Plus, his idea of helping in the garden was to undo everything he saw me doing. I was next to tears and thinking I was a bad dog owner when friends suggested doggy daycare. A Google search brought me to Dogtropolis only 7 minutes away from our home! Connie, the owner, obviously knows how to run a tight ship. There are thoughtfully placed gates and holding areas that insure the dogs are kept safe. Laminated cards keep track of the regulars' needs. And I wish my house smelled as clean as Dogtropolis. Most of all, Buddy is getting the exercise and socialization that he needs. After a day of playing with his four legged friends, he is content to lay on the patio while we enjoy dinner. I am delighted with Dogtropolis and Buddy loves them. A tired dog is a trainable dog.

While I do trust the staff at Mutt-Hutt, I am a little disappointed with one thing in particular.... My Bailey (75lb German Short Haired Pointer) has stayed at the Mutt Hutt on several occasions. Both for day care and several overnight stays of both short and extended lengths. The advantage of this place is the cage free environment they offer. Bailey no longer sleeps in a crate at home so we thought it would be more comfortable for him to stay at a place that would allow him to socialize freely with the other dogs and at the end of the night, sleep on the hodge podge furniture throughout this house. The last time we picked him up, the staff said Bailey isn't allowed to stay overnight anymore. Ruh Roh! Apparently he "barks" too much. Huh? I could understand if he was aggressive, but he's not. At all. High energy, yes, but he's also the kindest, most gentle soul you'd ever meet. But he barks a tad too much according to the staff. That's like saying your child can't stay at day care anymore because your kid cries or talks too much. Nothing wrong with the kid. He plays well with others and is generally fun to be around, but he makes noise. What? Thanks anyways Mutt Hutt. We'll find somewhere else to take our pooch.

She was kinda quiet? I said appt is with Alyssa B. She walks in the back. I'm still at the counter. She's talking with Alyssa B as this is the first time I've seen her. I hear Alyssa B say, "she canceled yesterday. I got a note, put another DOG in the spot!!" I respond, "excuse me . . . I called back to see if the appointment was still available and was told I was in lucky! It was still on the schedule." Alyssa looked at me. Eye contact - took her right hand and closed the door! I sat waiting, then decided HELL NO! Only an unruly teenager acts like that! Not a professional! My question, if she could treat me so rudely- would you trust her grooming your Fur Baby? I will NEVER as in NEVER EVER go there again! Not a call from anyone to apologize? I've always been extremely generous with tips, I've also left snacks! Lately we've been finding folks to just come to the house and house and dog sit because it's cheaper in my dogs won't get sick. Our normal go to kennel unfortunately our dogs come home sick every single time from that kennel without fail. Between violent explosive diarrhea and bouts of kennel cough we elected to try someone new. The second candle we went to was run by a elderly woman who sings her better days have gone by her. While she was nice she forgot to feed her dogs. We came home with more than half of the dog food we sent there which was perfectly portioned for them. My neighbors recommended kennels of Stone Creek we figured third time's a charm. They have an updated website you can register online and of course you have to have your kennel cough and vaccines updated for your pets. That's normal for any kennel. I always thought it was weird that kennels would not let you see where your dog was going to be staying but to be quite Frank I'm pretty sure it's just so the other dogs don't go crazy when someone comes in. I put both of my dogs in the same run and there is no interaction or play time with other dogs and quite frankly I'm fine with that. All of their food was labeled and consumed they came home tired but happy. It's about 60 bucks a day for two dogs of this size so our vacation bill was over 400. But 10 out of 10 would do it again anything so my dogs are taken care of with peace of mind

We did call to check in on the dogs and the staff that answered was so nice and relieved my worries as well. I learned that boarding dogs isn't cheap but they are pretty reasonable. We had prices as high as 1500 for 10 days. I believe we spent 400 !!!!!!!

I explained to the staff over the phone that my dog has anxiety and takes medication as needed for her condition. Staff proceeded to reassure me that they work with dogs with anxiety and other conditions so it should not be a problem. I went in and stayed for almost an hour having my dog accessed and going over medication, drop and pick up times ect. A couple of days before my family was getting ready to leave for our easter weekend vacation i get a call from a "manager" saying that they could not board my dog due to behavioral issues and I was going to have to find somewhere else!! Mind you the staff had already approved my pet and sent my husband and I a confirmation email. Apparently there is no communication amongst staff. This is a mom and pop so there are no real strict rules or guidelines, they do as they please. The manger said she did not like what she read in the notes about my dog. This person was not even the one that accessed my animal. It was awful. I had to find boarding for my dog for easter weekend two days before my flight. I almost had to cancel my trip because of the unprofessional, untrust worthy actions of this place. The staff was very rude to me when i called for further explanation. Everything the prior staff member had reassured me was not going to be a problem about my dogs anxiety all of a sudden was. It was awful. I am glad i did not leave my dog here, and they showed their true colors before i actually trusted them with my furry family member. Very unprofessional and disorganized! And if your pet has any kind of special needs do not trust them. New comers be ware! Even if they confirm your stay it is not solid! They cancelled my reservation even after passing the assessment and receiving confirmation documention! I travel often and board my dog as needed, and I have to say this is the absolute worse experience ive had with any pet needs associates in the Cleveland area and surrounding counties. There are much better options for your furry friend! I hope i was able to a least save some of you the hassle and stress these people put my family through.

She was late and had an attitude from the minute getting out of her car. I figured give her a break, you don't know why or what started her morning off wrong. When we came back to get our dogs, the girl said they had to charge more because our dogs were bad! What??? Four years never a peep now this surprise? I was not happy, plus I wondered about my dogs experience with a crabby lady. Giving the benefit of the doubt and the fact she does a nice job, I decided to call to make an appointment. At first she was ok until I questioned the up charge and my dogs behavior and why? She said she didn't have help with larger dogs. She got defensive and true colors came out. You're going to talk to a paying customer that way? I can't imagine what the dogs go through after we drop them off. The call ended with her stating she didn't want to do my dogs and hung up on me! I would not recommend!
