Honestly can't say enough good things and I had only been around Mike for about 16 minutes- I had been changing laundry out of the dryer in the dark (first mistake), and a screw fell out of my husband's pants )I thought it made it to the ground but it ended up fallin in the lint trap). My garbage disposal seized up, about about 14 years of use. Stuff has gotten caught in there before, but this was different, nothing I could do to fix. I called Instantfix, and worked with Mike G. He offered to come out a couple hours later, from Fremont to Livermore. The deal was that he would charge $45, and if it was just something jammed tight in there, he would get it out, and that would be the entire charge. Unfortunately my old unit was rusty, and needed to be replaced. He offered to do that right away, $300 for parts and labor. He was very careful to cover his shoes, and use an old towel for the parts he was removing. He tested the new unit several times to ensure no leakage. He was finished in well under an hour. He also showed me how I can make an adjustment underneath with a small hexagonal wrench, if it gets stuck. He even left such a wrench zip tied to a pipe. When I noticed a leak at the bottom of our dishwasher, I knew exactly who to call. Mike G. expertly fixed our oven about a year ago, so it was a no-brainer. I reached out to Mike on Yelp, and he responded within a few minutes. I sent him a video of the leak/drip, and he knew exactly what the problem was. He ordered the part I needed, but it would take 2-4 days to arrive. In the meantime, he made a special visit to put a clamp on our the water line to our dishwasher so that the leak would stop. Two days later he came back with his assistant to replace the water inlet valve. He then tested the dishwasher and waited for it to go through the rinse cycle. While waiting he asked for paper towels, and started cleaning and polishing the outside of our dishwasher! After the dishwasher test was done, he inspected the rest of our dishwasher including the filter. He didn't leave until he was sure our dishwasher was in tip-top shape.
