Triple chunk cookie with rocky road ice cream
    Ceivy M.

The cookie was a bit hard, but we did go there on a Monday night. Would have been better if they had warmed it up before scooping the ice cream on it. It got very stale under the cold ice cream. They use Blue Bell ice cream! Obviously a win. The cookie/ice cream was a tad too sweet and I couldn't finish it but we can always blame that on my old age.

    Double chocolate chunk cookies

Delicious cookies! We stopped by for dessert last night, and I was not disappointed. I ordered a double chocolate chunk cookie and loved it. It was served warm & fresh. The outside was perfectly crispy, the inside was soft, and there were a good amount of chocolate chunks. My boyfriend ordered the same thing and enjoyed it as well. Compared to cookies at Tiff's Treats, I would say these are thinner with a bit more crispiness. If I had to choose I'd say that I still prefer Tiff's Treats, but this place comes pretty close. I should probably try some of their other items before making a final decision. Each cookie was $1.75, and 6 cookies were $10. This place definitely isn't cheap, especially compared to buying cookies at the grocery store or somewhere like that. If you're having a late night cookie craving or want to order some for a friend (& don't mind the extra charge), Insomnia Cookies is a great option!

Deluxe peanut butter cup and deluxe oatmeal chocolate chip walnut cookies

So if you know me, you know my two favorite foods are pizza and all things chocolate. I have a major sweet tooth that will probably come back to haunt me when I'm a bit older, but for now I love to indulge, and boy are these cookies an indulgence. The peanut butter cup deluxe, triple chocolate chunk, s'mores, and oatmeal chocolate chip walnut cookies are are soooo decadent. If you want an instant brain orgasm, then I highly recommend these cookies. This place is open late so it's a nice way to end the night and hate yourself in the morning. The only reason why it loses a star is because every time I visit, I'm always having to wait 15 minutes for cookies to come out of the oven. And when they do, you have to let them cool off substantially or else you're left with a pile of warm sweet mush if you try to eat them. So what should have been instant gratification turns into a 20-30 minute wait when you add it all up. Still though, these are probably the best cookies in town. Go ahead, change my mind.

I visited this place a few months ago and it was ok for what its worth. After coming here again recently, i decided I wouldn't come back. After surgery i told my friend i wanted ice cream, and they pulled into the parking lot with insomnia cookies to treat me, but I couldn't do it. The cookies are warmed before turning them into cookiewiches, but its far too rich for me. I can only handle a few bites before I'm maxed out on the sweet factor of it. They're very expensive too, just not worth the $6-9 per cookiewich. Same with the calories. Cool concept and i was very excited to try it out, but after two times, the novelty factor has worn off. In fact, i wish i would have tried Fahrenheit 32 next door.

Pretty darn good cookies. Like you'd make at home. Great given you can get them in middle of the night.

Over-priced decent cookies. They weren't anything amazing that you can't make at home.

When I arrived in El Paso, I had to look for dry ice. Now by the time I was able to get out of my hotel room to hunt around town, there were only a handful of stores open. I thought to myself, "No problem, Walmart will have it." It turns out that was not the case. They used to have it, say, 10 years ago, but that is no longer the case here in El Paso. So then I went to Sam's Club, Costco, Walgreens, CVS, Coldstone, Baskin Robbins, and a few other places through a google search without much luck. I even tried a find on google that took me 30 min outside of El Paso (pretty sure at that point I was in Juarez) to a place with an unlit road and an abandoned warehouse. There were cars outside parked with people in them but with the lights turned off. There was no dry ice there. Anyways, back to the review. Big Boy Concessions is probably the only place you'll find dry ice here in town. Luckily they have a lot of it. They also sell all the supplies people are looking for if they had an ice cream truck or trolley. They have party supplies as well including cotton candy that you can buy in bulk. The dry ice is kept in a big maroon bin that are generally hacked into smaller pieces but occasionally you will have the opportunity yourself to use the hammer and chisel to get additional pieces. From what I can tell, they constantly get additional shipments of dry ice so you can be sure that it'll be in stock for your dry ice needs! They are open through the weekend but on most days they close at 5pm. Parking is challenging but you won't be there that long. Nothing to write home about the inside as it is like a small makeshift distribution center for food supplies. Enjoyed greeting these folks every morning. Until next time!
