I've used International Body Shop twice -- around 15 years ago at the recommendation of the service manager at the dealership I was working at during that time, and again just last week. Both times, the work was excellent. This last time, they were kind enough to also tackle some scratches for a reasonable charge. Their team was really communicative, despite the fact that I was traveling for work and impossible to get a hold of, and ultimately had to have my dad return most of the calls for me. My car was returned to me on time and had been fully detailed, which was a wonderful surprise as it was in desperate need of professional cleaning. My poor car has sustained a lot of minor damage due to city street parking and downtown parking garages, but now, it looks *almost* new. read more

I don't get what it is with these guys. I have given International Body Shop two times to impress me and both times they have left me wanting more. And trust me- I am no car expert but I know quality workmanship when I see it. The fleet company that manages my company car uses this place when those "dings", and "drats", and "bumps" happen to one of our company cars. While they are buttoned up on the front end in terms of scheduling the work, the actual work seems to be a little shortchanged. Case in point. A few years ago- my car had a run in with a telephone pole and needed some back quarter panel work. I took my car here to have it repaired. It came out looking shiny and new yet within a few months- I had a crack in the new paint job. Fast forward a couple of years and I took the same car to another body shop to fix some rust- and they told me they had to re-do the back quarter panel to fix that crack. Some of the under work had not been done properly. Really? And now again last week. I once again was directed by my fleet company to take a different company car in to get a cracked bumper fixed and to touch up some scratches on the one side. When I picked the car up- they had painted the bumper the wrong color. The wrong color! And that touch up paint? A 2nd grader could have been more diligent in "coloring between the lines"! And maybe if the paint had matched- I would not have been able to see the poor job. I find it ridiculous with all the paint codes and computer chips - etc that they could pick the wrong color. So now my "dual tone" car has to go back in and be re-painted. Urrgh! I don't ask for much. I want quality work done at the price quoted. I have spoken to my fleet contact to tell them of the dissatisfaction with this place and I hope for either an improvement in the work done- or a change in who services one of the largest fleets of company cars in the area. Today I had my car serviced at Roesch Ford . While I was there, I asked them to push in part of the read bumper as it was sticking out. The service tech pushed and pushed but it wouldn't go back into place. They sent me over to International Body Shop on Lake Street in Elmhurst and within 5 minuets I had the problem solved. The man who does the estimates came out and got on his knees and popped it back in place. No charge and he was very courteous. The person I spoke to on the phone was incredibly friendly and professional, she arranged car rental pickup and drop off from the shop which went very smoothly. The people who work here are super friendly. On one of my visits I met the owner and spoke with him a little bit. The front end of my 2014 Hyundai Veloster Turbo was damaged. They did an amazing job so glad i picked them. The employees are very Courteous,they answer right away. Admittedly, having to go to a body shop is rarely something one wants to do - which is why it's really important to find a good one that you can rely on to make things right/good as new. Our family has had cars repaired/repainted by International five or six times over nearly a decade and only had one issue which they fixed promptly. I dropped in to get an estimate for the removal of some green paint on my white bumper from a brush against the garage door frame. Cris Guzman told me that a full repair would require painting the entire bumper but that they might be able to simply buff out the green and touch up a couple small chips. On the spot, he took the car in, performed the latter repair and, in a matter of minutes, brought it out looking like new. I so appreciated that Cris (1) dealt with me on a drive in basis without the need for an appointment and (2) started with the low cost alternative. This is a great place to get your body work done. They replaced my front fascia a couple of years ago (I broke it driving into a frozen snow drift). This year, the bottom part was pulled off (again the snow) but not ruined. I took it over there and they put it back on with new clips. At no charge! These guys did a excellent job on my Durango, It's has a metallic paint job. They matched it spot on. Used all good replacement parts. After about six months the license plate light burnt out. During a recent storm, a large part of a tree broke off and fell squarely onto my car. I contacted my insurance company, which suggested several body repair shops in my immediate area. However, on two prior occasions I utilized International Body Shop for repairs and was very pleased with their work, so I returned to them. I understood that there would be a longer wait for vehicle replacement parts due to supply chain interruptions so made adjustments to be without my vehicle for several weeks. To my delight, International Body Shop obtained the replacement parts and completed the work within one week of receiving the green light from my insurance company. To boot, the team went above and beyond the call by cleaning the inside of my vehicle as a courtesy. When the work was finished, my car looked better--inside and out-- than it had before the damage occurred.
