Well I'm not impressed. The star I will give is 1. They accommodate me since I had a very small window for the service 2. The lady was very well mannered But even though people were very nice she didn't knew what she was doing at all. I know hair textures can be different but I have Indian hair and I don't think she had idea of how to handle it. I went for a shampoo blow dry. I wanted almost straight with a little flip at the end. But what I got was totally unmanageable huge bunch of wavy hair. I was so disappointed. I do better hair set up than her. Also I was told that it will be done in half hour but it took 45 mins. All in all not a good first impression. May be it worked for others. They seemed very nice people 4/18- update So after the mess last time I really appreciate the manager taking time to call me and offer me a free fix for my hair. I went in today and Shana was great. I brought my GF here to have her hair done based on a recommendation. We had an appointment with Libby and she was amazing. She and my GF hit it off (lots in common) but more importantly her hair came out great! We both loved it. The place is the Stop n Shop plaza in my town and I have driven by it 1,000 times probably and never gave it a 2nd thought. I was amazed how big it is once inside because from the outside it appears to be a tiny shop. It was also tastefully and nicely decorated - I really couldn't believe this gorgeous salon / spa has been hidden here all this time and we never knew. I had the worst haircut of my life at this salon on top of further damaging my hair with foils. Stylist asked if I wanted my bangs layered and proceeded to cut them to an absurdly short length so now they just stick out in different directions. It's going to take months to grow out. This place is definitely a hidden gem. Located in the corner of the Stop and Shop plaza it's something need to know about to find. However, this is the best place I've ever been too. They really go above and beyond for their customers. So far I've only had my hair done there but they were able to squeeze me in super last minute and did an AMAZING job. The atmosphere is positive, high energy, friendly woman who truly care about your experience. I've had trouble finding a good hair stylist for awhile because I never feel as though the price is worth it, but I don't mind paying an extra buck here. Completely worth it. read more

Okay so here is how my story started and how the staff there made me feel better and calm down. So had a big job interview and needed to get a hair cut to clean up the bangs and dead ends. So a simple light trim nothing fancy or difficult only an inch maybe 2 off the length. Went to some place else in Vernon where they cut off all my freaking hair, put in super choppy layers, and did an overall horrible job. I was in tears, overwhelmed with pure anger, and negative emotions. My hair was original a few inches above my waist and the end result was above my shoulders. Always loved my hair long and for ever planned to keep it that way so when they did that I was beyond upset. My hair looked like it belonged to a boy from the 70's mixed with a 50 something old soccer mom with a mini van. I asked my best friend in the whole world what the heck to do about it and she suggested this place. She told me to walk in and ask them for help / advice on how to possible fix it. The moment I walked in they were super sweet, listened to me about what happened, calmed me down, talked straight to me about options, and did it all in best interest of me. They didn't push for me to buy/pay for services or anything. Just treated me with understanding and wanted to make me feel better. I am only giving this 1 star because I could not give it a 0. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service that I received -- or I should say --"lack of service that I received". I had an appointment for a color and blow dry and waited for almost 1 hour for service which never took place. I ended up walking out of the salon very irate. No apologies were offered, and there was no follow up call either. Totally unprofessional! Needless to say, they have lost me as a client. read more
