We had Mike come out to do an install of a new microwave we had purchased through RC Willey. He did a fantastic job with explaining that because of the way the vents were set up in the new microwave it would need to be installed a little bit further out as to not ruin the custom cabinets above. I appreciated him explaining and installing it so that there would not be any future problems, and so the warranty would not be voiced. He was very professional, friendly, and also didn't leave a mess behind. Would definitely recommend this company for any appliance installations. read more

Do not walk away from this company, RUN. Hired them via Lowes to do a microwave install and dishwasher install. They did not call to schedule, they just schedule without communicating and if it doesn't work for you, they won't do the work for you and they will make up lies about why they can't do it. They reported false claims to Lowes that the conditions of my house are unworkable (a false claim we intend to pursue) and canceled the DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT because they wanted to make it impactful, where they knew it would hurt most. Since Lowes would not accept "I was impolite over text to her and she reacted accordingly" as a reason not to do the work, they said it's because my home is unworkable, which is plain out false and slanderous. I reached out last week to see if they could schedule sooner because I was planning a flooring installation and it would have been useful to get the dishwasher in first. Their messages were extremely rude and short. They stated they don't do scheduling for Lowes and I apologized saying it was the number Lowes gave me to contact if I had questions. They asked if the date worked for me, I said it would be more convenient if they could come before Saturday so that I could get my floors installed, since I had booked a flight to have my brother come out to help me for the following week (this week). Their response was "we don't do installs on Saturdays" which very clearly indicated they didn't read my text or want to be bothered to work with me. In response I said I would look to see if someone else could do the install. I called Lowes to see if we could get another contractor but they were the only ones Lowes had in the area so I kept the appointment that was scheduled for today. They confirmed yesterday and then canceled this morning. The reason they reported to Lowes was undisclosed but essentially said that Installs Express said the workspace was unworkable, which is plain out false and verifiable through photos. The real reason was so that they could get back at me for trying to schedule with another company. The audacity of me, to want to work with people who are polite and communicate well, unlike Installs Express. I would recommend anyone considering them to find literally any other company. The workers are rude, inefficient, poor communicators, and this situation has me mind blown. I suppose I will just be installing the dishwasher myself and we have gathered evidence to pursue charges for slander in court because their reasons for not doing the job were flat out lies and the real reason was men behaving like unprofessionals who can't be bothered to read. read more

Incompetent & Unethical: I contacted Installs Express about doing a very easy job: uninstalling a washer/dryer combo unit. I told them that they would need two people to do it, since it was located on a shelf about three feet high, so lowering it would take two people. I confirmed that they were insured, and they gave me a quote for the job and two employees to do it. The day of the uninstall, Installs Express didn't turn the water off even though amateurs know to do that. I received a voicemail from the Installs Express employee frantic about a problem. While removing the washer/dryer, he "clipped" a water pipe, and water was gushing everywhere. I immediately called him back. He explained that he couldn't do anything to stop it as he grabbed towels of mine and was holding it against the pipe trying to stop the gushing water. The second employee from Installs Express wasn't there yet, so he couldn't assist. I immediately called the on-site property management company to ask to assist by turning the water off. The PM was there quickly, but in the meantime, my loft was flooded. After the water was stopped, the Installs Express employee called me back to tell me about the damage: standing water on both floors, custom cabinets needing to be replaced, a large closet needing to be replaced, and possibly many other things. He went out of his way to thank me for being polite to him, as he admitted that most people would be yelling and swearing at him. He again assured me that they were fully insured and would cover all damage. Later that day, Installs Express contracted with another company, without my authorization, to enter my loft to help clean the water out. They set up large, loud, heat-producing fans. They told me that my tenants would have to move for up to a week, meaning I'd have to pay for their hotel expenses. Many days later, I followed up, as nobody was staying in contact with me about updates. They told me the tenants could move back in. However, when they did that, they arrived home to find catastrophe: the water was gone, but everything else was a mess. The couch was upside down (I was later told that was done to try and drain the water from the couch that was ruined) and every other piece of furniture had been stacked on top of each other in a corner. The large fans were still there. So I had to pay for the tenants to go back to a hotel, not to mention reimburse them for their meat/seafood/fruit/vegetables that were spoiled in the refrigerator. The insurance company (Liberty Mutual) for Installs Express was not responding to Installs Express nor me. After about a month, I reached out to the owner of Installs Express. He apologized for the delay and wrote that this was a sign that he needed to get a new insurer. The insurer asked for receipts for my damage and expenses. I sent some of it while other things (new couch, new stove, ruined mini-split heat pump, etc.) hadn't been ordered yet. Eventually, without any inspection of anything, the Liberty Mutual agent (Mark Hanson) denied the claim and said the damage was caused "due to age or inadequate building material quality." How did they come to that conclusion considering the person who worked on it said it was his fault? How did they come to that conclusion without any knowledge of the age of the building or inspecting the material? Nobody knows. The building was 10 years old and the material used was standard CPVC pipe, which is some of the safest and best options to use. But it gets better: The owner of Installs Express then contacted me wanting to be reimbursed for the company they hired to clean up the water, even though I never gave permission for any of it and even though they are legally and ethical responsible for all of the damage. Further, he had the audacity to say that they would waive the fee for uninstalling the combo unit once I paid their vendor for cleaning all of the water. I have filed litigation. The owner has claimed another agent from Liberty Mutual is "taking a look at it," but I've given them 1.5 years to do the right thing. read more

Our sales agent from RC Wiley originally contacted Installs Express to do our dishwasher installation. I was contacted by text several times but when I tried to return their call, I had to leave a message and my call was never returned. I got a text saying the installation date had been cancelled because they did not hear back from me, despite the message I left. This went on for about two weeks, even though I remained in frequent contact with the sales agent. We finally ended up cancelling the delivery with them. It was only until they received the notice of cancellation did they finally contact me to make sure we wanted the installation canceled. The lady that called was quite rude. Needless to say, I would NEVER recommend this company and to anyone, and I even talked to the sales agent about not using them anymore. read more

Mike was really reliable and professional. I got text messages telling me when he would come out to install my dishwasher. He called beforehand and explained that he needed under the sink clean to install the dishwasher. He explained about the tubing that led to a leak in the dishwasher. He was very knowledgeable and kind. He let me know that he can come out if I ever had any problems within a year. I plan on using this company for future products. We bought a dishwasher from RC Willey and this company came out today 5/7/22 and installed it. The guy, Micah, shows up and wife can smell beer on his breath. He didn't seem to know what he was doing, he drilled a hole that didn't need to be drilled and he broke a chunk out of the divider in our cabinet. So after the installation he started the dishwasher and it came up with an error which we think was because it wasn't installed correctly and Micah basically said sorry can't fix it and left. We called Micah on the number he called us from and said he'd make a few calls and never heard back from him. Now the business is closed and here we are with a brand new dishwasher that doesn't work and can't get any response from anyone and its gonna take 2-3 weeks for the warranty company to even come out and look at it.
