Dodge A Bullet B4 Visiting Walked in a cash buyer, and walked out empty handed with a hard inquire on my credit report. Drove almost two hours to Thousand Oaks to take a look at a Jeep I wanted. Got there and everybody was super nice and accommodating. The young lady that started helping me was very nice to start. I was referred to a young man that detailed the cars, that took me on a test drive and had more knowledge on the vehicle then anyone else I came in contact with through my entire visit. But, moving on. I was unable to come to a deal with the business. I had told them I was a CASH BUYER right up front. After I returned to my car about to leave, I got an alert on my phone that I had a HARD inquiry on my credit report. I returned to the inside of the office to ask why, and immediately ran into Johnny who was the head person in charge and who I was dealing with to make the deal. When I asked him directly why I had a hard inquiry on my report, he immediately said to me "we did not pull a credit report on you" and walked out the door as I tried to show him the alert on the Experian App. He was very rude and unconcerned with my question. Paid upfront. Got nothing. The owner himself cussed me out and threatened me when i wanted a refund for services that were paid for upfront and were not performed. I was approached and told they could get me a car "as fast as tomorrow." After I paid, I got days of silence. The only "car" I was sent was literally an online listing I could see myself--except I was told it was "structured" at a higher price than what it was actually listed for. Immediate red flag. No real options, no negotiation, no value added. I ended up going to the dealership myself, handling everything, and didn't save a single dollar. Johnny completely misrepresented what they could deliver, and when I asked for a refund, Marcus (the owner) got on the phone and spoke to me in an aggressive and extremely unprofessional way. Actually cussed me out and threatened me. He also said people who write reviews only go to the internet to b**** They didn't just fail to help--they made the process more complicated and stressful than if I had just done it on my own. Through the Car Gurus Web site, Inside Car Guys made me an online offer of 8.5K for my low-mileage (73K) 2010 Infiniti. So I drive one hour from Santa Clarita to Newbury Park only to see the offer dropped to 6.5. Say what? While there, the car, which is in pristine condition was described back to me as the kind of used up, hi-mileage beater that no one wants anymore. "People want more modern vehicles." So I'm out the door and down the road. During the one -hour trip home, the salesman texted me an offer of 7K, if I would just turn around and drive back to Newbury Park. Nope. I trusted that I would be treated fairly. I invested the last $5,000 I had into a van I was assured was in great condition. That representation did not match reality. After the purchase, I learned the vehicle had a salvage history and had previously been acquired by the dealership for only $500!! At the time it was sold to me, the tires were completely bald !!! something that should never have passed any reasonable inspection before being placed on a lot for sale. Within less than six months, the van has had ongoing mechanical problems every single month, costing me even more money I simply do not have!!! The financial and emotional stress this has caused my family has been overwhelming. I feel extremely disappointed in this dealership . I strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing from this dealership. Please protect yourself !!! And stay away !!! I wish I had.
