Then... an advertisement popped up that today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie day and Insomnia had a BOGO deal on their chocolate chunk cookies. I stopped in and there were 2 sweet workers. Visited the store around 11.15pm on Sunday 2/22/26. The two employees (Caucasian female & black male) were the absolute sweetest. Both offered a stellar customer experience and the male encouraged me more than I'm sure he realized. However, the peanut butter cup deluxe cookie here is Fire!! It has peanut butter cups topped on the cookie and it's seriously peanut butter heaven. Insomnia cookies are really great for satisfying your late night sweet tooth cravings. I love that the cookies are warm and gooey. I also love how friendly the staff is and how quick the service is. My sister has been raving about insomnia cookies. I decided we had to go while I was visiting. This house turned business can be missed if your not paying attention. I had to turn around. Also there is free parking on the street where you can find it. Baxter Ave is quite busy so...Good Luck! Lol! We parked a half a block away and walked up. Great signs but the business is sitting back off the street so not easy to locate if you have never been. The guy working was busy. There were a few people in front of us. We've been to a few cookie placed so we were looking to compare. They were out of many and some had a 5 to 10 minute wait til out the oven. We were on a time table so couldn't wait. We got chocolate chip, double chocolate chip and classic with M&M. I wanted to try s'mores but all out. For the price and size in comparison to other cookie places, not worth it to me. Others are bigger or thicker. The cookies were room temp not warm. I am used to getting warmed cookies. I know I know. You can judge. Lol! The taste was good but I wouldn't run back for them. After being traumatized by the musicals CATS, I suggested a guilty pleasure dessert option on the way home. Insomnia Cookies is nestled between restaurants and bars in the Highlands, and we had no issue finding street parking. A skeleton crew was working to bake warm gooey cookies. The building smelled delish! We ordered two combos, one with regular cookies and one deluxe. Both came with drinks and we opted for milk. The deluxe cookies are insane! The chocolate chip is full of chocolate, which actually is a bit much for me but I loved the snickerdoodle. Also available are mini cookies, cookie butter dips, ice cream, ice cream sandwich cookies, and party cookies in various sizes. Some limited seating inside but most people grab and go. Insomnia cookies is a late nights and delivery cookie company that has awesome tasting cookies and ice cream treats. Thai particular location is a newer location in the popular highlands neighborhood on Baxter ave. Perfectly situated next and in between several popular highlands bars I can imagine this place will do well for people with the late night munchies. I had previously been to the insomnia cookie location by uofl campus and while I did enjoy the cookies it was very small and had slower service. This is a much larger location and the workers were very prompt and fast. On this trip I personally got a Cookiewich (Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie with Rocky road ice cream) that was phenomenal. My second oldest who was celebrating her birthday got a Deluxe Cookiewich (Peanut Butter Chip Cookie with cookies and cream ice cream) and it was massive. Bigger then her head. She was a happy birthday girl! My wife got a pecan ice cream, oldest daughter got a box of assorted cookies that we snacked on for a few days and my second youngest got chocolate ice Cream. Like our previous trip to the other Louisville location insomnia cookies is very tasty. Everything we ate had been good. Overall we enjoy the entire concept and setup fo insomnia cookies. A late night delivery cookie and ice cream place is brilliant. They are a bit pricey but still very good and worth a trip on special occasions (this case my daughters birthday) or drunken nights. I do enjoy Thai location though as it is larger and closer to my house. So I'll probably visit This location again before I would the one by uofl campus. read more

We've been a couple times and it's perfect to satisfy the cookie and ice cream cravings although I'm not convinced it's worth the price. Each time I've ended up with a cookie and a scoop of ice cream. This past visit, I opted for a sugar cookie with the purple Sweet Dream ice cream.m which had cookie chunks, fudge swirls, and white chocolate stars. Pretty sure it's seasonal, which is a huge bummer because I'd go back just for that ice cream. Anyway, the cookie isn't anything to write home about and as I said it's not worth the price. I can make cookies within the time it would take for them to deliver. If you're in the area and wanting to pick up some cookies and ice cream, I say go for it. If you're ordering delivery, bake your own cookies, they'll probably be just as good if not better. read more

I absolutely love Insomnia Cookies! I'm so glad they opened a second location in Louisville. This one is right in between O'Shea's and Baxter's. All their cookies are amazing!! Some of my favorites are the s'mores deluxe, snickerdoodle and peanut butter. They also have ice cream and will make ice cream sandwiches. One of their newer items is their lil' dipper. It's a box of 12 mini chocolate chip cookies with icing or cookie butter to dip them in. I loved this! The staff was super helpful and friendly! read more

The cookies are fine if you drop by and pick them up, but I don't recommend delivery. $25 for 6 cookies and it took 1 hr 45 min for them to arrive, and I live just down the street. My own fault for being lazy, I guess, but the delivery times are unacceptable. My favorite is the mint chocolate. read more

Hidden away on Bardstown Road next to a few of the bars is insomnia cookie. Whenever you have a hankering for your sweet tooth, insomnia cookies, a great place to go. The cookies are always warm and delightful and you can always get them with a cool scoop of ice cream. I'm a big fan of the confetti deluxe. It's delicious. I've ordered from Inspmnia twice, and both times delivery driver failed to ring the bell, despite my instructions on the website to bring the bell, and despite a large sign on my door. My receipt from insomnia had the instructions written on there to ring the bell, and it was highlighted; nonetheless, the bell was not rung and the cookie box was simply dumped on my front stoop right by a bus stop . I called the Highlands Insomnia store and spoke with an extremely rude woman who denied responsibility as to the delivery portion. But most enfuriatibg was that she would not listen to me and kept talking over me everytime I spoke. I am a former attorney, and guarantee that insomnia is responsible to its customers for the delivery. First of all the customer. pays INSOMNIA DIRECTLY for the delivery, INSOMNIA does not DENY RESPONSIBILITY in ENLARGED LETTERS ON HIS WEBSITE, AND INSOMNIA DOES NOT give you a choice as to delivery service. I then realized that I was being charged twice for the cookies and delivery! When I spoke to the woman, she said she was the only one there, which makes me wonder if this was intentional.
