Another contractor couldn't start until two weeks later. Alex made a site visit and was very personable. With the lead time, we chose Alex. Right when we chose him, he wanted to start that day! I said OK. That afternoon the demolition began. In two weeks he completed the job. He will work around your schedule. We had a family incident and needed to push back the work a day. We also had to wait a few days for the faucet to be delivered. The hours are up to you. We were OK with his team working into the late evening to get the job done because we were down a bathroom. Vitali and Alex work really really hard and long hours. There were some up sale items, but we picked which ones we wanted. Our vanity was in bad shape; so we updated the vanity, sink, backsplash and faucet. Alex quoted us a great price and offered to do tile flooring which would have made the bathroom even nicer, but we decided that the flooring would be fine. Maybe save that for the next remodel. Going through any type of remodel or home update is emotional and risky. We did a home remodel years back and that's when we learned you can really only choose two of the three: quality, cost, or speed. With Alex we were able to get close to all three. Obviously your home is very dear, and there are small little things that you can sweat over. Your home will never be perfect. Not a year goes by without some work that needs to be done to my home. They installed the cabinets that I sourced from another company (although they also manufacture their own cabinets in-house), and everything was installed to spec with the trim pieces cut perfectly to match. For the countertops, I sourced my own quartzite slabs, and F&L handled the rest. They picked up the slabs, created the templates based on my cabinets, fabricated everything, and completed the installation. The templating team also went above and beyond to make sure my expensive slabs were used as efficiently as possible with virtually nothing wasted. They took the time to help me plan the layout so the veining flowed naturally across the countertops and backsplash, which made a huge difference in the final result.
