A bar in the hotel? Even better, there's a bar with food in our hotel. Better yet, the prepaid breakfasts worked well for us. Burrito on the go the next morning. This is only toward the "breakfast buffet" If I could have a do over I would have raised the lids and inspected the items in the "buffet". So your choices are scrabbled eggs (powdered), cubed style hash browns (dried out), pancake, a breakfast burrito (that consist of the fore mentioned items less the pancake) and finally danishes. If this was a free meal one couldn't complain. However for two "buffets" 2 waters and one coffee cam to $39. And some change. DI NOT GET THE BUFFET! federal prisoners eat better breakfast! read more

A male friend and I went there for lunch today. I found a 10 dollar voucher on Yelp, bought it and headed to lunch. The place was clean, quiet and we were sat immediately. The bartender was extremely nice as was our waitress. Our order was taken efficiently and the food came out quickly. I had a chicken sandwich and he had salmon. The food was well prepared and wonderfully presented. The price was competitive and pretty much what one would expect to spend here. So, why the two then? You might ask..... My friend had the voucher and voucher number on his phone. The waitress was not especially familiar with how it works. My friend showed her the voucher number on the phone. He expected she would write it down. Instead, she took his phone. He didn't panic as he thought she was just going to call over a manager to see it. Completely unexpectedly, she took his phone and left. She walked through the hotel lobby and disappeared into the back office. She actually took my friends unlocked phone into back office and was gone for ten minutes. My friend was absolutely freaking out and angry. All his banking, credit card info and everything else people keep on their phones was open to anyone that had the phone. He went knocking on doors to the office and nobody answered. Ten minutes later she came out and gave him his phone and said she figured out the voucher. He was forced to change a dozen passwords and was highly agitated. Who does that? Looking for a quiet place to watch your sports? This place right here. I brought my husband to watch the avs a d it was perfect. The food is delicious and the have a great selection on tap. The waitress (sadly i forgot her name) followed us woth remotes and changed two out of many tv's for us. Moderately priced. Dim lights. Great enviornment. I'm staying at the hotel next door, Thursday, I decide to order Room service I got the steak salad and the quesadilla with chicken. The steak on the salad was rare, which I asked for medium. The mixed greens was primarily iceberg lettuce not impressed with the Salad at all. The quesadilla was burnt. Not good but better than the salad. 34.00 for this, yes its hotel food, so its 3 times more than what you get at a off site restaurant. Friday was a 12 hour work day, I did not want to do anything but lay in bed and eat a pile of wings... so I tried the restaurant again. Called room service at 7pm, at 8pm nothing after being told 20 min. I can understand if a hotel connected joint gets bogged down at dinner time, but they wrote the wrong room number down... Waited another 20 min for the food to come up. I ordered fish-and-chips and Wings. The fish batter was burnt although the fish was kind of juicy still inside so, passable, but I didn't like it. The fries were the star good crispy fries no problem here. The coleslaw was blah just basically mayonaise covered cabbage. The wings, omg... so salty it was disgusting!!!! Lazy on the celery and carrots, and some greasy fried chips, cooked past what they should have been. Gross!! The person on the phone said they would reduce the bill for the room mixup... but for this, 35.00, no reduction... instead a slice of cheese cake. No garnish, fruit.. anything!!!!!! This was a inexperienced cook level of an attempt of food. The treatment of the food was some of the worst I have seen and some of the worst room service food I have had in awhile. Who is watching quality? For one of the better hotels in the area, such a let down! Steer clear of this one folks. read more

I went to this newer bar yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised at what i saw. huuuuge tv's. a decent selection of beer. cozy booths. mood lighting. wide variety of food. the beer was cheap and the food was pretty good. I wanted simple so ordered penne Alfredo, I was told it came with a side so I ordered mashed potato and gravy, not something I'd ever have with pasta but didn't want fried food so went with it. The Alfredo was ok, but that's all it was. A little bland but ok, at least the pasta wasn't over cooked. And then there was the mash and gravy. It was stone cold, really cold, so I sent it back. A few minutes later it returned and I was assured it would be fine now...but it wasn't. It was still cold. That it was cold twice shows the chefs have a complete lack of interest in the food they are serving. They can't even use a microwave properly!! Would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Stayed in the hotel connected to this restaurant so I decided to give it a try. The food was a huge let down, chicken was incredibly dry and the rice it came with tasted old and stiff. I should have payed attention to the fact that for two days, the place had little to no people. Their prices are also way too high for the lack of quality that they offer. Payed $16 for a plate of satay chicken and rice. Portioning of the food is very little as well. Don't come here unless you have no other options. read more

The food is fine, nothing spectacular, but not any better or worse than the other restaurants within walking distance of this location. Not too bad. Especially after reading some older reviews. Went here because the staff across street at Old Chicago are clueless and waited 15 minutes and then left. The servers at insider were attentive and pleasant. The food was very decent for a hotel bar/grill. They need better pickles though. Place is clean and is clearly well managed. I really like this place for the following reasons: 1. You always get a seat without waiting 2. Their TVs are cleverly installed thoughout the place so you have a good view from wherever you sit. 3. The food is consistent and above bar-food standards (try the HUGE cobb salad) 4. The staff is always nice, polite, and fast 5. Their beer selection is quite adequate (my fav.: Ranger IPA) 6. The ambiance is great in both the dining area and the bar. 7. They never give you a hard time when you want to use a certificate (e.g. restaurant.com, etc.) like some other places do it really all depends what you are looking for, but for a burger and craft beer with friends while watching the game: this place is it! read more

This is a nice new establishment connected to the Holiday Inn. I liked the appearance as soon as I walked in. Bar in front with tv's above the bar. The booths are comfortable and roomy so they seat 4 comfortably. In the main dining area they also have 6 big screen tv's to capture plenty of sports action. I also noticed seating outside. The menu is conservative but they have plenty to choose from. I went with the Reuben which always scares me because usually there is alot of grissel in the corned beef and with one bite the meat usually ends up being pulled out of the sandwich onto my lap or plate. The corned beef in this sandwich was perfect. Good flavor and not too much grissel. It was a quiet afternoon with a few people at the bar and others in the dining area, so the service was timely. The food was served quick and hot. I will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu like the California club. read more

So far not impressed, we've been here for about 30-40 minutes. Server had got 3 of 5 drinks right away. Had to ask someone else if we could get our server to get our drinks & order our breakfast. When we asked for our chocolate milk and orange juice and the other server said 'yup there's your server' was VERY rude. Our first restaurant in Colorado & this is NOT how we expect to be treated. It's not the best, not the worst. It's a nice change of pace considering where we live there isn't (what I feel) is very much variety. We got the buffalo chicken fries, nachos and chicken strips to share. The chicken strips were nice and crunchy, which is how I like them. The nachos were obviously microwaved and served with tri-color chips, and the buffalo chicken fries were alright. I've only been once so I don't feel like I can give them 5 stars, yet. They have a great selection of craft beers (very important to my wife & I) and their nachos were amazing! These weren't your average nachos where only the top layer has goodies and all of the inside ones are dry. They give you plenty of goodies to last through every chip. The green chili they pour on/over/around is so good & the chicken has an excellent smoky grilled flavor. They also have lots of TVs for watching whatever games might be on. We're looking forward to going back & trying other menu items! read more

Stayed at the hotel attached to it and ate here a couple night. One consistent this be is the staff is super friendly. The food is also good. The menu is very small though with only a handful of options. Only gripe is the pricing is outrageous for what it actually is;bar food. Overall not a bad choice but just way too expensive which is a shame. read more

There is a nice variety of music playing in the background. We also enjoyed the cheeseburger the night before. After traveling all week, it was awesome having a restaurant beside the Holiday Inn. On Monday, I Picked up a Reuben sandwich and it was loaded with meat and really delicious. Excellent sandwich. On Wednesday, came back for a 1/2 soup/sandwich. Talk about DELICIOUS-Monte Cristo with a soup that was off the hook. I would have preferred a lighter batter, but the jam that was on the side was great with the sandwich. Being attached to a hotel has to be the only thing saving this place. Definitely don't order food because the wait staff and kitchen doesn't even know what all is suppose to come with your meal. And be prepared to wait for drink service. read more

My friend ordered a French Dip Sandwich and I ordered a Reuben Sandwich. The french fries and onion rings were fairly good. My Reuben was okay but rather bland with no dressing. However, the French Dip was horrible. It was not edible, with fat and gristle that could not even be cut through, let alone eaten, small portion of meat was dry and obviously old. When we showed the waiter, his comment was What did you expect it is roast beef?, leaving us frustrated with the comment and a bad sandwich. We then called a waitress over and she was appalled at the contents of the sandwich. The waitress offered to get another but we declined the offer and asked for a discount as it was not edible. First they offered 20% off, but after seeing the pile of gristle they did not charge for the sandwich. We are appalled that a cook would serve a sandwich so horrible. We will never return. read more

We were here for dinner as hotel guests. We waited 30 minutes for the waiter to come. He set dirty dishes on our table while he took our drink orders and got snappy and defensive when we remarked on the long wait. We waited another 20 minutes for the drinks to come. We asked if we could order our dinners right away. He asked us to wait while he delivered drinks to another table. He wandered around looking confused and carried drinks and food to tables trying to figure out who ordered what. 4 women walked out after they told us they waited over an hour for an appetizer that never arrived and they got wrong drinks. Waiter also yelled at another couple whose order was incorrect. We asked the hostess to take our order. She did and was very helpful. The salad was wilted nasty greens. The food arrived and the fish and chips had no chips and fish was greasy. We waited another 20 after we asked for the check. We spoke with the asst.manager/bartender. She said everything was a going wrong and she was waiting to hear back from her manager. she said she was new. She validated what we were seeing but really pointed out the overall lack of training of wait and kitchen staff. The bartender and hostess ran their legs off trying to get food out and drink refills and dealing with errors the waiter was making. As a Gold Elite member of IHG it was extremely disappointing. Desk manager was somewhat helpful and offered additional points. That did not offset the dining experience. read more

The islandtini was a wonderfully concocted drink that was shaken without ice! The fried mushrooms were fantastic, but just be sure to cut them in half to let them cool because I burnt the roof of my mouth biting into one. Any of the salmon dishes were pretty fresh and moist. The ribeye was pretty good except there was a pretty significant amount of fat that took away from the meat. The roasted pesto potatoes were not as cooked well as I would have liked, but the skin was pretty crisp. The only improvement I would advise is for the menu to have a little more variety, especially because it's the same menu for room service at the Holiday inn. Coconut shrimp would be nice to have on the menu as well as additional sides to choose from like mashed potatoes or soups. Service was pretty good. read more

I have stayed at this hotel twice, was given vouchers for free breakfast both times for Insider Bar and Grill, and yet I have only been to breakfast 1 time with 4 free breakfast vouchers...? Breakfast service and food was bad enough that I won't even go there with free meal vouchers. Tonight I decided to order dinner from there and take it back to my room..big mistake seeing that I paid with my own money for this meal:.i had a long day and didn't feel like going out so I thought I would give dinner a chance..they served my saucy chicken on top of paper, so mixed in with my tiny scoop of rice and tiny chicken breast was some really tasty paper. Holiday Inn isn't the greatest of the great for hotels, but they are a lot better then the restaurant so I am not sure why they want to be associated with them.. read more
