He will make sure you have an excellent experience. All of the nail technicians are friendly and kind (only chatty if you want them to be). They always have something on the flatscreen TV but it is quiet enough to have a conversation. I typically get a gel manicure and sometimes get a pedicure or other services. As a male, I don't get pedicures often. Had one a couple of months ago and now this one. My experience at Classic Nail & Spa was so much more superior to my last one, huge difference. Going to start with my most recent experience. I showed an inspiration photo of squiggle lines in various colors on all fingers . I was told a specific technician would be able to achieve it. After getting the nail prepped and the actual design started, I realized this was not going to go well. I had to ask the person to thicken the lines because some fingers had thick ,defined lines while others did not...this was not a stylistic choice but appears to be due to lack of skill. As we neared the end I could tell that I wasn't happy but I always feel rushed to pay and leave. I actually turned around and went back to explain that I wasn't happy with my service and it felt as though the staff were purposely acting dense. After three or so minutes of them pretending they didn't see the issues such as where the colors bleed into another, the weird thin lines on some fingers and thick lines on others, and the random paint that accidentally got put on near the actually intended design, they gave me $20 and explained that I could come back to get it repainted. I wanted to stress to them that it's unfair to clientele to let them believe they are getting one design but then leaving with a sub par version of what they requested. It's sneaky and underhanded. I love getting my nails done. I work hard and am happy to pay for the service and tip well. But it doesn't feel good when people don't do good work and want you to take the bare minimum. I also must stress that I had my nails done at this place 3 weeks ago and experienced issues ...these were more so with the actual application and prep work for the gel nail(Different technician) .She also cut me and it hurt so badly I had to keep reminding her to be careful of the cut for the rest of the service. Some nails were misshaped, the line work on the French tip was not opaque and it overall looked wonky and had bubbles on some nails. The worker tried to quickly repair it and cited bad lighting for the issues but it wasn't suitable and I had to go back 5 days later to have the issues properly addressed. I have gone to this nail salon for years and they may not even know it but they've done my nails for so many important events and I've never been unsatisfied until these last few weeks ,which is so disappointing. Not sure I'm even going to bother getting my nails fixed...I think I may need to find another salon. Also important note: it's not about the nails being pretty or not, it's about the consistency,quality ,and workmanship. read more

My first few times were amazing. However I feel my nails haven't been the greatest. I like consistency and the last few times have been off. What really brought me to write this was my nails 3 days in already looked overgrown meaning my whole nail wasn't painted and a space was left right before my cuticles. I didn't want to complain I just wanted to leave. Also many times I have to ask to clean dirt spots underneath my nails or clean up paint left on my skin. I always do French. The lines sometimes looks uneven and not straight.! Even worse it's sometimes done a few times leaving it a thick uneven line and you can see each time it was painted. It should be one even consistent line. The work truly shows a day or two later not immediately after. The entire nail should be painted, dirt underneath the nail should be cleaned an excess paint should be removed from the skin.I don't believe I'm asking for much besides what's to be expected from a normal manicure. My nail tech is very nice and will gladly fix what I don't like but how do I tell him all of the above without causing a problem and having it all done again. read more

The place seems clean and they have two cute little dogs running around. I've had my nails done here twice (with the same woman, Linda) and she really doesn't do a good job. I usually get the shellac. She doesn't polish the base of the nail, therefore it looks like my manicure is several days old and growing out. See pic. Also the polish is thin at the base and gets clumpy at the bottom. Someone else I was with had her nails done by Jenny and they looked really good. So it looks like the quality varies depending on which technician does your nails. Another thing that annoyed me was the constant speaking in their language and laughing. I randomly stopped by here with a friend on Good Friday. The place was pretty crowded, and the receptionist asked if we could come back. We said no and that we would just go to a different salon. Miraculously they fit us in right away (this seemed to be the case for everyone). I got a gel manicure. The color selection was decent. The technician seemed to do a good job with my nails, though she wasn't very personable. Whatever. Not even a week later, my gel mani began chipping! I've been to numerous salons and typically these manicures last a solid 2+ weeks. Not sure if it's the gel or the technique they use but I'm not at all impressed. My mom and I have been going to Classic Nail Spa since they opened... 10? Years ago. I have lived in 2 major cities and had my nails done hundreds of times by different businesses. This nail salon is nicer than most, its been around for like 2 years and its holding up well--it looks nicer inside than all of the salons at the mall. Very attractive interior and plenty of pedicure chairs. We went yesterday for pedicures, walk-in style, no appointment and they made room for us in about 10 minutes--appreciate it. They accept credit cards for bills over $15 but make sure to bring cash for a tip. Pedicure was $30--on par with the local market. The have a lot of OPI nail polishes for sale, but their color selection is pretty average-I had a hard time picking a color. I debated giving this salon 4 stars since there wasn't anything truly *exceptional* despite a clean, high quality experience...then I remembered their canine ambassador and was swayed to give them five stars after all! My friend and I came for manicures, because our favorite (slightly cheaper) place in Vernon is closed on Sundays. So props to Classic for having more convenient hours! The salon is very clean and nicely decorated, giving it a spacious and relaxing ambiance. The staff were congenial and efficient, and they put up with my waffling over color. I really wanted to do an accent ring finger with two-tone chevron design, and to her credit, one manicurist offered to try it on her own finger to see if she could do it, but I declined because it just wasn't worth all that effort (blame pinterest for artificially inflating my manicure expectations). They do a nice little shoulder rub while your manicure is curing as well as a hot stone rub too. Still, my favorite part is the cute little poodle that hangs out at the salon. He even has a little bed behind the counter, and when not greeting customers, curls right up under his little blanket and snoozes. Don't forget to bring cash for the tip, or if you're really smart, for the whole enchilada--they discount 5% if you pay in cash! read more

I go here often for a pedicure and the occasional manicure. I find it very comfortable. The salon offers a plethora of nail shades. They also offer various pedicures as well as manicures that can be gel. If you pay in cash it's $30 for a pedicure which includes a scrub, warm towels, hot stones. THE WORST SERVICE EVER. I went in for a full set of powder dip. I asked for long nails because that's what I always get. She proceded with a heavy sigh and saying "oh my god" like if it was a burden. She did a terrible job with the powder. There are spots where the powder didn't cover my nail. It already looks like I need a fill!!!!! The shape is horrendous. Every nail is a different shape and she didn't measure to see if all the nails were the same length so they are all VERY different. This was the worst experience ever. And THEN, she charged me 90 DOLLARS. For nails that looked like absolute SHIT. This is the worst nail salon I have EVER been to. I attached the pictures of EVERY SINGLE FINGER with the same finger of the other hand so you can see how different and TERRIBLE they are. This is just insane. read more

This place has very neat interior decorations. Once you walk in, you will realize you've picked a right place for relaxation. They also give you a very nice back massage as you dry your nails. I've been to this place twice. Once it was super busy. But they were still very nice and friendly. Once thing i disliked from this visit was the pedicure performance. I had such a rough day, so wanted to relax and get my feet rubbed. I asked for one of their spa pedicures, expecting the massage would be longer than regular pedicures. I understand it was busy day for them, and there were customers kept coming in. But my massage was shorter than the customers next to me. (They were getting regular pedicures) My next visit was very pleasant. I went there for gel manicure. The young lady who performed the service was very thorough and friendly. I was very pleased. So I wish I could remember the name of my technician. I had never gotten a gel manicure before and this was my first. Since then I've been to 4 other salons for gel mani. This one is the best. The tech I had sits right up front, where Susan's doggy sits. She cleaned the nail so well, really got rid of all the cuticles on the sides on the nail, which most technicians miss. Then she was careful at applying every layer. Most techs don't realize the clear polish at the end needs to be done smoothly too, in fact probably most important layer. Sera does the best job! All the technicians here are so nice and accommodating! They can do it all and no matter who you see, they are attentive and do a perfect job. I find that my nails look the most nay when I have them done here. I switch between uv gel and regular gel. Both are nice and thin for a natural look but sturdy enough to survive a couple of weeks. I also love that they always have movies playing. I don't have time to watch a movie any other way, so this feels like a real indulgence! read more

One of the most frustrating manicures ever. Never been here before so I thought I would try it out. The guy moved so so slow and barely cleaned my hangnails etc. that were so obvious. It's winter, so everyone's nails need extra attention. I have NEVER paid $15 for Regular manicure. No french, no extra services .... nothing but a regular manicure. They had their two pet dogs in the salon too. I know that is a health violation. I will never be back and wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

My best friends 7 year old daughter did a better job on my nails. I wonder if the guy had ever attempted a pedicure before. Wet my feet and started to remove polish, scraping w his nail. I told him he was hurting me with his nail. Then did not fully remove polish. Wiped my feet with the exfoliator. I thought I was being punked. Cut straight accross and NO filing. He grabbed the polish and I finally said I'm done. He was not ready to polish! He hadn't filed!! A lady said she would finish but too late. I went w my gut. TERRIBLE. DONT GO. NOT TO MENTION NO A/C!! Would not go here again. While the prices are average ($60 for a shellac manicure and pedicure) the staff was not very personable and the nail color literally peeled off my nails in less than a week. (I've had shellac stay for over 2 weeks every other time I've had it done at other locations).
