If I could give a zero for this review, I would. This is the worst experience that I have ever had with a vendor. We worked with Jerry. He kept telling us that he would give us a good price. He did the exact opposite. He jacked up the prices unbelievably and when we did need to return something, he made it impossible to return it saying that there was a 35% restocking fee and that we would need to pay for shipping to send it back. The item was a linear drain for the shower and he sold it to us for $1,000. I looked up the prices when we decided that it wouldn't work and most vendors sold the same linear drain for half the price. He never told us how difficult it is to work with glass tiles and how easily they shatter and crack. He never told us that we shouldn't use glass tiles in small spaces. We should have received a discount because we were working with a builder. We could have received a different discount because my husband is a veteran. We might have even been eligible for a discount because we are senior citizens. He kept telling us that time was of the essence because prices were going up every day. At least we didn't fall under that pressure to buy quickly. I live in a highrise of 385 units. Many of my friends and acquaintances were interested in hearing about our bathroom renovation. When we tell the stories about what we went through for the remodel they now know from whom they should not buy any supplies. read more

This review is long overdue. Four plus years ago, I went to International Bath and Tile for bathroom fittings for my soon to open Tasting Room at my winery. I worked with Lorin and she was incredibly helpful. I had a vision for what I wanted and a budget. She was mindful of my budget and matched up quality materials with my vision. She suggested things like picking sinks with small shelves on the side to set down a wine glass. So practical and yet still very chic looking. This incident occurred on December 23rd, 2024 at around 4 pm. It is disappointing to write this review because we initially had a good experience ordering from International Tile and Bath, but this time, Jerry made a pass at me and my wife. What was supposed to be an exciting experience turned into a slimy and appalling one. When my wife and I first arrived, we were asked by a woman at the front desk if we had been there before, and we happily said that we had worked with Jerry when ordering tiles for our kitchen. Jerry found us looking at tiles and started asking us what we were interested in buying today. This was our 2nd bath remodel, so my wife had a vision and told him she would browse first and come to him with questions later since we had just walked in the door. Jerry ignored that and continued to be overbearing, bringing up hypothetical (and irrelevant) problems he's had with other customers in the past. Finally, my wife politely asked if we could please have a few minutes to browse on our own, and later we would come find him. He made a big deal out of her request and said he would " just disappear." My wife wrote this off as just being a little eccentric, especially since we'd dealt with him before and he was pretty much guaranteed another sale from us. After looking around the shop and narrowing down our choices, we sat down with Jerry at his desk. Once again he started talking AT us about the trouble he's had with clients in the past, etc. We both found it difficult to get a word in regarding our project's needs. As we're heading to the exit, we briefly discuss bathtub options. Jerry says "Is this the bathtub I'll be using when I stay over?" We were shocked. He smiled, looked at my wife and winked. Her jaw was on the floor, so he said "Oh, so you wouldn't invite me over?" (for context, my wife and I are both women). My wife was horrified and we immediately left without acknowledging his comment. His unprofessional and inappropriate behavior ruined what should have been a fun and exciting experience planning our 2nd bathroom remodel. I doubt he would have behaved in this manner if it were a man and his wife shopping for tiles. Moral of the story: international bath and tile has a great selection of tiles and hardware, but if you are not accompanied by a man, I suggest you work with one of the female sales representatives. read more

I'm currently shopping for tiles. I feel torn about leaving this review because I had a fantastic first impression of this store the other day when I came in right before closing and spoke to the owner, Jerry. We talked for quite awhile and I enjoyed his vibe and passion for his business. The store has a huge selection of tile and faucets and I was looking forward to returning for more time to peruse the store. They have a huge selection and I felt like I would find what I needed at this store. Jerry definitely sold me on why I need to go with a more upscale tile store like his than a place like Floor & Decor. I returned today and Jerry was busy helping some other customers. They were going through catalogs and he was clearly going to be occupied for quite awhile. I asked the other worker in the store, a woman with short hair (not sure if she is the owner's wife?) if I could get prices on two samples I pulled out. She said she couldn't do that, only the owner could do that for me. Yes, I admit I am annoying when I ask questions, but every question I had felt like she was unwilling to budge or help me and she seemed downright rude. I just wanted a ballpark price for two samples I was holding in my hands. It was honestly insulting the way she was speaking to me. I gave up trying to talk to her, put the tiles back where I found them, and headed out of the store. She asked if I wanted to leave my info for Jerry and I said, "no, that's okay." I almost told her "don't worry about it, I'm taking my business elsewhere." I had fantastic, patient people helping me at Bedrosian, San Diego Marble and Tile, and Daltile. I don't want to hurt Jerry's business because I really liked him and the selection here was amazing. I might even go back. Came in on a Saturday when all other stores were closed so bonus points for that. I'm in the process of replacing my countertops and needed a new sink. They have a wide selection of sinks and just about everything you could think off. The workers were very helpful with helping me pick out a new sink and the accessories for it. Update June 2020: I wanted to update my review of International Bath and Tile because my last interaction with them was very positive and worth sharing. We recently (May 2020) ordered floor tile, backsplash, and a kitchen faucet from International Bath and Tile as part of a kitchen remodel project. We had workers scheduled, demo had been accomplished, the tile came in very quickly, things were going well... The project was nearing completion, one of the last items left was installing the new kitchen faucet, but we still had not received it. I contacted International Bath and Tile and our always helpful sales representative Jerry found out from the manufacturer- Hansgrohe, that the particular faucet we ordered was on back order and would not be delivered until mid July, over two months away. He explained how difficult it had become reaching representatives from many of these companies during the pandemic due to decreased staffs and individuals not being as accessible due to teleworking. We had been without a fully functioning kitchen for several weeks and we were not at all pleased about the prospect of continuing like that. I went into the shop and Rito (the warehouse manager) spent a lot of time taking me all around the warehouse trying to find a faucet that they had on hand that would work. Unfortunately, the styles were not right or the finish was wrong, so then Jerry had me come down to the show room and pick out a faucet from the show room. We literally disassembled the display case, we removed the faucet I liked, I took it home and our workers installed it the next day, and our project was done in time! I sincerely appreciate them going the extra mile to help us out like that, and I don't know many other retailers who would do that. My wife and I just ordered our fourth round of tile from International Bath and Tile, they are truly great. Their showroom has an enormous selection of every type of tile imaginable. The number of options is initially overwhelming, but the sales staff are experts in their craft and can you help narrow down the selections to the style and color to fit your needs. We were assisted by Jerry Moch on the last three occasions, and he i a pleasure to work with. I was warned by 4 different contractors/plumbers to stay away. Unfortunately, I did not listen. The customer service was poor if any. But there was one item they had which I could not find elsewhere for our bathroom. They kept telling me it was one of a kind. I researched days trying to find it. We finally bought it, then they told me who made it. As soon as I had that info, i found it on their website $500+ less than they sold it to me for. I inquired with them in three separate venues. No response from two inquiries. And one response that said I could return it and start over. What kind of answer is that?? I also inquired about some pebble 'tile'. They gave me a price $8 a sq ft more than 3 other places I went to. They are extensively overpriced and our customer service was not positive. read more

This review is for Kara. She treated us very poorly. We went in over the weekend right when they opened and were the only customers. We're doing an extensive remodel that includes 2 bathrooms and the whole 1st floor flooring of 2000 sq ft of wood-look tile. I asked for help and was quite specific of what I was looking for. For example, told her I was looking for a single piece, dual flush, skirted toilet. Kara apparently got tired of me asking for prices of the models on the floor or got lazy. Her response was that they are in a certain dollar range and told me they sell all Totos without suggesting any one in particular or even handing me a brochure for me to look through. I inquired about the length and costs of some tubs on the floor. Again, I know what I want - a freestanding, oval tub of no more than 65 inches that's not acrylic- yet she didn't suggest any ones I particular. Everytime I asked for help, she would have to go to her computer to look up information, she would say the dollar amount followed by "Okay?" in a dismissive tone, then go straight back behind the computer. She didn't stick around asking if we needed help. I asked about a particular model she said she didn't have pricing and would have to wait until Monday to get that information yet she didn't take down my information to follow-up. The only information she asked was what city I lived. She did print out one tub dimension and price but didn't even include the name of the tub or model number. It's either really poor attention to detail or she just didn't think we are serious customers and didn't care. At one point she said, "Well, I could sit here all day looking up prices for you but they are all about $3-5K" then continued to do something at her desk. It really was her tone that just irked me. We walked out and drove to Ferguson's where they eagerly helped us with everything we need. We gave them our business including all Hansgrohe fixtures and a beautiful Victoria and Albert tub. We honestly feel that we were not treated with respect because we don't look like the typical customer who is probably an older caucasian. I don't want to say that she discriminates but that's certainly how we felt. So if you're a minority do not work with Kara. read more

I just called in to inquire what freestanding tubs they have on the showroom floor. She said three. I asked for the names of them so I can look up the specification sheets online and see if they'll work for my project. She was an older woman with a heavy smokers voice. She was so rude and annoyed and wouldn't let me fInish a sentence to ask a question. Need to order the tub today and before I made the 1 hour drive I wanted to be sure they had the size I need. I have never been spoken to so rudely by any showroom. If this was my business I would fire her on the spot. She was Horrible. read more

It should be 100 stars.Jerry Moch has helped me select all the fixtures for our remodel, which encompassed three bathrooms plus a new kitchen. Working with Jerry has been one of the easiest parts of the remodel. He definitely knows the manufacturers and will see that your items are delivered in a timely fashion and just what you want. I've shopped around, and IB&T is as competitive as it gets on its pricing. What's most important is working with a knowledgeable person like Jerry so you get just what you want. He will spend the time that's needed with you so you clearly understand what fixtures to choose from. I found the most incredible Tabarka tile on Pinterest that I had to have. Sight unseen ! Had to have it. I knew it was the one and didn't have time To wait for control sample. Placed the order through Lorin no problem. A couple of weeks later, I went and picked up the sample for reference. I hated the color. It looked nothing like the picture. I should know never to trust pictures but I was impulsive and rushing/ bad combo. Needless to say it would have been a very expensive mistake. I reached out to Lorin on Sunday night freaaking out. She responded right away. She never IN FACT placed the order. Not only that, she offered to come-the following day with options since I was without car. Bottom line she is super well knowledgeable in this field and knew NEVER to order something till the customer signs off. That is someone well seasoned in the industry who cares about their customers...thank you !! Can't wait to get our new approved Tabarka tile in for install. read more

I stopped in to look for some tile. The lady at the front was wholly uninterested in helping me. I found a couple of things that I thought were interesting and she wouldn't just look it up. She was busy on another project and had ZERO customer service skills. I'd avoid this place if you want someone helpful and not a cranky old lady who sucks. Edit: there were two women there who 100% ignored me. The one I had to stand in front of and talk to in order for her to even engage me was condescending and rude. Yes, I said some things to her and I shouldn't have but the level of frustration when you ask someone, "how much is this tile?" and she flat out refuses to help you is mind boggling. Placed an order on 10/27, received an email from Dawn telling me the order will take 18-22 weeks and it is non-returnable, non-cancellable. OK, I said proceed with the order. On Oct. 31 I get an email that it will be an extra $98 to ship my order (this is on a $1,000+ order). Unacceptable bait-and-switch ordering process. Avoid this seller and give your business to a company that doesn't use these tricks. read more

One of the owners was very patient. Knowledgeable and offered terrific suggestions. We began contemplating our project (extensive bath remodel) in April. His advice because of Covid was to order as soon as possible because of supply issues. Wow! Jerry was right on! As a result nearly all of our supplies arrived even before we began our project. I was in search of a specific Kitchen sink and called numerous vendors and was told the sink was either out of stock or back ordered, and would take approx. 6 weeks for delivery. Within 1/2 hour after phoning Jerry, he called me back and told me that he located the sink and was able to have it to me within a week. My whole experience with Jerry was excellent. BEWARE 35% RESTOCKING FEE! Placed an order for a tub for $2700.00 and the next morning discovered I made a mistake on the size. Called Kara to cancel the order and was told I would be charged a 35% restocking fee. After telling her I contacted a lawyer and was told I shouldn't be charged a restocking fee when the tub was never shipped and I had not received it, she said she was able to give me a full refund. What a wonderful location that we found by accident. We needed a bathroom showroom with extended hours on Saturday and this was the only one open past 12 noon. The staff were absolutely wonderful asking some initial questions about desired colors and materials. Once they knew that they took us around to show us options. We returned many times as we narrowed our search and finally decided on what we wanted. Each time the staff was exceptionally patient and recognized us when we returned. The tile was ordered and arrived quickly. We were notified all through the process until we got our tile. Everyone that assisted us, from warehouse to reception, were so very nice and helpful. We've been wanting to remodel our master bath shower for a while and since we have lots of time at home with the Covid 19 pandemic we thought we would try and tackle the job. He put in extra effort to call all the vendors to make sure items were in stock and could be shipped ASAP. IBT has a great showroom and very large selection of tile but our positive experience ended there. We bought all of the tile for our shower remodel here. After initially making the order with our very nice salesperson, we were very excited to get all of the cool tile we had picked out. Unfortunately some of it was specialty tile that took awhile which was fine but getting any kind of update or the salesperson to call us back was next to impossible. Once our tiles arrived a couple of weeks late, we realized that the specialty tiles we had ordered were not the ones we ordered (we kept them because we couldn't wait any longer with our tile guy) and another set of tiles were of such poor quality that we returned them and ordered replacement tiles. The replacement tiles came a couple of days later but after getting them home, we realized that the tiles were half one color and half another color (we had ordered only one color). The correct tiles were sent out a couple of days later. However, at this point, our tile guy realized that they had sent the wrong size of another set of tiles so those had to be reordered. Basically, of all the tile we ordered only one set was correct . All the other sets/types of tile had something wrong with them. Some people might say that IBT ordered the correct tiles and their suppliers are the ones that screwed up but I'm working with and paying IBT and not their suppliers. If their suppliers are so incompetent then they should find new ones. Ultimately, we got great tile and the shower turned out amazing but IBT and its suppliers were a major pain to deal with and did very little (nothing really) to compensate us for our troubles. read more

Need a wood sink? No problem. 1" x 12" glass tile? Certainly. A square toilet? Sure, no questions asked. Don't even think about getting your tile at HD. This is the biggest and best tile store I've ever been to...and trust me, I've been to a lot. I'm saving you a lot of time and gas money by sending you straight here. They have a whole room dedicated to just glass tile. Slate, porcelain, metallic, glass, spanish, marble, stone: anything your heart desires. Plus, sinks, toilets, knobs, pulls, fixtures and anything else you might need for the bath. read more

I went in here looking for porcelain tiles and was a bit disappointed by their limited selection. However, if you're looking for accent strips, art decos, mosaic, etc., then this is the place for you! They have a vast amount of tile decorations to choose from. The stuff they sell here are pricey, however, I do admit that their selections are "nicer" than most other stores like Dixieline and of course, Home Depot. I'm coming back to buy some art decos and mosaics for sure. Here's a tip for you: do NOT buy floor/wall tiles from here. They don't stock them at all, therefore, they markup their prices. read more

I was helping my folks get new stuff for their bathroom remodel. I went to this place based on the fact they had a showroom filled with all sorts of bathroom stuff like faucets and showerheads and sinks. Everything was very well laid out, and the staff was approachable and friendly. They didn't have any sort of "salesperson" persona, so it was easy to talk with them about what we wanted and could afford. There was no pressuring, they just showed us what matched up with the details we gave them (small bathroom, medium-high budget, mediterranean look). They had the brand we were interested in (Oceanside glasstile) for the floor. I'd go there again for my own house. read more

I was disappointed to learn that they don't offer installation, they only refer out. Overall, the showroom is beautiful, but a bit stuffy and confusing if you are not sure what you need. I also thought it was bizarre that two of the employees never said hello to me when I was browsing right in front of their desk, and I clearly heard them reviewing an order and discussing their mark up and profitability. Again, they dont have a big selection of woodlike tiles but they had exactly what I was looking for that no one else had. The delivery was on time and the tiles came without damage. I'm giving two stars for the shopping process up until our tile was delivered. We received friendly customer service in the store, found some good-looking tile, and it was shipped to our home within a few days. Unfortunately, out of the 11 boxes of tile purchased, one of them arrived broken. Every piece of tile in that box was cracked in the same place and unusable. We reported it to International Bath and Tile and asked them to send out a replacement. Vicky took my call and said she couldn't do anything for me without first filing a report with the shipper. She had me send multiple photos and then told me to wait for a reply. Meanwhile our project was left on hold. She never responded to us, not after weeks of waiting and multiple phonecalls to the store which always went to voicemail. When it reached the point of ridiculousness, we purchased our own box of replacement tile directly from the manufacturer, and had to go through our credit card company to get a refund on the broken product. we recently remodeled our master bath and international bath/tile was the 4th place we visited looking for that perfect tile. this place has a lot to offer, but we were only looking for tile so i can't comment on everything else.
