This is by far the worst experience in my entire life! I'm taking the time to write this review so that I can perhaps help the next victim! Do not speak to Nita who run this place, in fact avoid Innovative Healthcare in Fallbrook. I was suppose to have a nurse coming g to my house after my surgery and she sent someone with no experience and slept throughout the time I needed help. If she wasn't sleeping, she was on her phone, never once did she help me, I asked her to leave my house and she wouldn't. I'm appalled by how companies as this one is in business. Review for Innovative Healthcare Consultants I had a terrible experience with Innovative Healthcare Consultants. The caregiver they sent, Vincenza, was extremely unprofessional. She slept during her shift, and when we told her that staying awake was necessary, she became very defensive. We also explained that my mom's pillows were arranged specifically for her comfort after neck surgery, and asked that they not be moved. Instead of being respectful, the caregiver got upset, saying we were focusing on "little things" and threatened to leave. When I told her she could go ahead and do that, she started yelling. We then told her to leave the house, which she did--slamming the door and continuing to yell all the way to her car in the street. The difference between this caregiver and others we've had from other companies was night and day. Innovative Healthcare Consultants clearly needs to improve their screening and hiring processes. I've blocked them through my company's benefits portal to ensure I never have to deal with them again. I would not recommend this service to anyone. read more

Got re-routed when I tried to call anthem. The representative was dishonest as he stated that anthem would not allow my newborn into our plan so we needed to sign up for a private plan. This was false. When I attempted to cancel they said a six month minimum was required. I believe they use deceiving business practices for a quick buck from people just trying to purchase insurance for a loved one. I would suggest you avoid them at all costs. read more

Caretaker was great. Company is not reliable. Had lots of trouble with billing. Took months to try to straight it out. Lost money because they billed me one dollar amount and billed the insurance a lesser figure. Would suggest not using them. Stopped after less than a year. Went with a different company. read more

This is a review for services in March 2021. WORST agency ever! My backup care agency through work sent caregivers from this agency to care for my 3 year old while we had a drop in our regular care and I had to work. It was only for four days, and I had three caregivers from this agency. - One was good - experienced, engaged my child, and was responsible. - The second one was on the older side; in the beginning she was very nice. I walked her through the schedule, diet, activities, etc. My daughter is on a healthy diet and she doesn't eat processed food or anything with sugar - Few hours into the day, she tells me that her caregiver gave her cookie and candy! I was in shock! How can you give anything like this to a child without asking the parent? Especially that we were working from home. Diet aside, she could've had allergies or other serious health conditions. Even worse, she wasn't the one who told me, my child did. And when I asked her if that was true, she freaked out and asked about allergies (well, you should ask this BEFORE you give something to a child) - The third one was epic; I don't even know why she bothered showing up. Showed up an hour late due to the agency's fault, then she sat there, playing with her phone, hanging out by herself. My daughter asked her to play, she wasn't responsive. I made breakfast for my daughter and asked her to come sit with us and help her eat, she just gave her back to my daughter and watched Echo Show. The final straw was when my daughter was climbing and was about to fall while she was right by her and she didn't move. That was it for me - I told her that this is not working, I'm not sure why she was here, and she needed to leave. She said okay - never apologized, tried to redeem herself...NOTHING! Worse, when I called the agency, they didn't even bother asking why she left early, or apology for sending a remarkably unqualified person; they just asked when she arrived and when she left so they pay her and charge me. Needless to say, this agency is on the "never call list" even if your life depends on it, because they are clearly hire unqualified people who cannot do their jobs. read more

Innovative was a wonderful company once upon a time, but sadly it has spiraled downhill quickly since late 2016 when the founding owner retired and a new owner took over. The prior owner was an RN, CCM, etc., but the new owner appears to have no nursing or care management background. I have had numerous negative experiences with this new owner. I will say the caregivers have been great... but other agencies also have great caregivers, without the nonsense at the owner/business level. This new owner of Innovative seems to be all about "business" and the bottom line. Anytime I've questioned her on something (rate change, etc.), she makes comments related to how she is "running a business". My strong recommendation would be to interview at least three care agencies, and review all three of their contracts so you can see how the terms compare (not just the hourly rate, but what is the late payment policy, the termination clause, the buy-out fee, etc.) I know it's extra work, during what is usually a stressful and/or emotional time, but it is so worth it to take the time and energy to compare several companies. If you've never hired a care agency before, you won't know what's "usual" or "customary" unless you compare several. Also ask for referrals - it's especially great if the agency can give you "professional fiduciary" referrals, as these are people who routinely manage the affairs for elderly/disabled and thus will have a far more broad experience with various care agencies than a single-family client who has experience with only the one agency. Certainly Innovative could be among those that you consider, but proceed with caution, and shop around. These care agencies are NOT all created equal! read more
