Just got my car detailed over the weekend. Where do I begin... I looked on craiglist and a couple different search engines to find a detailers that was experienced and affordable, took me a couple of days to make a list. This is the reason why I chose Innovative Detailing: -Experienced, family owned business -Dave, the owner, came to check out the car before hand to give me and estimate and gave me his opinion on what needed to be done -Dave was honest and geniune...cant just leave you car up to someone you dont trust! -Youtube videos and websites allowed me to see his work and exposure to the public -Insured, experienced, licenced My Vehicle: the only thing I was worried about was that my car was unlike most of his cars on his websites ie. high end luxury. I just recently purchased a used 4Runner for my outdoor activities therefore I really needed someone who would do work. My vehicle had a grille guard, front air deflector, stickers, bird poop residue, and stratches all over. It was previous owned by the original owner who parked it outside and never really maintained the body work. After: Ben his assistant actually did most of the detailing. He was very thorough and experienced in detailing. Very friendly as well. Detailing took about 4-5 hours and here are some remarks: -These guys are experienced they have a system on how to clean your car -I recommend getting your car cleaned on the street in possible to reduce the dirt on your drive way -Claying process was not overlooked, took his time and really went over the whole vehicle -Stain were out of the carpets -Every detail of the car was clean -Scratches were even filled in with Black touch up paint -Tow hitch was resprayed to original color (great surprise!) Overall hard working detailers that do not overlook anything about your car regardless of year and make. If you watch their youtube videos you can see there transformations. Price was reasonable and honest, you get for what you pay for and I believe I got more than I paid for! read more

Great Service... what can I say? Actually, I can say a lot. After a long drive back from a vacation Dave actually made some time to talk to me about the service I wanted and set up a date soon after. Now that what I call helpful! This was the first time I've ever had a professional detail job on car ever. I was pretty nervous, especially since it was my first brand new luxury car ever! (I had a bad car wash experience that left some unsightly fine scratches on my car and on the door pillars that I wanted fixed) After seeing some of his work on his website and through some of the car forums that I browse through, I thought to myself, yea, this is place I'd like to go to. I'll never go anywhere else to have my cars paint taken care of. I bought a new BMW 328 about a month ago and the dealer (my fault for not checking thoroughly) delivered the car along with a package of swirl marks to go with it. Was very bummed to be driving a new car that looked like it was a year old already. I searched around the area for a couple of weeks and settled on Innovative Detailing. I went in, talked to Dave, and he explained in detail how the paint gets scratched, his process for removing it, and quoted me a price. I scheduled an appointment to drop off the car and get the work done. Upon pickup, I was amazed at how different the car looked. He had removed all the swirl marks and minor scratches it had, polished he paint to a smooth finish, and coated it with a sealant. The paint felt so smooth and gained another dimension of depth. Dave gave me detailed tips on taking care of the paint on my own as well. I would highly recommend bringing your car to him, and trust that his work is solid and quality work. I'm about to sell my '04 Acura TSX and I figured that the car would sell more if it had that detailed shine. So I looked around on Yelp for a place that was highly rated. Innovative Detailing popped up and bam! 5 stars. Usually I'm a bit weary about a solid 5 stars but with as many reviews as there was, I decided to do a little research. The website provides each level of service in detail and also provides the price up front which is a huge plus. The prices are a bit on the high side but if you read some of the other reviews, you'll note that the customer service and the detailing are superior. So I called up Dave the owner and I talked about my car a little. He told me that he thought the mini detail would provide the most bang for the buck. Since I work from 8:30 to 5:00, I needed to drop the car off at the shop early. Dave wasn't going to be in the shop until 10:00, but he drove over to meet me there at 8:00. We went over the car in detail and I agreed that the mini detail would be enough to get me through the sales process but I added the engine detail and minor headlight restoration as well so the car would show better. I came to pick up the car at 5:30 and I was shocked! It looked amazing! The minor service made the exterior of the car look like when I bought it as a certified used vehicle. The headlights were perfectly clear and the engine looks like it has almost never been run. Wow! If you're looking to save money on detailing, look elsewhere, but if you want the job done right, this is definitely your place. Dave is an expert and you can tell when you talk to him he's been doing this for a long time and he knows what he's talking about. The customer service is second to none in my opinion. Dave is the man! Bought a new 4Runner and within a week it was scratched. Dealer tried to fix it but ended up just giving me swirl marks. Called Dave today and he sounded busy but said to swing by. When I arrived, he dropped everything he was doing and took care of my car. He got 95% of the scratches out (others were too deep. Not his fault) and all of the swirl marks were gone. I'm super happy with how my car came out and really appreciate how Dave treated me like his most important customer even though I was probably his cheapest job. INNOVATIVE DETAILING was referred to me by my former detailer (very famous reputation in socal among car aficionados and car forum regulars) who used to go way out of his local market to detail my vehicles. At first I was hesitant to try someone else local (after the many disappointing encounters with sub-par detailers working the Orange County, CA market left me jaded), but when my former detailer refused to drive 2+ hours just to detail my vehicles in OC I had no other choice... WOW! AM I GLAD HE REFERRED ME TO INNOVATIVE DETAILING! :D My first experience with them was one week ago when I had one of my Mercedes put on a maintainence plan. David personally came out with his staff, explained what he planned to do with my vehicle, took the time to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns, reassured me that he has been doing this for 25 years and is properly licensed, insured, and bonded (required of any detailer I use), and then proceeded to work on my vehicle as I kept a sharp eye on them. I was extremely impressed by what I saw! Not once did I see David or his staff do anything to potentially harm my precious vehicle: no dropping any microfiber towels or brushes on the ground (and reusing them again), no using ammonia-based cleaners on my tint or coated LCD screens, etc. I was so impressed with the quality of service and work (and the reasonable price) that I scheduled them to give my other Mercedes a full detail yesterday afternoon... and they impressed me yet again! Not only do they vacuum your carpets and mats... they shampoo & wash all of them too! David Sylican, the owner/operator of Innovative Detailing, did an excellent job on my black Ford F150. Black paint is very difficult to take care of. I've been to other detailers that left swirl marks and made my paint look worse. David restored my paint back to the original finish and it has never looked better. The ceramic coating that he applied has made my truck look brand new, and I don't have to wax it again for a long time. I recently purchased a brand new Subaru STI and prior to meeting Dave was having it detailed by a couple local detailers (won't name any names). After dealing with them, I was very disappointed at the amount of swirls and marring that were left all over my car. The color of the car is dark grey so it was very obvious to see. I was sick to my stomach just looking at it. I then decided to try another detailer in Costa Mesa to see if he could correct the issue. Boy was I fooled! I get my car back and it looked great at the time! What I didn't realize was that he just temporally covered it up and didn't correct anything. 2 car washes later (same detailer) I realize everything had come right back and the "glaze" he said he used must have come right off. Huge disappointment! I then decided to do some more re-search and found Dave at Innovative Detailing. After the first conversation I had with Dave I knew I had I found the right guy. He was very knowledgeable and really explained the entire process of how he was going to remove the issues. Prior to meeting Dave, no other detailer took the time to do that and I really appreciated that. I left my car with him for almost a full day and was absolutely amazed when I picked it up. Dave and Danny absolutely went above and beyond and made my car look better than the day I bought it. I was amazed. Dave then took the time to really explain how to avoid the swirls and use the right techniques so this won't happen in the future. I also realized that Innovative Detailing could install the xpel clear bra I needed on my front bumper. I have had them installed before on prior cars I have owned and on other areas of my current car. They are great at preventing rock chips. I had Dave and his team install this last night and I have never had it done as good as it was done yesterday. Same price as the last company that did it, but the quality of the job faaaaaaar exceeded the last time I had it done. He wraps the ends around the bumper instead of cutting it at the edge. Can't even tell it's there. I like it so much so that I will be having him re-do the other areas I have covered. Amazed yet again by Innovative Detailing. These guys lived up to the hype! I had tree sap on my car for the past several months. I finally got around to trying to remove it myself using surfboard wax remover (I don't know what I was thinking). It looked like I tried removing it with steel wool. Actually, I do know what I was thinking. I was trying to save a buck. I took it over to Innovative Detailing and they not only got the tree sap out and corrected my mistakes but they made the paint look like a brand new paint job. I know he is always putting his 110% effort into his work. I first contacted Dave in the summer of 2012. I had been enjoying my recently purchased 1997 Monte Carlo Blue NSX for over a year at this point but I always knew I needed to have to professionally detailed, being that 90% of the paint was factory, it was due for some TLC. Early this spring, I made the mistake of leaving my new (black) vehicle with valet at a parking structure at LAX. They were to completely detail it prior to my return. The team had historically done a great job washing but I was in for a big surprise relating to their ability to clay, compound, and wax. I came back to the worst swirl and 'halo' marks I had ever seen on a vehicle, let alone one that was just a few months old! I immediately sought out the manager of the property and worked to contained my extreme frustration and dismay. While the insurance company cut me a check for $300, I've never seen anyone able to remove these type of deep impressions from any vehicle and I did not want to repaint my brand new ride. After weeks of searching I spoke to Dave and made the 1hr drive to visit he and his team. I left them the keys, walked to Starbucks with my laptop, and crossed my fingers. What I returned to after 5hrs was simply amazing. My rig went from looking 5+ years old to better (yes, better) than the day I drove it home with 1.2 miles on the odometer! A good 97% of the small scratches, deep scratches, swirl marks, halos, and the small door ding scuff were gone! I'm confident that with my next visit, every blemish will be corrected. I generally make an effort to detail my own vehicle, a Subaru WRX, however it got to a point where it was soooooooo dirty that I couldn't bear to even start and I would never take it to any old 'hand-wash' place. He was nice enough to stay late on a Friday evening so I could drop the car off to him after work and he would take care of it on Saturday. Dave worked wonders on some overspray or sunscreen (I'm still not sure what it was) on some leather seats. I tried to remove it myself with no luck; my regular car wash had no ideas either. I had my 996 Turbo headlamps restored by Innovative Detailing (highest level of restoration). They literally look brand new from being pretty yellowed with quite a bit of delamination. The best thing about it is that the epoxy that's on the OEM lamps is replaced (with another epoxy), not just removed, and then polished. I recently bought a brand new pearl black 2014 Audi R8 and made the terrible mistake of getting it washed and waxed by an 'amateur' after a weekend of fun in the car. This is my first BLACK car and I guess you could call it a "labor of love". While black when done right is probably the slickest on the road, it also is extremely temperamental and shows every imperfection. To make a long story short, after getting detailed by someone else, the car had quite a few swirl marks, holograms and even some deep scratches. I was not happy so I called Innovative. I spoke to Dave and he knew how to address the problem and gave me a reasonable quote over the phone without even seeing the car. Dave took me the next morning and he and his team all worked on the car, polishing it, sealing it, and doing whatever it took to make it flawless again. When i picked up the car, Dave was nice enough to discuss with me proper maintenance techniques and also showed me all the premium products he uses. There really is so much to this business that I couldn't believe it. The work he did was pretty amazing and I can't recommend his studio enough if you want a true professional and not some hack job done by a sloppy idiot looking to make a few extra bucks on the side. For those out there with Supercars or cars worth over $100,000, please do yourself a favor and use Dave for the professional work and stick to just the simple stuff on your own.
