Had car repaired after rear end collision earlier last year (took a while to find the time to write this review and it's possible things at the shop have since improved): work was sloppy - had to wait even longer for a few things (such as runs in the finish) that should have easily been caught during their inspections, to be cleaned up. Then got the car home and noticed the paint blending job on the rear bumper was terrible (horribly blended, dull and patchy beneath the clear coat) and they didn't bother replacing a large trim piece that they actually had there ready to go - just put the old, scratched trim piece back on instead. Returned car and had to go through the entire process of getting a rental etc for a second time, so that they could do the job properly. Unfortunately, after getting it home a second time, I found more defects: dull, patchy paint beneath the clear coat like last time but in a different place now. Also found paint overspray on a black trim piece on the bumper. Spoke to the owner, wasn't helpful. Was told that there was no way they could have had any overspray on the trim piece. Yet it was there, like magic. For the HIGH price my insurance was billed for this repair job, their quality control was sub-standard and the attitude I was given by the owner (and his failure to respond to anything further when I attempted to find a resolution after the second round of repairs) was unacceptable. I had another unfortunate accident on Labor Day. Since I already have been to International, I knew that they already do great work!!! The only thing I would suggest to the business is to keep customers informed on a regular basis via phone and/or email to know the status of their vehicle. Otherwise, they do terrific work. This is the best place to I have ever found in Los Angeles for auto repair. Daniel is very nice, very honest, and very knowledgeable-this is obviously very hard to find in this industry. I visited International Auto during my lunch break to simply see what can be done about a small scratch on the middle of the front bumper of my Acura TL. I was immediately greeted by the receptionist and Daniel soon after. Wow, these people sure were friendly!! Daniel had one of his workers do a quick spot repair on the scratch and had me one my way back to work as quick as I got there. I was definitely satisfied. I think Daniel has something up his sleeve that will make many future customers very happy (He was meeting with a few people when I got there and they all showed interested in my repair). From our conversations I learned that Daniel, the owner, is a custom car guy and very passionate about a vehicle looking superb. Had just under $6,000 worth of damage to my car after getting hit. They did a very good job with the bodywork and even buffed out some other scratches not from the accident. The only "downside" was it took a long time to get my car done almost a month, which is OK as I understand they had trouble with some parts. Also, after the car was done it didn't pass mechanical inspection so they sent it out to a mechanic to get major rear end work. Insurance paid for everything. My only minor complaint is they didn't ever call me to keep me in the loop as these things happened. But the day I picked up my car it looked and ran great. read more

Wow I cannot believe the shotty workmanship Daniel's shop did repairing my Toyota Avalon. I ended up taking over to Cooks Collision and they got a good laugh out of my car. The front bumper was hit and the grille broken. Daniel's workmen attempted to glue it back together leaving slag and glue all around the area and then just painted over it. The inspector at cooks mentioned that the finish job looks like it was performed in Tijuana. I expected better out of this shop. OMGosh! This business is the reason I am writing my first Yelp review. I can not express how personable, friendly, and quick the service was here. I basically scratched my car and was shopping quotes. I went here for my second quote. He immediatley took my car around back and attempted to buff it out. Within 5 minutes, my car was back in my hands, scratch free and he didn't charge me a penny. He saved me $1100 in under ten minutes. He was friendly and the whole office was run as if you were family. It was a great experience. I can not recommend them enough. Besides being consummate professionals, Danny and his crew are flat-out good people. I brought in a rental car that had a minor scratch on the front fender. After explaining the situation and how I wanted to try and clean it up before returning the car, Danny had a true gentleman named Oscar bring it around back and buff it, as well as apply touch-up paint that I had bought and brought from the Kia dealership. Oscar was the man. In about a half hour the car was brought back around and the scratches were hardly visible. It really looked as good as it possibly could with the slight damage I had done. When I asked Danny how much it would be, he said that it was free of charge. He said that a nice yelp review would do just fine, and it might be nice to buy Oscar lunch. I ended up forgetting my wallet, but you know I'm coming back tomorrow to get Oscar that lunch he deserves. Read before using this company. They do not stand behind their work. When we tried to resolve this issue with the owner (Daniel) he went berserk. In addition, Daniel, the owner, bated and switch my wife on the estimate, he gave my wife a written estimate for $744.99 then called my wife and said it would be a $1000 and when we picked up the car it was over $1214.54. I was informed by the Bureau of Automotive Repair that what he did was highly illegal, it all was supposed to be in writing. I was also told that this company has had many complaints filed against them for various reasons. We took our vehicle to be repaired at International Auto Body Around May 4, 2017, to repair front end damage. When we picked up the car from IAB on May 9, 2017, we noticed when driving home the front parking assist sensors alarm was going off randomly, there was no problem before the car was repaired by IAB. Upon getting home we called IAB and told them about the problem and were told were told by IAB that it wasn't their problem, even though IAB installed the sensor harness, and were told we had to go to the dealership to get them recalibrated. There was never any mention beforehand by IAB that we had to go have the sensors calibrated and it would be an additional cost, only after the issue was discovered. On May 10, 2017, we then took the Volt to the dealership, Hooman Chevrolet, at IAB's request, the invoice we paid from Hooman had IAB name on it because they made the appointment to get the sensors recalibrated. Hooman tried to recalibrate the sensor array but could not calibrate the sensors because they suspected there was a bad or defective sensor harness which turned out to be the case. Upon finding out that Hooman suspected a bad sensor harness we called IAB. We had to pay Hooman because IAB refuse to. When we called IAB and spoke to the girl who answered the phone, I believe her name was Teresa, and told her that the dealership said there was a bad wiring harness and I asked what IAB was going to do to rectify the problem, she then put me on hold, when she got back on the line I was told that all IAB was going to do was swap out the harness with the dealership and take no responsibility for the labor, she said it was per Daniel. This was our first indication the IAB didn't plan on taking responsibility for the defective sensor harness they installed. Upon telling Hooman Chevrolet that this is what IAB wanted to do they said that couldn't be responsible for the repair and said that they would not use a swapped-out harness that IAB said they would supply them. We had no choice but to have Hooman do the repair. Upon completion of the repair by Hooman it was confirmed that the harness IAB installed was defective. Because of IAB refusal to take responsibility for the repair of installing a defective sensor we have incurred an additional $2345.44 in cost for parts, labor and auto rental expenses to replace the defective part(s) installed by IAB. We tried on several occasions to communicate with IAB but never received a response, including a registered letter sent on July 25, 2017, furthermore, when we were at their office on May 17, 2017, were told by Daniel, the owner to leave because he didn't want to deal with this problem anymore and he was very argumentative and then went on to chastise us as we left. We knew at this time that IAB was not going to fix the defective sensor harness they installed. I would not recommend using this company and found them to be very disingenuous. read more

I picked up my car a few days ago and with the exception of a few minor things, I am happy with the outcome overall. My only issues: one section of the interior that was overlooked and touch up paint on the exterior that was not an exact match. I also thought the price was a little on the high side.
