I'm giving them 2 stars because they did a nice job on the generator(generator alone is 4 stars)and they always come out when I call them but I don't think solar is their area of expertise.

Gave us 33 panals for a home sending to grid 1800+ kWh per month to the grid. As explained when first signed the contract numbers provided from sales rep where estimate since I didn't even have furniture in the house or anything since I had just purchased the home so couldn't show any real numbers. Also exclaimed our home prior to purchase was updated to 4 -2 to a 6 bedroom 3 bath and never updated in city. I didn't even have washing machine for home and we ate and sat and sleeped on the floor for months since we moved from out of state! The numbers matching actual production isn't what we consume accurately and sold under false pretenses. Solar panals advertising is to loose the grid not buy $50,000 worth of debit and increase energy bills. My home was and still unfortunately under calculating my family consumption. I can produce real billls for a year for real projections. But numbers generated under false pretenses can't be justified . We have 33 panals and should have at minimum 60 panels , hence why we got ride of 13 trees thinking it's us but our system goes to safe mode to prevent system to shut down after consuming literally 30% of our daily consumption sending it to grid daily! I talked to both owners, Christina and Jared, because they both came to my house at different times during the installation, and I'm an inquisitive and demanding customer (Warren Buffet was my neighbor back in Omaha) ... you make me happy, you're the best at what you do! I even offered to buy a percentage of the company, but they turned me down saying, "This is our life's work. We love what we do." They killed the competition. SunPro/ADT ($45k) was almost 50% higher than the price of Bay Area Solar ($31,776). A third less memorable competitor was 20% more and far less professional and friendly. Installation was fast and professional. I've been researching solar panels for 30 years so I knew what I was getting, and I got the best bang for the buck. No money down, $8261 Federal Tax Credit, $160 a month for 20 years, written guarantee that all my panels will produce 95% of what they produce the first day of installation, or Bay Area Solar will replace them for free. My bill with Duke has consistently been the minimum $35.96, with a few winter months around $60 due to more cloudy days and angle of the sun. My neighborhood was built in 1978, and my neighbors consistently pay $300, $400, and sometimes $500 a month. Other than buying my Toyota Prius, I've never been more happy with a product in my life.Other than buying my Toyota Prius, I've never been more happy with a product in my life. Instead of them making a trip out to me (I live in Seffner so it have been a 90 minute drive for them) they helped me by providing the company I needed to talk to about my needing a new, up to date, monito. My monitor system was obsolete and working at all like it should, so I couldn't do a remote evaluation. They saved me $300 by taking the time to assist me instead of charging me.
