3rd floor room with a great view of the beach. The hotel has nice amenities like great toiletries that smell lovely, nice robe and a balcony plus a fireplace. Shower had 3 separate water nozzles which was fun! (Although took a minute to figure out how to use) Heated infinity Jacuzzi pool was wonderful! Fire pits near the pool also great! The front desk people were all very nice. The place was clean and they had cookies in the lobby that we tried one day (yum!) Cons: I was disappointed that they apparently did away with the made to order breakfast that they have pictured in their website. Instead of the items pictured was a Continental breakfast delivered in little plastic containers in a box. It was not bad taste wise, and I definitely appreciated the hard boiled egg as a bit of protein along with all the carbs. But it would have been nice to know of this change before booking. Price is fairly high for the cold month of March. We asked about the sofa bed getting set up for our 3rd person in the room and were told we needed to make it ourselves. For the price we paid it would have been nice that they could have sent someone to set up the sofabed, that was weird, and unexpected. Kind of felt like something a much lower end hotel would ask you to do. I debated between 3 and 4 stars since there were both good and bad points. If there was a 3.5 stars option this is what i'd choose honestly. I'd come back again but only if I got a much better rate. read more

The hotel is run down. Probably a solid 1 star hotel in any other city. It is NOT worth $400/ night. i would go $250 without complaint. Even Orlando Disney resorts don't charge that exorbitant VAT/tourist taxes/fees that Newport Oregon does. The clerk that checked me in didn't bother to explain any of the hotel amenities. Had there not been another family checking in at the same time, I wouldn't have known what any of them were. I felt unwelcome. The silverfish in the bathroom is why the cleaning crew gets bad points. The rest of the low ratings are due to the run down condition of the venue, and the $400 5-star price. read more

I asked AI to put together an Oregon vacation for my husband and me, and The Inn at Nye Beach was included for a one night stay. This hotel did not disappoint! It's located right on the beach and offers adequate parking in their lot, and on the street. The room and bathroom were average size and our room had a small balcony facing the coast. You can have a room-service breakfast between 9 and 10, or if that's not convenient, they give you a $15 voucher for breakfast at the coffee shop. The hotel is within walking distance to the Nye Beach community, where there are shops and restaurants to enjoy. Our room was quiet, except for the screaming Sea Gulls, which we enjoyed. They have a moderate size "negative edge' hot tub, and small seating area in the back, as well as a lengthy staircase leading down to the beach. I thought it was a tad pricey, but I guess that's to be expected during summer vacation season. read more

Aw Facebook, you got me again. I saw the infinity pool in an ad (and yes ads work). And I said I want to go here for our anniversary. We did but we stayed elsewhere in the neighborhood the few days leading up to it. I didn't realize how close to the hotel we were until I saw all these uniformed staff members take their smoking breaks in the driveway of our rental. I thought I hope that doesn't ruin our time there when we move over there. It didn't very nice room. I really enjoyed the infinity pool. The weather was nice and we were able to see some whales from the pool. The preordered breakfast was great and something to look forward too. I would book it again. read more

The room and views were wonderful but parking lot is set up for all compacts, very poor planning. I had an in depth conversation about a "handicapped" room for my husband when I booked the room. She assured me that it was a walk in shower. It was handicapped with bars and had a shower chair but it was in a bathtub and no way for him to get in with just one leg. So 3 days without a shower was very hard for him. We asked if there was another room which they took him to and he couldn't get in that shower either. The bathroom was nice and big so if you can step over the tub it'll work for you. Breakfast was good but the first day our coffee came a 1/2 hour after our breakfast. It's nice they bring it to your room. The infinity hot tub looked nice but too many kids with pool toys in it. We've always wanted to stay here and it was our 28th anniversary it was disappointing for the reasons I listed! read more

Wonderful! Steven at the front desk was great when we called ahead. Nice Jazz music and a big smile met us upon our arrival. Eased the weariness of the 7 hr drive almost immediately. Ordered from a check sheet our breakfast delivery the next morning and retired to our room. We were directly across from the elevator so I was anticipating some noise, but that was unfounded! We never heard anything but ocean waves. Huge comfortable room with everything you need! We went almost directly to the spa with our conveniently purchased (from the lobby) wine & beer! Heavenly infinity spa! Wonderful fire pit area with shower & lounges & a few steps to the beach. Great breakfast arrived the next morning to our door as we enjoyed our French press coffee! We arrived in Newport without a lodging reservation. My husband likes to wing it and not have any lodging reservations so I wasn't too sure what the Inn At Nye Beach was going to be like. We were pleasantly surprised at our room (#12 right off the office area). It's a large room with a good sized bathroom. It had a desk, couch, coffee table, gas fireplace, sliding glass door to a small deck, and an area that held a microwave, coffee press, small refrigerator and coffee/tea condiments. The inn grinds the coffee beans every morning for you. In the afternoon there are freshly baked cookies in the lobby. Included with each stay is breakfast in the mornings delivered to your room. This is not your average continental breakfast but a yummy breakfast. We had the chef's special of the week which was a marionberry baked french toast. Delicious! There isn't a swimming pool but the infinity hot tub made up for it. It's a generously size hot tub. The view was wonderful. On the other side of the hot tub was a sandy area with an outdoor gas fireplace with chairs surrounding it. It too has a beautiful view. We loved the hotel so much we stayed an additional two nights. There is beach access from the hotel but you had to walk down a lot of steep steps to the beach. If you can't do steps, you can walk to the Nye Beach area (about two blocks downhill from the inn) where there are shops and a few restaurants and then walk down the hill to the beach. The staff was great. The only drawback was the parking lot. The parking lot is very tight and there aren't a lot of spaces. There is on-street parking available. We would definitely stay here again. read more

Don't expect more than an ocean view and a clean room. The property is old, but sadly better than most options in area. The beds are awful. You can't put enough padding on a cardboard box to make it comfortable. The free "cook to order" breakfast is not edible, not even a little. This hotel is lovely. I've stayed for two different trips with my family of four. The first time was in August 2020 for a week and the second was a winter overnight. Both times we stayed in the two bedroom suite. It was perfect for us to have a bedroom for our toddler's early bedtime and a space to eat our take out meals due to COVID. They also provided a pack n play for our baby and set it up before our arrival. The hotel seemed to take all the COVID precautions possible and I felt safe enough. Since it's only 3 floors, we used the stairs instead of the elevator and this helped me feel more safe. I can't wait to come back when we can enjoy the beautiful hot tub. read more

We travelled through on a road trip and enjoyed the infinity spa in between storms. My son loved the spa and the fireplace in the room. We really enjoyed our breakfast fought to our room. The night time front desk gal was so nice. Our tv cable box wasn't working and she came right up and set up our tv and dvd player so we could watch a movie with our son. This was an amazing stay!!!' My wife and I came down for a 1 night stay and to dine at Local Ocean, her favorite seafood restaurant in Oregon. From the moment we checked in with Mark and Lacey up front at the desk, we were impressed. Both of them communicated the amenities to us so we know the "lay of the land" right off the bat. Mark offered a temporary key for us as we arrived early before our room was ready. This allowed us to check out the back area with access down to the beach. After a splendid walk on the beach with our dog, were were texted that our room was ready. Room 15, first floor near the elevator and lobby, but it was very quiet and convenient. The room is simply appointed but modern and very clean. The view....WOW...worth the price of the room alone. Beds were firm and cozy. They had left a little "Doggie bag" for our dog, with treats, poop bags and a chew toy. When Lacey found out if was my wife's birthday, she offered us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, which we enjoyed while watching the sun go down from our private deck. (see pix) In their lobby, they offer a decent selection of beer, cider, wine, non alcoholic beverages along with some bagged snacks and candies. We took a cab to dinner (have fun, be safe), Yaquina Bay Cab, (see Yelp for them...highly recommend). Dinner at Local Ocean was perfect, then back to The Inn for a soothing hot tub watching the moon and stars. Slept with the deck door open to listen to the waves. Our pre-ordered breakfast arrived to our room just on time, and it was delicious. Marionberry french toast is more of a bread pudding and was FANTASTIC. Wish they had real maple syrup but it wasn't an issue. So a day and a half at The Inn, having a wonderful time, enjoying Newport and friendly staff everywhere we went. We have told friends and now YELP, we will be back for more. read more

Breakfast made to order and served to your room - recommend the French toast and then work it off by a walk down the 100 plus stairs to the beach :) Staff was very helpful and even had a welcome card for our stay. Gift shop has reasonably priced wines and has access to a DVD library, puzzles and games. Best spot - the state beach I think at Cape Lookout - saw juvenile gray whales surfacing from inside, could have sat there all day! We loved our stay and look forward to our next vacation! read more

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at this location for the first time. Having lived in Newport for years, I had seen the Inn at Nye Beach many times, but had never been there. I have another hotel that I usually stay in when I visit Newport now that I no longer live there. I wanted to try to "step up" from my usual stay and the Inn at Nye Beach (mostly) delivered. From the outside, the Inn at Nye Beach doesn't look like much. That changes quickly when you get into the front desk, which is open and stocked with things that you may need (small food items, different local beverages, etc.). Check-in was a quick 3 minute process and we were on our way to our room. I purposely chose one of the more expensive rooms -- it was on the 3rd floor, king size bed, with a fireplace AND a large tub. You pay more for the fireplace and special tub. The room looked fantastic. There are shutters from the bathroom to the bedroom space, so in theory you could soak in the tub and see the television in front of the bed. The shower was awesome and the water dispensing head was about 7' high -- a nice amenity when you are 6'5" and have to bow to get your head wet anywhere else. The view from the balcony was great and we could easily see where the fire pits and the heated infinity pool were. My girlfriend and I are tall, but not large people and we tried the oversized chair and ottoman in the room first. They both look soft, but they aren't. The ottoman is especially hard, as is the backing of the chair. We both didn't really fit that well, so it could accommodate one large person or perhaps a couple children, but two adults, not really. The fireplace worked perfectly and we used it to heat the room. The bed was fairly comfortable and there were plenty of pillows of different firmness, which is always a bonus. During the evening, we ventured down to the fire pits. They are wonderful, although the beach in February can be a little brisk. The pits give off a fair amount of heat, but you have to stay really close when it is sub-40 degrees outside. We wanted to try the infinity pool, but there were too many kids in it. Kids are allowed until 9pm, so we went back to our room and enjoyed the fireplace some more. Later on, we went down to the infinity pool and got it to ourselves for a bit. It was amazing! You could see the dark ocean in between the steam and it was easily warm enough for us. Even when some other adults showed up it was good because they started the jets and between the steam and the jets, we couldn't hardly tell anyone else was there. Now, getting back to our rooms was another story as it was cold all get-out, but we quickly got back to our room and the fireplace. We did try out the oversized tub as well, but it wouldn't hold water. It kept about 2" of water and nothing else, so paying for that amenity was a bust. Also, there were only 3 of the normal sized towels in the room. If you are going to use the infinity pool, the tub, and shower the next day, and you have 2 or more people in the room, you will run out of towels. Just an FYI. Our check-out was super quick and I got e-mailed my bill shortly thereafter. We also got a bottle of wine from the front desk and the prices ranged from $17-$25. I thought it was very reasonable pricing. This place has its own access to the beach and we strolled down there and sat on the wooden steps and watched the ocean and had a great time with that, too. Overall, this is a great place. I can't speak for the other rooms that don't have an ocean view or some of the amenities that we had. Our room was great. The oversized chair needs some work and it was a bummer that the oversized tub wouldn't hold water (my girlfriend said that I had to drop a star from the review since it was an amenity that is paid extra for that didn't work). Rooms could use more towels, too. Other than that, this place is awesome, with a great staff, well kept fire pits and a heated infinity pool, a comfy bed, a nice shower, special off-the-street parking (I forgot to mention that above), and their own beach access. Depending on the price, I would absolutely stay here again. read more

Everything from check in to check out and in between was really wonderful. HUGE thank you to Jessie and everyone of the front desk staff members who are so helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Tons of fun amenities like DVD movie library for your room, wine social, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, French presses, tea kettles, microwave and good sized mini fridge in room. We were really impressed with the fresh breakfast they schedule for you and delivered to your room each morning as part of your stay.. a good variety of choices from breakfast burritos (so yummy), smoked salmon bagels, fresh made cheesy eggs, fresh fruit and berry yogurt parfaits. Also, a variety of fresh squeezed juices. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast from our patio over looking the ocean. It was such a great way to start the day!! All of the staff was so friendly!! The Inn is distance to all the shops and restaurants. LOVED the salt water spa on the cliff overlooking the ocean!! So relaxing! Two weary travelers following the 101 South arrived at Nye Inn around 5pm with no reservations. Sonny greeted us with her welcoming nature and warm smiles (through her face shield) :) We were SO IMPRESSED with the people, property, accommodations, the perks (fresh ground coffee and cookies) and ohh those ocean views! The rooms were clean, modern, quiet and that soaking bath tub...we were in heaven! In fact, Trent helped us source another room to stay another night! Breakfast...Warm? (most hotels served a bag of pre-wrapped crap) AMAZING quiche, fresh berries and juice sent direct to your room during the time slot of your choosing. So tasty and really completes the warm fuzzy feelings. Nye Beach is such a charming, quaint fishing town with views like no other. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again. Simply amazing! The location, the window view, the staff, the room, the amenities, the every bit of experience staying here! We were taken care of from the moment we set foot in the lobby. The administrator handled with a lot of grace the situation where Expedia did not relay to the hotel that we are traveling with a dog: within minutes we had appropriate paperwork, figured out payment details, and our dog got a goodie bag with treats and toys! Modern room with huge bed (and huge pillows); spectacular beach view (just in time to watch the sunset), huge shower room with horizontal faucets; high quality toiletries; high quality tea/coffee service in the room; high quality bed linens, high quality seating place in front of the fire. Disappointed with the quality of the breakfast and the customer service at the front desk. The hotel serves breakfast in your room and promotes it as a special feature of their hotel. They ask for dietary restrictions, but do not offer a menu or options available. I do not eat meat or dairy and was not sure what I would be served, but due to the price of the hotel room ($389 per night) I was expecting a hot breakfast like would be served in a restaurant. I received a container of dry instant oatmeal and two bowls of fruit. This was not comparable to what was served to non-vegan guests. I would say that this hotel doesn't do enough to cater to people with dietary restrictions. There was no restaurant for dinner in the hotel and when I asked for options available nearby, I had to remind about the receptionist about dietary restrictions. Also, the restaurants suggested were closed that day. Overall the room was nice and I enjoyed the fire pits near the beach. It was nice having a fire in the room and I bought a bottle of wine that was pretty good. The amenities available, though, did not warrant the high price. It would have been nice to have been offered a discount if my diet meant that I would not be able to enjoy a breakfast similar to what was advertised. read more

As soon as I walked in the door to my room at the Inn, my heart filled with happiness and excitement. The view was perfect - the beach and the water were right outside my sliding door. There were little touches throughout the Inn that were just lovely. They provided an instant hot water kettle and a French press - making my coffee each morning and sitting out on my balcony became its own peaceful ritual. They offered free cookies in the lobby and had lists of all the eateries around the area with their hours and if they offered delivery. There were plenty within walkable distance, along with little coastal shops. They provide complimentary breakfast to your room every morning. Not having to think about the beginning of my day made my working remotely easy and pleasant. Also can't stress enough how great of a night's sleep I got there. Hearing the ocean through the door in a big comfortable bed is absolute bliss. I would stay at the Inn every time I am in Newport. The staff is friendly, the pool and fire pits were lovely to enjoy in the evening and every guest I met there was wonderful to chat with. read more

Overall, I'm left singing the praises of Inn at Nye Beach. I've already recommended this to several friends. However, as you'll see in the majority of other reviews, the noise issue in the rooms definitely shifted the relaxing environment at times. One thing to note- there were a lot more children than I anticipated. I love kids so it wasn't a bother, but parents let their kids swim, splash and kick water in other guests faces which wasn't great. Pros: location is incredible, the infinity hot tub was amazing, the spacious rooms, amazing bathroom with large soaking tub, very friendly and helpful staff, outdoor fire pit at night, grounds are well kept, complimentary breakfast delivered to room, complimentary coffee and tea selection, variety of wines and snacks for purchase in lobby. Cons: room noise- it was quite loud, can hear upstairs guests, crying child, barking dog, stomping so loudly during all hours of the day and night. Breakfast wasn't great. What an extra special place! I stayed in a suite with my mom, so some of my great experience may be due to having an extra special room but the bed was very comfortable, the view was amazing, the outdoor hot tub has a great view and is open until 11, adults only after 9 I think. The receptionist who checked us in was funny and friendly. The snacks they have available are high quality and often Oregon-made. The best part though was having a French press in our room! We got a little bag of freshly ground coffee when we checked in. Usually hotel coffee is barely drinkable but this was high quality! I've never been so happy to wake up in any other hotel. Criticisms: the chairs were comfortable but I did not like the couch. Breakfast was not bad by any means but I thought the quality of the pastries could have been higher. And this is super nit picky but... having French press coffee in the morning was such a thrilling delight, it would have been twice as delightful to also have with that some real cream instead of those little plastic cups of cream. I'd even purchase it. Overall a very lovely experience and I will definitely go back and do fully recommend this hotel. Also great location and beach access! We loved our stay. Our family stayed in room 20 at the Inn at Nye Beach from June 1-4. First, let me say, we were very pleased with the location, view, breakfast options and hospitality. The 2 bedroom suite was spacious and exactly what we needed for 3 adults and a small child. We originally booked a 2 night stay. When we saw the room we added a 3rd night. Unfortunately for us, this was before we had slept in the room. If we had, we would not have added the extra night and would have been hard pressed to stay the 2nd night originally booked. The bedroom closest to the door was not conducive for sleeping due to the level of noise coming from the water heater room on the other side of the wall. The noise was similar to an air pump turning off and on continuously. It vibrated the wall at the head of the bed. The 1st night, my husband and I tried to sleep in the room and were both unable to sleep at all. The next morning we notified the front desk and maintenance sent up a fan to try and drown out the noise, but said there was nothing else they could do. They were obviously aware of the noise issue because they didn't seem surprised. Not sure what was worse, the vibrating air compressor noise or the fan wind tunnel. The second night, our daughter and granddaughter switched rooms with us. Even with the fan it was still an issue. Sadly, we also tried noise canceling headphones and we even ended up taking turns trying to sleep on the sofa, without sheets or blankets. Even our 3 year old was unable to sleep with the noise. We spent over $1200 on 3 nights for a 2 bedroom suite and were unable to use one of the rooms for sleeping. We were not overly concerned about small issues, like the pool being closed. But an inability to sleep in a room one pays to sleep in, is a problem. Unless the noise problem can be resolved, room 20 should not be booked without informing potential guests of the noise issue in one of the rooms. It definitely put a damper on our trip read more
