What I have to say after 4 years of training here:…read more The gym has lots of space and members are generally respectful and mind their business -- typically no weird vibes or meatheads here. Staff is typically pretty nice. However, over the last 1-2 years, the gym has become so poorly maintained that it's been severely affecting my training. For instance: 1 - There are probably only handful of 5lb plates in the entire gym. Every time I bench I have to spend a few minutes looking for them -- and once I do, I have to hide them under my bench so others don't take it since they're scarce. It's that bad. They could have purchased extra 5lb plates years ago but never did. 2 - I've had to buy and bring my own 2.5lb plates - adding weight to my gym bag - since there aren't any in the entire gym. 3 - Dumbbells are never properly put away by members or staff. I've had to several spend minutes each day looking around the WHOLE gym for a specific weight -- yes the WHOLE gym, because someone could leave a dumbbell in a weird part of the gym and it would stay there for days (since staff don't seem to put them away during down hours). Sometimes, a super specific dumbbell (like a 22.5 or 27.5) will even be missing completely -- forcing me to use one either too heavy or too light. This makes progressive overload difficult. 4 - The gym has been missing an abduction machine for almost a year. They had one, it broke -- but instead of fixing it, they just got rid of it. 5 - Other machines (typically leg and arm machines) will often be broken and not be fixed for a while. Overall, I'm grateful for what this gym has given me over the years, but I had just enough and decided to switch to a better maintained gym.

Paradise truly has the best machines, and even when it's busy, you can always get your full workout in because there's such a great variety and volume of quality equipment. That alone sets them apart. The environment is friendly, fun, and upbeat, which makes it a place you actually look forward to going to. What I also love is that there's access to trainers for both beginners and more advanced lifters, so no matter where you're at in your fitness journey, you'll feel comfortable and supported here. The owner, Elsa, is incredibly accommodating and clearly takes pride in her business. It's obvious she invests both time and money into making this gym stand out. The layout is well thought out and flows in a way that just makes sense--you can tell a lot of planning went into it. The gym is very well equipped with all the extras you might need to do any workout. She also has more upcoming renovations planned which shows she's committed to keeping the gym fresh and continually improving. I'm excited to see what Elsa has in store. Overall, Paradise Gym stands above the rest. Highly recommend!

Machines and equipment look cool but then the dirtiness and lack of buttoning up items against the walls and electrical conduit make it seem dirty and unfinished. It's like a person who paints a room with a roller but doesn't edge. And then there are the trainers. Don't try to give somebody friendly advice because you've been lifting for 30yrs because they'll get mad at you for talking to other people that you didn't come with. They want those people to pay them for advice and some of them don't deserve it when you overhear them talking to their clients. I won't talk about the bathrooms. They've already been talked about.

Being in the food business and dealing with heavy lifting, I somehow damaged my right shoulder and…read morehad been dealing with debilitating pain for over 3 months. Tried just about everything to make it better, but nothing seemed to work. When I saw that Dr. Justin was hosting a shoulder workshop, I decided to attend. The workshop was extremely informative, and it gave me enough confidence to schedule an evaluation with him. From the first few minutes of our physical therapy session, I felt like Dr. Justin was truly listening to me and understood what I was going through. He quickly identified the source of my pain, made an adjustment that reduced my shoulder pain by about 80%, and believed it was muscular related which was a relief. I was amazed. Have gone to PT through my insurance for other issues in the past, and they did not have the knowledge that he has and I did not have a quick recovery with them. He also gave me customized exercises that were tailored specifically to my situation, and I left the session already feeling better. I have been doing the homework exercises since the session and after just one week of consistently doing the exercises, my shoulder pain was completely gone. It had been stiff, was clicking when I moved it, and couldn't move it horizontally. For the first time in months, I feel confident working in my food related work and exercising without pain. I highly recommend Dr. Justin to anyone over 50 dealing with shoulder pain who wants answers, a personalized plan, and real results.

From the moment we approached her, her attitude was rude, cold, and unwelcoming. As my friend and I were walking toward the equipment, my friend asked if I could take a tour of the gym, and she simply responded, "Okay," with no friendliness or customer service. Later, when my friend was trying to help me get a 30-day pass, she asked how I had gotten inside. Keep in mind, there was no one at the front desk when we entered, so there wasn't even an opportunity to check in. Throughout the entire interaction, her attitude remained snobby and dismissive, and there was absolutely no reason for it. What really stood out was watching her interact with men who walked into the gym afterward. Her demeanor completely changed--she smiled, greeted them warmly, and spoke to them in a much friendlier tone. It was obvious that the level of customer service she gave them was very different from how she treated me. She also had me waiting on the couch even though the manager wasn't helping anyone at the time. My friend and I asked the manager about her behavior, and he agreed there was no reason for it and said he would speak with her. No guest should be made to feel unwelcome the moment they walk through the door. A receptionist sets the tone for the entire gym experience, and everyone deserves to be treated with the same respect, professionalism, and courtesy.

**Extremely Disappointed -- Unfair Policies and Poor Customer Service**…read more I rarely leave negative reviews and always try to support local businesses. However, this company has left me no choice. Their policies, fine print, and customer service are simply unfair to the consumer. Even if you read the contract thoroughly, the front desk staff will contradict what's written -- and the company refuses to take accountability for their misinformation. Over the summer, I was traveling frequently, and the rowing machine aggravated my back. Typically, members are allowed to substitute the bike for the treadmill or rower without issue. I've spoken to several people who say they exclusively use the bike and have never had a problem. But on 8/28, I was told I'd need a doctor's note to continue using the bike beyond two weeks. I know my body and my limitations -- I'm not going to pay for a doctor's visit just to be excused from PE like a kindergartner. Especially when that visit costs more than my monthly membership. I asked to cancel immediately. They told me I had just been charged and couldn't be refunded, but I could continue using the facility for the remainder of the month -- and that would be considered my final payment. Then on 9/22, I was charged again. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, they refused to credit me for the extra month. Now I'm stuck paying for a class I can't use. As a business owner myself, I'm appalled by this level of customer service. Policies should protect the customer, not punish them. I strongly urge others to think twice before supporting businesses that treat consumers unfairly and refuse to take responsibility for their own miscommunication.
