Do not attempt the delivery service!! I placed an order for my DU student to be delivered. My order showed it was delivered at 10 AM. I asked my student at 4 pm if she had gotten her package and she had not. I called the store and they told me that they tried to deliver but no one was there and they didn't have a phone number. My number and email was on the order so that was incorrect. And I don't know why the order tracking showed delivered!! They assured me they would send them out ASAP and I gave them my students number. She never did get the cookies or a call. This service is a joke. read more

Insomnia Cookies is somewhat new to the DU campus and it seems the Denver locals just can't get enough of them. Or at least I can't, that is. These cookies are always fresh right out of the oven and never lack flavor. The variety of cookies makes sure that no man is feeling left out. The sugar cookie is my personal favorite and for sure can be called my "go to" at this point. In fact I'll even let you in on a secret. My two $25 gift cards were used up in under three weeks. How's that for spending wisely! The only problem with Insomnia is the absurd price of milk but luckily the water fountain inside can quench any buds in need of hydration. While hanging with a couple of friends last night we all wanted something sweet. Recently trying crumble cookies before and not being the biggest fans we decided we should try a place that people have also been crazy over. We drove across town to get here and once we got inside and figured out what we all wanted, we ordered. The lady who was taking our order was quite rude as we said we would wait for a specific batch to be done, but maybe it was a busy night so we brushed it off. We waited for about 25 minutes so not a big deal. My friend did point out that the workers did not seem too pleased that we were waiting for the next batch. I figured it was fine considering we were there at 9pm and the place closes at 3am. We got our cookies and checked the box because it did look quite small for 5 cookies also just because of the service. There were only 4 cookies in the box. Amongst all of our receipts we found out the one it was and I went to the counter. I said oh excuse me? Which I and my friends thought was clearly loud enough, but the same girl that got our orders for us ignored me. I went directly in front of her and said we're missing this cookie and with a pissed look she got it and we left right away. The peanut butter cup cookie was very good, however my two friends got the deluxe triple chip and they loved it as well! Except both of them had stomach issues later that night. I come here often with my boyfriend so I'm a little confused about the costumer service we received today around 4:45- 4:50pm by whom I presume was the manager (I over heard her talking to the customers before us about her employees, who she was actually very polite to might I add) I could tell she was a little flustered because of a large order she just received but that's here nor there. She never greeted us until we got to the counter and she barely did that, the whole time she was short with us and we were nothing but nice to her. Went last night with some buddies, and we were extremely disappointed to say the least. Paid $6.50 for their basic cookie sandwich--a scoop of ice cream and two cookies. Basic quality, nothing special. You could go to a grocery store and make some yourself for cheaper and just as good, if not better, quality. Their deluxe cookie sandwich will run you over $8.50--it's just a bigger cookie size with a little extra ice cream. The layout of the place is pretty awkward also, just a table for standing behind the line and an empty square space to the side. No music too, which was surprising. Insomnia has no vibe at all. Employees were very courteous, however, so shout out to them! All in all, go fill your sweet tooth craving somewhere else, and save your money while you're at it. UPDATE: Returned to Insomnia to give it a second chance. It faired a little better. Ice cream sandwich tasted a bit better and was actually prepared for me this time, however the prices are still a huge turnoff. My daughter and I went to Insomnia Cookies yesterday late afternoon for the first time and had a very nice experience. Overall, the place is very user friendly. I was able to park right in front in the small parking lot. The bathroom was clean and not locked down like so many other places are doing now due to the virus. They even had the water fountain working. I also liked that they didn't engage in tip begging. I didn't see a tip jar nor did the credit card machine ask me to leave a tip. The lady working was pleasant and polite. The cookies were a good size and at $1.75/cookie for a warm delicious, I felt like it was fairly priced, unlike Mrs. Field's. Tried to order here twice: 1st time - They messed up our order and shorted us. I tried to call, and since there is no direct line, just a call center, it was a hassle to get it fixed. Was offered a coupon for 4 free cookies with a future order which was acceptable. This was on July 20th. 2nd time - August 13th - attempt to order online and use the coupon we got less than a month ago. The website says the coupon has expired though it says in the email we have 150 days to use it. Call the hotline - first person says they will send another via email. You can pick the ice cream you want and two cookie flavors. You can pick the same two, or mix and match.
