I have had one manicure and one pedicure (2 separate visits). Both services were great. The nail techs were both very kind and made sure things were how I wanted before proceeding. I got a regular polish pedicure for a trip 2+ weeks ago and they still look great. I got gel on my fingers and none of them have started to peel off like they did when I went to my precious nail salon. And the best part is how great of a massage they give your legs / hands when you get a service. I felt so pampered and it was worth every penny!! My old place would slap a hot towel on me for legitimately 15 seconds but here I get to enjoy the experience. And friendly reminder to bring cash to tip with when you can. Always preferred over tip on the card for folks working in the service industry :)

I won't let anybody touch my hair besides the people at Hairport. The rates are more than reasonable ($22 a cut), you are never rushed, and when you are there they make you feel right at home. The moment I enter the door I am greeted by name by every employee that I encounter. Moreover, the employeees are able to personalize their business by remembering my hair needs. For instance they know that I need volume at the crown of my head and specific layering of the hair. The best part is that I don't have to feel like a broken record everytime I get my haircut so I can actually enjoy my experience at the salon knowing that I am in good hands.

I scheduled a gel manicure and gel pedicure and paid a total deposit of $61.40. Upon arrival, the owner, Yvonne, was occupied with a hair client. The nail technician was called from the back and had to gather all of the supplies for my appointment after I arrived. Nothing appeared to be prepared in advance. The pedicure station raised several concerns. The foot basin did not have a disposable liner, the chair controls were not working properly, and the remote was sticky to the touch. The nail technician appeared to have only an old nail file and a small cuticle tool for the service. The most troubling part of the appointment was the removal of my existing polish. Instead of using polish remover, the technician attempted to remove the polish by filing it off with a nail file. This was painful, and when I asked whether she had polish remover, she stated that she did not. The process took approximately 35 minutes and still left traces of polish on my toes. After soaking and drying my feet, the technician applied oil and then informed me that she did not know how to apply the polish. She said the owner would complete that portion of the service. I then waited approximately 20 minutes for Yvonne to return. She explained that she had been on the phone and mentioned that she was a teacher. When I requested white polish, she first suggested an old-looking bottle of purple polish with separated color. She then attempted to set up a drying lamp, but it would not work properly. After trying different extension cords, she ultimately told me that she did not have white polish available. At that point, I decided to leave because my pedicure had not been completed, my feet had not been properly polished, and my manicure had not even been started. Surprisingly, I was then told that I owed an additional $40. When I questioned the charge, I was handed only $20 as a refund. I was also told that next time I needed to specify the services I wanted, even though my booking clearly stated that I had scheduled a gel manicure and gel pedicure. While I was there, I also observed the technician begin a pedicure on another customer using the same tools, towels, and foot basin that had been used on me without any visible cleaning, disinfection, or sterilization between clients. I left the salon with sore toes and was limping due to the painful filing process. About 30 minutes later, Yvonne called and said she had located white polish and invited me to return for polishing. Given my experience, I declined. This was the worst salon experience I have ever had. Based on my visit, the salon did not appear properly equipped to provide manicure and pedicure services despite requiring nonrefundable deposits for those services. Customers should be informed in advance if the salon cannot adequately perform the services being offered.
