Much appreciated! This review is actually for the Service Department. I'm on my 3rd lease from this place and my lease comes with 2 free oil changes. I used the first one and at the time, I asked the clerk to confirm the date by which I needed to get the 2nd. She said as long as I come before end of year, it should be fine. So I made an appointment and again explained the situation to the man who made the appointment and he said yes, they should honor it. My husband took the car today to the appointment because I'm at home with our sick baby and the man at the dealer said no, they will not honor it and he would be charged $100. My husband left and called me, I called the dealer and the man I spoke to refused to help. He said my husband could pay or I can try the service manager who isn't in until Monday. Now, I live a good 40 minutes from this place, the only reason I've gone back to purchase or lease again and again has been because of the customer service. Well, I guess this guy doesn't care that I will never give this dealership my business again.

My service advisor was Daniel Ferencak, and the technician was Nick Leduc. When I was driving home, I noticed a burning smell coming through the vents. By the time I got home, smoke was coming from under the hood. When I opened it, I found oil spilled all over the area around the filter and across the skid plate, creating a strong, foul‑smelling mess. This wasn't a small oversight -- it was a safety issue. I called the service department right away and, as usual, was put on hold for a long time. I opted for a call‑back, but instead of anyone from service, I got their outsourced call‑back service. When I asked to be transferred, I was put on hold again. The only person who actually helped was George in Parts, who physically walked over to service and told them to call me. (I only spoke to George because I chose Parts in the department options on the main line. He answered right away, something that never happens in the service department.) When service finally called me, I got the standard script: "That is completely unacceptable! Customer satisfaction is our top priority!" While on the phone, I walked around my vehicle and discovered the technician had left the wheel lock attached to my lug nut. Another careless mistake. Because it was close to closing time, they asked me to bring the car back the next day. I told them I had to work. I asked about Saturday and was told no -- they "only have one team" then. And that was it. No follow‑up. No appointment. No offer to fix the mess they created. Nothing. I ended up googling how to clean the oil mess up and went to the auto parts store and purchased what I needed to clean it up the best I could. The burning smell and smoke finally went away after a week of driving. My takeaway? If you're stuck using this service department because of a contract, do not leave the lot without checking their work yourself. Pop the hood. Look for tools left behind. Check for leaks. Walk around the vehicle. Start it and wait to see if anything smokes or smells. Because clearly, they won't catch or care about their own mistakes. This appointment was a terrible experience, and Gerald Subaru absolutely lived up to the stereotype of dealerships that say all the right things, but don't actually care AT ALL about their customers.

They claim to have done a smoke test and determined it was a bad filler into the tank, parts were scarce and come pick up the van while they wait for the part. This so far was going to cost me $980 so far. I drove the van for two months, making occasional calls to Paul in service dept to check on ordered part. He either wasn't in, he'd call back but never did or just plain ignored me. After 3 months of silence from them, I found a shop to look at the van. Turned out to be a bad seal and filler was fine. Total cost came to $350.00. I have never had such an unpleasant experience with a service department like this one at Bettenhausen. I'll never step foot in any of their dealerships again. Including when I'm ready to purchase a new $85,000 mobility van in around 8 months. I'll give my money to MobilityWorks. You blew it Bettenhausen!!

After our attorney contacted the owner of Gerald Hyundai, we were suddenly told that an allegedly independent outside technician inspected our vehicle and determined that it now needs another new transmission. This makes no sense. Our vehicle had already spent 10 months at the dealership, and we only had it back for one day after they claimed the transmission had been replaced. Now we're being told it needs yet another transmission? It raises serious questions about what was actually done to the vehicle. Our experience has been extremely frustrating from start to finish. We received inconsistent information, poor communication, and no confidence that our vehicle was safe to drive. The most concerning part was when General Manager Mike Chino told my husband he could not state that the vehicle was safe. Looking back, that statement speaks for itself. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Gerald Hyundai's sales or service departments. If you're considering buying a vehicle or having yours serviced there, I would strongly encourage you to do your research before making that decision.

I send an inquiry online and was contacted by Frank C. of Orland Park Porsche in IL (frank@porscheop.com) immediately the next morning. There were no photos on the Porsche website due to the car being just received into their inventory. He emailed me photos right away and told me that the vehicle was in extremely mint condition. I advised him that I was also looking at a few GTS locally in GA and that I just wanted to be up front with me. He stated that he understood. Later on the same day he sent me some very good videos of the vehicle inside and out. The car looked to be in mint condition. He told me to take my time and not jump into any quick decisions as I should at least consider his GTS. I went to my local Porsche dealership and looked at 2 vehicles later that afternoon as I wanted to purchase a vehicle locally vs out of state. Conditions of both vehicles were not in the best condition. The interiors were very dirty as the leather looked to be in not the best condition. There were empty coke cans left inside and just extremely dirty inside. Exterior was worse with chipped paint and paint marks into the metal. I was very turned off by the vehicles. I went home later that night and contacted Frank and told him that I did not make a purchase due to the conditions of the vehicle. He advised me his vehicle was in super mint condition and that I wouldn't regret it. I looked over his videos again and decided to give Frank a chance. I never purchased a vehicle from out of state and definitely never bought a car prior to seeing it in person and test driving it, so I was a-little scared. But I put my trust and faith in Frank in hoping I wasn't miss lead. Next morning, it sent me even more detailed photos under bright lights if the exterior and interior. The vehicle looked brand new in the photos. I went ahead and told him, let's sign the paperwork. I was able to e-sign everything and he made the entire process simple and delight. Frank was so nice that he was able to include some extra accessories that made me even more happy. After everything was cleared, he arranged for my vehicle to be shipped to my doorstep in GA. I was considering driving up to IL but decided that it would be better to just have it shipped due to my work schedule and time. Frank updated me throughout the day in what was going on and still send me stunning photos of the car with a red bow after it was detailed. Frank was surprisingly deliver my car within 24 hours of me signing the paperwork. The transport driver was super nice and was awesome as well. The GTS looked better in person than the videos/photos he gave me. The car was delivered in pristine condition just like Frank said it was. He had my temporary tag already on the rear and even provided a super nice surprise inside the trunk. I was so happy with the car that I was jumping for joy. I think I was even more amazed and delighted at the customer service of Frank who made this vehicle purchase one of the best ever. I was shocked on how easy and delightful the out of stage buying process with Frank of Orland Park Porsche was. Frank was the most helpful and courteous dealer sales associate I have ever met. I have never seen anybody go out of their way for a customer before. His customer service skills are top notch. I never got the sense of the typical Porsche dealership treatment as he treated me like I was a family member. After this wonderful experience, I will definitely be buying my next Porsche from him. I have already referred all my family/friends to him because on how wonderful he was.
