I ordered tires online and had them delivered to this location, along with an oil change. Unfortunately, they didn't place an oil-change reminder sticker on my car, claiming they had run out. Then, I scheduled a vehicle inspection for 9:00 a.m 10/7 and rearranged my work schedule (I'm a nurse, so this was not easy). At the last minute, I was told the inspector called out and I'd need to come back the following day. I was promised a small discount and rescheduled again. When I showed up this morning, they had no record of my appointment and no emissions stickers available. The staff was unprofessional and unsympathetic. Overall, this location's communication and customer service were very disappointing. If you plan to use this Pep Boys, I'd strongly recommend double-checking your appointment and having a backup plan. Currently I am driving around with outdated inspection stickers but plan on finding another place today.

Incidentally, the alignment was not 100% right and requested the Palmers at Meineke Exton to take a look again. Not only did they fully agree to take a look, they also did not charge for the redo. Bill Palmer, the shop manager, is extremely polite, professional and patient, taking the time to explain everything and answering every question I had. I want Exton & nearby areas folks in need of any auto care to know that this Meineke location operated by the Palmers is GREAT. Customer experience is top priority and you can feel it first hand. There are a lot of auto care shops around but this one steals the show. I personally would continue coming here for all my needs and would recommend the same to all friends and family including at work.

I explained to them that I've had some less than stellar experiences with other local establishments and I was looking for a good experience this time. The repair that I needed on my Genesis involved a part that is unavailable through Hyundai. I had been told by another establishment that they could not obtain the part and that my only choice was to replace the entire drive shaft. My own online research proved the part was damn near impossible to find and I was staring at the possibility of an unnecessarily expensive repair because of a hard to find part. I fully explained all of this when I brought my car in with my fingers crossed that they would be able to come through for me. Well, Maclane's came through!! They were able to source the hard to find part, faced down a couple curve balls that Genesis tends to throw at mechanics when they work on them and the repair was completed. When I brought my car in, I put it in no uncertain terms that I needed them to communicate with me regarding any findings or issues as they went along. They assured me that would be the case. They came through spectacularly in this regard (!!!) with phone calls and text messages to keep me updated as the work progressed. They gave me with a ride home when I dropped off my car and picked me up at my house when it was ready. What I paid for the work was more than fair, considering some of the challenges that my car presented. In closing, (finally, right?) I can honestly say that this was the single best experience I've ever had with ANY establishment. They have earned my business - and my respect.
