I went for the first time today to Inner Essence spa. It was a very nice experience. From the moment we entered it was relaxing with soft music, essential oil aromas and dim lights. . My facial was very relaxing, but also I could tell she was handling the health of my skin. My aesthetician let me relax and enjoy the music or make conversation - it was up to me. in between the quiet and relaxing times I did get an education on how to routinely care for my skin. We booked a couples massage. Great service! Very friendly staff. They customized the approaches to each of our wishes. We were welcomed in a nice area with water and relaxing music. For Valentine's Day there were chocolates, grapes and mimosas as well for no extra charge. The massage room was warm, clean and relaxing. Very nice. We will definitely go again! One nice thing to note: they don't charge extra for couples, which isn't always the case. Often there's an up charge to be in the same room. read more

My friend and I wanted a massage before we leave the East Coast.. We were suspicious of the one five star review, but do believe me when I say that this place deserves each and every star. We didn't make an appointment, and yet they were so accommodating. The receptionist started calling right away to see who would be available to come in last minute. And my 60 min swedish massage at $80.00 was divine! I felt so relaxed afterwards.. But with the welcoming atmosphere, it's not difficult to feel relaxed. And I have to agree with the first review. They did not push any product on me unlike the other overpriced places I've been to. They use organic products and if you like it, they will let you know what it is. Mind you, this is not a luxurious resort spa you see in hotels. This is a local business with adequate facilities with professional people that love what they do: help you find some peace. read more

My fiance and I went for a couple's massage this weekend as a belated Valentine's plan. We got there a little early but didn't have to wait long for our two masseuses to be ready. My masseur was Garrett who was nice and made sure I was alright at a few points during the massage. I should have asked him to focus and use more force on my upper back but that may have been my fault. The room was downstairs and had a low ceiling (irrelevant because we're both short) but it had nice dim lighting and one of those faux fireplaces and was definitely warm as were the tables. Room smelled fine, too. Two critiques: 1. In the massage room I wished there were towels or paper towels - they used a *lot* of lotion (is that typical? not sure) and I don't have very dry skin so after the massage I felt a little slimy and wanted to wipe off my neck but had nothing to use. 2. When we arrived, my fiance's masseuse was eating her lunch at the front desk. That's not horrible or awful but it's one of those things where do I really want to see the person's hands all covered in food and such and then later touching your skin? Again, it's not a crime but I'd prefer if the people touching you would eat their meals/snacks in a secluded area. read more

Marissa Lee did my message and she was very pleasant she made me feel very comfortable and she was able to educated me on what she was doing. Irene gave me my facial and she was able to explain the process and she gave me recommendations on what I should do for continue care. I was able to use the spa week gift cards I relieved for an occasion and I had to make an appointment. I would definitely go again. I received great service. read more

Soooo amazing from start to finish! Having a facial here with Irina was literally the best thing I have done for myself in years. I called in as soon as the spa opened on a weekday and I was given an appointment the same day. The girl who took down my info and greeted me in the spa was super sweet. The spa is pretty unassuming from the outside but once you get inside it's beautifully decorated, smells amazing and just exudes this peacefulness. Absolutely wonderful. The facial beds are super comfy and have built in warmers which was really dope as it was really cold outside. I consulted with Irina about what kind of facial to get being that the first one I ever had was years and years prior. She washed my face and took a look at it under a magnifier and recommended a blueberry peel along with an organic facial. The peel smelled wonderful, left my skin super tingly and facilitated a really thorough de-gunking of my pores. I didn't even realize my pores were so clogged. My arms, shoulders and scalp were meticulously massaged and moisturized while I chilled with a combo of masks on. Then she left for a bit and I just felt so incredibly zen laying in that freaking amazing heated bed. She washed off the final mask, moisturized, and sunscreened me, and when I looked in the mirror and touched my new silky soft skin I felt like a new woman. Will definitely be back! read more

I came here on Saturday for a Valentine's Day couple's 1-hour massage with my boyfriend. We were nervous coming in because it is right next to a car dealership and we were worried about potential noise, but our fears were unfounded! So don't be deceived by the outside look of the spa, the inside is calm, relaxing, and an utter oasis! It was decorated for Valentine's Day and they offered us tea or mimosas and fruit while we filled out the forms with our info. I was helped by Ula, and my boyfriend was helped by Maricelli. We were both super pleased with the quality of our massages. We got to choose the scent of our massage oil and I got a lemongrass-scented one. I'm no massage connoisseur, but it's easy to recognize competent work when you see it. The 2 occasions that I visited Inner Essence Spa surpassed expectations and all previous experiences (at similar or higher-priced establishments)... so much so that I willingly drive an hour from Westchester in NY for the experience. On one or both occasions, Wendy was my masseuse, and she obviously knows what she's doing! I also got my picky friend (who likes very hard massages) to come in for a different masseuse, and her experience was also very positive. So I highly recommend this place, and on top of it all, their prices are very reasonable for massage, especially of such high quality. read more

I have been here twice for massages and I have been very impressed. The staff are amazing and very knowledgeable. I have has Maricela (sp) both times and I have never had a better massage (and I get a massage at least once a month). My mom has also gone with me both times and loved her massages as well. My mom has some injuries and the masseuses have been able to work with her well. I also really appreciate that you can almost always get a reservation within a day. I had a couple of hours free yesterday and thought I'd finally get that post-pandemic waxing done. The waxing was fine, and my sensitive skin had a very minimal reaction afterwards. But I chose Inner Essence because they offer so much more than the routine day spa menu. They also do foot reflexology! And the way they described the service on their website, I knew it would be the Real Deal, not just some bored girl rubbing my feet for an hour. I decided to get my boyfriend a massage for Christmas, so we went on January 2nd and he had Ula. The customer service was absolutely amazing. I wasn't even the one getting the massage, I was sitting in the waiting room (beautiful and SO peaceful, I want my house to look like that) and they still kept offering me water and anything else I might need. Ula was amazing, my boyfriend said she did an amazing job. He got the deep tissue massage, and was even a little sore the next day (which if you know about massages, that's a good thing). I am a local massage therapist and I had been searching for a new therapist for myself (and one to recommend to clients when I'm booked) and happily found Inner Essence a few weeks ago. Shana was my therapist and I booked a 2-hour session with her. The work was fantastic and incredibly thorough. Shana has a beautiful presence and knows her craft very, very well. Nalda was an amazing massage therapist for my massage today. Used a gift certificate and went here for the first time about a month ago. I got a 30 minute deep tissue massage, an eyebrow wax, and a shellac (gel) manicure. The massage and eyebrow wax went perfectly smooth! Loved every minute of both! My nails, however, were a bit of a hot mess. The lady that did them said she didn't like to use a tool scrape the gel off of nails for fear of ruining them (fair enough), so instead she kept using what she thought was polish remover with acetone and her own nails to scrape the polish off my nails. This process took a good 30 minutes in itself because the polish was not coming off. She used about 3 coats of the gel polish on my nails, but in the end I still had areas where the nail was missed. I was traveling for work the next day and noticed a few of my nails had started chipping already! I was so annoyed. The entire manicure took about 2.5 hours and while the lady was pleasant, she moved at a snails pace and didn't do the best job. I'd go back for a massage or eyebrows, but I'll stick to other salons for my nails. read more

I've had massages in many Caribbean countries, and all over CT. I was a regular at another spa, but wanted to find a place on this side of the Q bridge. Who wants to drive in traffic after a nice relaxing massage??? I tried inner essence; Wendy gave me my massage. This was without a doubt the best massage I have ever had. I became a member there, and get a massage every month, Wendy listens to what you want, and more importantly, what you don't want. I have had some back problems, and she knows exactly where they are, and does deep massage when needed, as well as stretching you. When she's done, I am so relaxed, I want to rent a bed to take a nap. I wasn't going to include Wendy's name, because I didn't want to have a hard time getting an appointment with her, but I have to give credit where credit is due!
