We had a significant mouse issue. 3 weeks and 28 well places traps later and the issue was well under control. Horrible business that is filled with shady business practices. I called to cancel my service, but they showed up 6 months later to apply chemicals without my consent and proceeded to charge me for them. Products do not work either. I used them for a year and a half and still had wasps and voles, which is what I signed up for them to get rid of, after each treatment. We were skeptical at first but they came at the right time when we were very frustrated with an ant problem. Zach from the Eden Prairie location came out and we couldn't have been more happy with his exceptional service. Signed up for the quarterly service. After the initial treatment I was told they would take care of ants, bees and mosquitoes. Sales person told me they use a chemical that stops the mosquitoes reproductive system. He said it would not completely get rid of them but would get rid of 90% of them. Had to have them come back after a week because the ant problem got worse. They migrated from the spots of the house they treated to the spots they didn't. The mosquitoes also were not affected at all by the "treatment". The exterminator told me the sales person was completely wrong and they use a lemon based chemical for mosquitoes that deters them. I could have done that myself. Also had to spray wasp nests in my eves that I paid Insight to prevent. Noticed we now have mice in the basement and had to have Insight come back out to treat for them. I managed to kill one of them with my own traps but there hasn't been a single mouse in Insight's traps. Now I have Voles and will not be hiring Insight to take care of them. Next year I will go with a different company or do it myself. read more

Crooks!!! We have a terrible snow storm the day before the technician came out. The entire month was snowing and a lot of snow had accumulated over time where it was over 4 ft tall. Technician still came out and billed me for a bogus service. They stated they treated my home, around the windows and door. When I checked, there was no fresh foot print on my side walk or my property where my windows were. Remember we have over 4 ft of snow on the ground and around all my big windows. I called and they said they'll come out and they never did. So I cancel and now I am stuck with a bill that they never did service. CROOKS!!! read more

When I did talk to someone, she assured me that someone would call within 24 hours because the sales/account phone lines were so busy. It is Wednesday now and no call. Called today and got the same line from whomever answered the phone. I demanded to speak to someone. Was put on hold again. Finally spoke to someone and canceled my services. They assured me that the cancellation would be sent to me by email. I have a bad feeling about this company and their business practices. They tote the line that they are a MN business so that you feel confident about their business practices. Now, I view them as totally untrustworthy. No email confirmation. Never again. I tried adding services to my account (have reoccurring quarterly services), as I wanted to upgrade to include mosquito yard coverage. I have tried calling Insight Pest Solutions at both the local number and 888 number now 6 times. I have been put on hold for over 5 minutes each time, and ended up needing to hang up. I have tried emailing the contact@insightpest.com email they provide now three times asking for someone to respond, with NO RESPONSE. At this point, I am beyond frustrated and trying to figure out how to cancel my account and contact another company. The link to the account page in their email gives you a dead end, but found access on the normal page. Unfortunately, I have never registered my account but it stating that it is already registered. They have NO WAY to look up a username. You can only reset your password if you know your username, so have reached all dead ends. I have emailed AGAIN to cancel my services. In all honesty, the services were great but the inability to get in touch with anyone at all has put me over the edge. :( Was actually looking to add services and am not cancelling my account completely. if there is a zero rating, I will give it a zero. A guy came around our neighborhood and explain the one year service and never explained the prepayment penalty that they will charge if you are not HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE, he basically told me to sign (my bad, I know , but who charge prepayment penalty - especially if their service sucks) the primary reason I avail of their service is for the ants that are going through our patio door and they are still there. I treated the ants with over the counter insect spray and worked better. I was charged $150 prepayment penalty. I hope no one ever sign up for this service. read more

After what I though was putting my account "on hold" I came home to a flier on my door stating that Insight had treated just the outside of my home (since I wasn't there - due to not knowing that they were going to be there bc ?I thought it was on hold? After a 30+ min frustrating call to their customer service I was told that the account was on hold only for the next treatment and that my service would be ongoing without my consent only calling them AGAIN would result in them not continuing my service. I had asked for a refund - which they declined - I then asked for a refund of half since they did not treat the inside of my home - which they said they would talk to a manage and call back. Convenient that they would call during the day and leave a message stating no refund would be granted. My advice is that if you would like to be treated reasonably when an issue arrises to go elsewhere read more

This company cheats and provide no useful services. I have to use mice trap myself as a resolution. I was working on my lawn when a service person named Brandon Bradley approached me with their service in July 2020 . This person misled me into signing the agreement. He did not explain to me that this is a contract and I will be changed almost $1000. He emphasized only that $199 will cover 3 services in one year and is a discount from $500+. It turned out to be all lies. First, it says "this agreement includes a total of ( 3 ) regular services following the initial", which I only have 1 service in July. The initial discount was only $200. I agreed to sign simply because I thought $224.75 for 3 services to give it a try. It is my mistake that I did not read the agreement carefully on the tablet Brandon Bradley provides when I signed the agreement. Once I found out that I was ripped off after I was charged $224.87 for a service in Nov 2020 , I requested them to terminate my service contract, and was charged $300 plus tax for all the liabilities they put in the contract! read more

I signed up yesterday and they were here today as scheduled attacking bugs and other pests. There seem to be more this year which is probably due to weather and moisture. Jimmy and Katie were very knowledgeable and courteous and got right to work informing as they worked as to what was happening. I agree with other reviewers that they did a great job for the price and were willing to go that extra step to make sure the job was done right. Andrew O came to my door and was very thorough. He wasn't pushy and took the time to answer my questions. I purchased and scheduled for the next day. Ralph V. did an extremely thorough job on the application, was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. So far, I've received what I purchased and was impressed with their friendliness and knowledge. I have yet to see how the products work, but time will tell. Tim was a fantastic technician -- super thorough and filled in gaps around some of the pipes leading into the house (that i was not even aware of) where creepy crawlies could get thru. Carpenter ants and wasps where taken care of quickly. Even my box elder bugs where reduced dramatically. This company is new, but it seems to be a premium service. Calling in for a re treatment is easy and quick. Great customer service. They immediately responded and got me taken care of. It took a re treatment for the ants and spiders to really go away, but this company was on top of it and got it all taken care of. From the door to door rep to the technician that I met, I received friendly smiles and informative gestures to make sure I felt most comfortable with my decision to use pest control. read more

DO NOT use Insight Pest Solutions!!!! Buyer beware!!! We just moved into the area, and they came knocking on our door telling us they are "running a special" since our neighborhood was using them. It would cost $99 for 3 treatments over the summer. All we needed to do was sign on the iPAD and we'd be good to go. One week after the first treatment, we still saw ants and spiders. We questioned if what they were spraying was just water? Since it wasn't working. We called them, they came back out and sprayed some more. Nothing changed. We still had ants and spiders. Even new spider webs in places we pointed out to the guy. So we called to cancel service. They said they would look into it and they would cancel the service. We received an email letting us know the cancellation was in process. We thought all was said and done. 6 months goes by, and my husband receives a phone call from them telling him his account was never cancelled, and if we want to cancel now, it will cost a $340 cancellation fee. Not only do they provide a HORRIBLE service, they also have TERRIBLE business practices!!! Do not sign the iPAD!!! One star because I liked the salesperson. From there I'd characterize as the worst company ever. Reluctantly signed up for service. They were 90 minutes late to first appointment and I had to leave the house, so I told them I was done. Called the company and canceled my service. They called later to schedule for next day, I told them I had canceled earlier that day. Then next day someone just showed up at the house to provide service.....I told them I canceled. This was my first review on Google, done around 3 months ago. See below for update: I have called twice asking for a response to bad service. Called again and left a message with one of the phone assistants to inform them of poor service. Phone assistant said they would call back. No call since! On their website they say they will take care of spider webs. When they called me to set up my most resent service, they asked me if there were any bugs or mice that we had a problem with. I specifically told them there were spider nests(webs) in my home and that I wanted someone to take care of them. The tech arrived, he told me they did not have a tool long enough to reach my ceiling height to get the webs or nests and that I had to remove them as my "homework." He then proceed to the exterior where he seemed to find a tool to brush the exterior of my house(higher than my interior ceilings). He was inside my house for a VERY SHORT amount of time. Since then, my spider infestation is everywhere and the centipede issue has increased(along with other nastiness of the depth.) I have found more bugs in my home than ever before. I would highly recommend that if you are looking for a pest removal company to go somewhere else. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!! P.S. The original call was for mice and bugs. I do have to say (as of TODAY) the mice have seemed to move on. P.S. AGAIN! I see I am not the only one with issues in the last month. Within the last month, mind you, 3 months after I canceled my account, they have been calling me to collect a payment for either a service or a cancellation fee. WHAT?!? My husband called the company today, after being hung up on by the first person, he called again and they refused to connect him back to the person he was just on the phone with. So he had to tell his story all over again. That person was no help so the account supervisor, CJ Melvin, was put on the phone. During that conversation, he said that we are still liable for the cancellation fee, regardless of what we were told by the person I spoke to months ago and that horrible service does not justify canceling. He said that we should have tried harder to get the company back out to our home, because apparently me calling MULTIPLE TIMES to do that isn't trying enough. He also said there was no way he could waive the fee. Do Not Give This Company Your Credit Card Info! When you try to cancel, they tell you that you have to talk to an account representative who will be suspiciously too busy but they will suspend your account. You think your account is suspended but they will keep coming out and billing you. I was told my account was stopped but I've never received anything verifying that so I cancelled the number they have for the account. Probably many better options out there so a good company to stay away from. read more

Our first application was scheduled the next day, and Jesse was right on time, courteous and efficient, explained what he was going to do, walked the property and gave us a few suggestions. As I was reading the reviews (unfortunately to late) one person asked if there was anyway of rating them a ZERO. That is exactly how I feel. It is a very good thing that we have completed our one year agreement!!!!! This has been the biggest waste of my money!!!! I never seen much difference in the before and the after. After this recent visit we have just as many ants and box-elder bugs as before. My husband tried for three days trying to get a hold of someone to ask them to come out and take care of the problem. He held forever and eventually left messages that were never returned. When he finally had time enough to stay on hold he held for over 20 minutes only to speak to someone that couldn't do anything to help, we needed to schedule someone to come out and do it again but she could not do that and she would have someone call THAT NIGHT to schedule. I should have known better than to sign up with a company that just showed up at my doorstep without checking them out. Since it seems that the only response you get is from these reviews I am putting it out there that this is my written notice to cancel my account. We had a salesperson show up at our door summer of 2018. He had a one time special of $99.00 to spray our home. He said he had others in the neighborhood joining in. We said ok. Thought we were getting a one time service. He did not say that we were signing a contract for services quarterly as he DID NOT leave us a copy of anything that I signed. Ever since then, the company has been contacting me. One day they left me a voice mail TELLING me when they would be at our house to spray and treat our home. I called and called trying to get to someone to tell them no - they were not going to do that.. I left several messages. When I finally did get someone she told me that they would come when they were in the area and I had no say in when they would come to my house. REALLY???? Long story short. After many calls to the Customer Service person telling them my tale and telling them I did not want their services on a quarterly basis and the whole story of the "contract signing" - today I get a bill emailed to me saying that I owe them $270.00 for cancelling the contract. Are you kidding me? I will not and do not ever plan to use this company!!!!!! I have never been treated like this with any type of services. I have never had this happen to me before in my life. Wasps would leave after service but always came back a week or two later. I called insight pest solutions to cancel. He was very rude, he kept saying that I was under contract. I told him I was also moving this winter up north 3 hour's away from the twin cities and he just kept saying I can't cancel, I should continue my service their. We've had 2 seasonal treatments so far. On both treatments, we've requested a second spray, since the first did not seem to work. The ant problem on the outside of the house has improved. The spider problem on the inside is marginally better. We have not used a pest company in the past, so I'm not sure if these results are normal, nor do I have anything to compare it to. Scheduling was hit or miss - one time nobody showed up and I was told by customer service that my appointment never made it on the technicians schedule. Frusterating. Of the 4 technicians we've had, Mauricio is by far the most through. He spent the most time at the house and explained what product and the reason he used it on each area he treated.
