What a disappointment this place is--and it had such potential. The service doesn't allow you to sign on your tip, you have to tip BEFORE you know how the service is. They also have a pre-programmed $3.50 tip that you have to manually adjust to zero if you want to tip in cash on top of a $2 delivery charge. I understood delivery charges when gas was almost $4 a gallon but I will almost never order from someone with a delivery charge any more. The bad news is that the cookies ARE NOT baked to to order. They are REHEATED which gives them a terrible stale grease flavor. These were some of the WORST COOKIES I have ever had and they advertise baked to order and there's NO way they could have taken my internet order, baked the cookies and gotten them to my house in 11 minutes when I like well-done almost burnt cookies--which I also obviously didn't get.We were so disappointed I can't put it into words. These are NOT your grandma's cookies--your grandmother doesn't make them in a commissary, freeze them and ship them to store before baking and reheating after the dough sits a few days and the shortening goes rancid. These people are selling an inferior product and lying about it being fresh baked. They might be able to get away with it since LSU students probably aren't professionally trained chefs who grew up in the restaurant business and had their own restaurant. However, I am, and that's how I know this is a WAY inferior product. I don't think they're making the dough on premises either because the shortening tasted way too stale for this not to be a prefabricated product. Essentially we are talking about a product NOT QUITE AS GOOD as a 3 day old Otis Spunkmeyer convenience store bake and take and they are baking them off in advance and reheating them and passing them off as fresh baked. I throw the bullshit flag on this place. Get a bag of Oreos, they're just as good and a lot cheaper--or go to Ambrosia Bakery and get some GOOD cookies--way better than these--cheaper too. Their market is drunk and homesick college kids who don't know a good cookie from a bad one after half a keg. Read the "Not Recommended" reviews--they are absolutely correct--yelp shouldn't have pulled them--you should also click "Newest First" at the beginning of the instead of letting Yelp choose the order. Word to the wise, I split the large cookiewich with my brother, and it was still too much for 2 people! After reading several reviews, I feel compelled to add that yes, they're basic cookies. They're nothing to write home about, but they were enjoyable. To be honest, we likely will not order delivery again unless there are multiple people interested in ordering. The superfluous $2 delivery charge seems to be in place to discourage delivery. I could understand if the driver got it, but the business is asking us to pay them for the service. Just don't deliver, then. It's just $2, but when we added in our tax and the tip for our driver, plus the extra $2 charge, we wound up paying 75% of what the base ticket price was in extras. 3 people split those charges, and you'll probably wind up paying $5 or so, a much more manageable and reasonable amount for a couple of delivered cookies, or, if you think you can eat half of the behemoth... er, cookiewich, you're splitting with someone else. read more

I came here with my boyfriend a few days after this business opened. There were a few people in line ahead of us and we took some time to browse the extensive cookie selection. I couldn't decide between a s'mores deluxe cookie or a lemon one, but ended up getting a s'mores cookie (I'll be back soon for the lemon!). My boyfriend got a brownie. The ice cream looked delicious, but we had just eaten dinner and opted to skip the ice cream this time. There was a shift change occurring as we ordered so things were a bit hectic, but we didn't mind waiting to order or waiting for our treats. There was a lot of empty space in the shop and we were excited to see what they would do with it! There is also milk available, and I would really love to see a soy or almond milk option as well as regular coffee on the menu. I'm hoping those things come soon! The past 4 times that I have ordered from them to be delivered to my workplace, they have been at least 45 minutes later than expected and I had to call the company headquarters multiple times to discuss the issues. They then called the bakery and the employees made us seem like the issue. Calling your customers "a hassle, too complicated, disrespectful, and rude" is a perfect way to create a bad reputation. However, when I tried to use the coupon that I had been sent two days ago, it told me that the coupon was not redeemable at my store location. (Why send someone a coupon for something if it's not redeemable at the store in their area? It's ridiculous!) The email that I received said that my cookies would be delivered in the next 30-40 minutes. That was around 8:45 pm. At 10:15 pm, I received a call from Insomniac Cookies telling me that they had run into a snag, the store was shutting down early, and they could still try to deliver my cookies, but the earliest they could get them to me would be around 12:30 am. If a store advertises that it's open until 3 am and that they will deliver until 3 am, why is it that on two occasions in the same week I had to be informed by the corporate office that the store closed down early (at 8:45 pm on Tuesday and at 10:15 pm on Thursday)? Additionally, why did it take an hour and a half for anyone to notify me that my order wouldn't be available until 12:30 am (nearly four hours after I placed it)? While I'm sure their cookies probably taste great, my only two experiences with this company show that they are unreliable. There's no sense in jumping through the hoops of trying to place an order if they aren't going to deliver on time, or at all. My recommendation is to save your money and your time and don't order anything from this company. You're better off buying cookie dough and baking your own. read more
