Wonderful! Steven at the front desk was great when we called ahead. Nice Jazz music and a big smile met us upon our arrival. Eased the weariness of the 7 hr drive almost immediately. Ordered from a check sheet our breakfast delivery the next morning and retired to our room. We were directly across from the elevator so I was anticipating some noise, but that was unfounded! We never heard anything but ocean waves. Huge comfortable room with everything you need! We went almost directly to the spa with our conveniently purchased (from the lobby) wine & beer! Heavenly infinity spa! Wonderful fire pit area with shower & lounges & a few steps to the beach. Great breakfast arrived the next morning to our door as we enjoyed our French press coffee! A great way to spend our last evening on vacation! Thank you so much for thinking of everything! We will return!

We arrived in Newport without a lodging reservation. My husband likes to wing it and not have any lodging reservations so I wasn't too sure what the Inn At Nye Beach was going to be like. We were pleasantly surprised at our room (#12 right off the office area). It's a large room with a good sized bathroom. It had a desk, couch, coffee table, gas fireplace, sliding glass door to a small deck, and an area that held a microwave, coffee press, small refrigerator and coffee/tea condiments. The inn grinds the coffee beans every morning for you. In the afternoon there are freshly baked cookies in the lobby. Included with each stay is breakfast in the mornings delivered to your room. This is not your average continental breakfast but a yummy breakfast. We had the chef's special of the week which was a marionberry baked french toast. Delicious! There isn't a swimming pool but the infinity hot tub made up for it. It's a generously size hot tub. The view was wonderful. On the other side of the hot tub was a sandy area with an outdoor gas fireplace with chairs surrounding it. It too has a beautiful view. We loved the hotel so much we stayed an additional two nights. There is beach access from the hotel but you had to walk down a lot of steep steps to the beach. If you can't do steps, you can walk to the Nye Beach area (about two blocks downhill from the inn) where there are shops and a few restaurants and then walk down the hill to the beach. The staff was great. The only drawback was the parking lot. The parking lot is very tight and there aren't a lot of spaces. There is on-street parking available. We would definitely stay here again.

    Private balcony overlooking the ocean:)

Nice location but not worth $500 a night. Give it a 31/2 to 4 stars. My husband was not happy with the bathroom, no soaking tub in ours.

This is THE spot. I couldn't be happier with the cool location, amazing customer service and beautiful accommodations. - fresh ground artisan coffee for your in-room hot water kettle and French press. - the room is also outfitted with a fridge & microwave. - the staff is so kind and attentive. They checked in with us after we were settle to see if our room was ok and if we needed anything. - breakfast is included and delivered to your room. - fire pit for sunset watching in style. - the view, the view, the view And the location is in a part of town that we don't usually go to filled with cute shops and restaurants. A really special experience.

This hotel is lovely. I've stayed for two different trips with my family of four. The first time was in August 2020 for a week and the second was a winter overnight. Both times we stayed in the two bedroom suite. It was perfect for us to have a bedroom for our toddler's early bedtime and a space to eat our take out meals due to COVID. They also provided a pack n play for our baby and set it up before our arrival. The hotel seemed to take all the COVID precautions possible and I felt safe enough. Since it's only 3 floors, we used the stairs instead of the elevator and this helped me feel more safe. I can't wait to come back when we can enjoy the beautiful hot tub.

We travelled through on a road trip and enjoyed the infinity spa in between storms. My son loved the spa and the fireplace in the room. We really enjoyed our breakfast fought to our room. The night time front desk gal was so nice. Our tv cable box wasn't working and she came right up and set up our tv and dvd player so we could watch a movie with our son. This was an amazing stay!!!' Sound of waves, walking the 100 steps down to the beach this morning and enjoying the nightly cookies by the front desk. We will for sure be coming back on our way through Oregon.

Complimentary Birthday Sparkling wine at sunset on our deck. Perfecto.

My wife and I came down for a 1 night stay and to dine at Local Ocean, her favorite seafood restaurant in Oregon. From the moment we checked in with Mark and Lacey up front at the desk, we were impressed. Both of them communicated the amenities to us so we know the "lay of the land" right off the bat. Mark offered a temporary key for us as we arrived early before our room was ready. This allowed us to check out the back area with access down to the beach. After a splendid walk on the beach with our dog, were were texted that our room was ready. Room 15, first floor near the elevator and lobby, but it was very quiet and convenient. The room is simply appointed but modern and very clean. The view....WOW...worth the price of the room alone. Beds were firm and cozy. They had left a little "Doggie bag" for our dog, with treats, poop bags and a chew toy. When Lacey found out if was my wife's birthday, she offered us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, which we enjoyed while watching the sun go down from our private deck. (see pix) In their lobby, they offer a decent selection of beer, cider, wine, non alcoholic beverages along with some bagged snacks and candies. We took a cab to dinner (have fun, be safe), Yaquina Bay Cab, (see Yelp for them...highly recommend). Dinner at Local Ocean was perfect, then back to The Inn for a soothing hot tub watching the moon and stars. Slept with the deck door open to listen to the waves. Our pre-ordered breakfast arrived to our room just on time, and it was delicious. Marionberry french toast is more of a bread pudding and was FANTASTIC. Wish they had real maple syrup but it wasn't an issue. So a day and a half at The Inn, having a wonderful time, enjoying Newport and friendly staff everywhere we went. We have told friends and now YELP, we will be back for more.

Great place to stay and explore Newport! Very walkable to little shops in the Nye Beach area. Breakfast made to order and served to your room - recommend the French toast and then work it off by a walk down the 100 plus stairs to the beach :) Staff was very helpful and even had a welcome card for our stay. Gift shop has reasonably priced wines and has access to a DVD library, puzzles and games. Best spot - the state beach I think at Cape Lookout - saw juvenile gray whales surfacing from inside, could have sat there all day! We loved our stay and look forward to our next vacation!

    Breakfast and a view!

Check-in was easy and helpful. The room was great. Kids loved the infinity hot tub. Complimentary breakfast room service was really good! We expected continental breakfast type, but it was made to order and very good.

My view from the balcony to my room. You can see the heated infinity pool and the fire pits. The gate for the beach is just beyond them.

However, - There was zero recycling. We're surrounded by natural magnificence and it killed me to throw out glass, plant and paper in one bin. - Staircases to the beach were treacherous and wooden. Salt air destroys wood, making the descent to the beach scary and splinter-y. The wooden stairs to the beach near the restaurant were particularly dangerous. Areas of the stairs did not have the greenery trimmed back, and at the bottom you have to step through dirty silty water. Those stairs are a lawsuit waiting to happen. - The cement staircases inside the hotel actually had danger signs posted. I fear for older people... Yes, there's an elevator, but.... - No ventilation in bathroom. - The built-in heater screen was filthy and hairy-- possible fire hazard? - the bath/shower had a filthy very used rubber bath mat. No thanks. The 1950s are long gone. The very considerate and well-meaning Doggie gift bag was nice, but someone needs to let the hotel know that hard plastic frisbees break dogs' teeth, the plastic water bottles were not safe BPA plastic, so we just left it behind. Great idea in hospitality, but need an upgrade. So, I had to take away a star.

There…read morewere seven of us, and we stayed in House 134, the four-bedroom, 1.5-bath rental across the street from the hotel. The biggest positive was the location. The ocean views from the living room and the primary bedroom are absolutely beautiful and were one of the highlights of our stay. There were, however, a few things I wish had been disclosed on the website before booking. First, housekeeping is not provided for the rental homes, regardless of the length of your stay. This also means toiletries are not restocked. By the middle of the week, we ended up purchasing our own supplies. This may be standard for some vacation rentals, but it would have been helpful to know ahead of time since it's different from what many guests expect at a hotel. The biggest issue for our family was the layout of the home. There are three to four steps leading down into the primary bedroom, and there is no handrail. My elderly in-laws stayed in that room and had difficulty navigating the stairs. I think this is important information for anyone with mobility concerns. The primary bedroom also does not have an attached bathroom. The half bath is located off the laundry room near the kitchen, on the opposite side of the house, while the full bathroom is in the hallway. For older guests, a few simple safety features like grab bars and a non-slip surface in the bathroom would make a significant difference. I'm not expecting a fully ADA-compliant rental, but some basic accessibility considerations would go a long way. One thing the photos don't really capture is the scale of the furnishings. The home photographs beautifully, and the décor is very stylish, but it felt more like a staged model home than a place designed for a week-long stay. The living room had a very small, low three-person sofa and decorative accent chairs that looked nice but weren't particularly comfortable for relaxing as a larger family. The three smaller bedrooms would also benefit from having dressers or additional storage for guests staying more than a night or two. The kitchen was clean and attractive, but if you plan on cooking most of your meals--as many families do when renting a home--it could use a better selection of cookware. We found the knives, pots, and pans to be fairly limited for preparing meals. Overall, we enjoyed the beautiful views and convenient location, but I think providing more detailed information about the home's layout, amenities, and accessibility would help future guests decide whether it's the right fit for their needs.

So it literally has everything going for it, along with cozy reading nooks, both in the lobby and in the attic on the fourth floor. This property also features a restaurant and community space on its lower level, which we did not utilize during our stay. We stayed in the Maya Angelou suite which is rather large compared to the other rooms and is oceanfront with a semi private balcony, all reasons why I selected it. Note: The bathroom in this suite is tiny, narrow and has an upper window located in the shower which is great for airflow and ventilation but faces the public balcony, so if the window is open and people are on that balcony, you will hear them. Overall we had a peaceful and relaxing stay, exactly what we needed. Our arrival was great. The person who checked us in was welcoming, friendly and super helpful. He gave us a restaurant recommendation that we went to and thoroughly enjoyed. But unfortunately the next day, that staff member was not present. Coffee service in the lobby was inconsistent, unreliable and the customer service was nonexistent. Two people were at the front desk and neither could be bothered to greet us. When we approached them it seemed as if they were bothered by our presence. This won't prevent me from coming back or recommending it because the setting was so lovely and the location is excellent, but I would be cautious of the inconsistent service that could possibly derail the experience.
