I was assigned to slot 19 where a taxi from Ace Cab Company was waiting for me. The driver was friendly, they had a flat screen on the back of the passenger seat playing loud, flashy promotional videos for various shows, entertainment, shops and resorts around the strip (which I promptly switched off). There was also a credit card machine with chip reader available on the back of the passenger seat as well. Do know that there is an extra $3 fee if you pay by credit card rather than cash with this company.

After working with AsterRIDE to book 2 separate trips around our personal events in August 2019, I…read morehad 2 separate issues with each trip which seem to boil down to poor communication from AsterRIDE with their contracted drivers and their paying customers, despite have a written and signed contract for each trip. On the first trip, the driver failed to show up and we did not receive any communication. After waiting for 15 minutes, we called the switchboard, and we eventually were told that the driver "had a flat tire" and someone would be dispatched to pick us up. An understandable issue, but the lack of communication and lack of proactive action on the part of AsterRIDE was very disappointing. As a result, we had to find alternative means of transportation for the first half of our trip and our event-goers arrived late to their event. On the second trip, the driver was late, failed to follow the directions in the contract and caused significant inconvenience to our event-goers, despite my efforts to communicate and confirm the details with AsterRIDE. This was not the fault of the contracted driver (who was very apologetic and shared with me the incorrect instructions he received from AsterRIDE), but again, seems to be poor communication by AsterRIDE. In both cases, I worked with management (Seth, the CEO) to attempt to rectify these issues. In the first instance, after some discussion, I was given a partial refund of 20% (the most Seth was comfortable with at the time) and in the second, after a long silence, missed phone appointments and much wasted time on my part, I was given a written promise of 30% refund, but received less than this (Seth, if you are reading this, I am done wasting my time, but your lack of transparency and honesty is very disappointing). I was not fully satisfied with the resolution to either of these issues and it took me over 70 days to resolve them. Needless to say, I cannot recommend using AsterRIDE for any transportation service.

However, our driver (from NY, complete with a heavy accent and coiffed hair) was racist, homophobic, sexist and rude. He wasted no time expressing his distaste for his wife and high maintenance daughters, gay people in general, African American men and interracial dating. On request to make a liquor store stop, he also took us to the most expensive liquor store I've even been in, tucked away in a seedy strip mall; the selection didn't warrant the prices and it felt like a cab scam. I would love to book this service again, as their prices were great and the lady on the phone even gave me a bit of a deal, but based on our driver I just can't. Our entire party was appalled at his behavior. I did call to complain, without asking for any money back. I wonder if they even addressed it....
