Dropped by during lunch time. Plenty of options from cold to hot sandwiches. I ordered a large size (8") Club sandwich and a regular size (6") Italian for take out. Both sandwiches were made to order, and contained plenty of ingredients (eg meats, cheese, etc). Can't go wrong either sandwiches. Will for sure come back to try their hot sandwiches next time in the area. Good service all around. Plenty of parking spaces as the shop is located in a semi-corporate office area. Plenty of seating space inside the shop as well. Decently priced considering the portion size of the sandwiches. Come and support our local small businesses!

Pastrami and turkey sandwich on sqwaw bread.

Great sandwich place that is popular - you could tell with the customers who came in person and phone orders. Base price for a regular 6in is 8.99$ and then if you want to add their popular sqwaw bread you will add a but more. I got their turkey sandwich and it came with the regular lettuce and tomatoes. My hubby got the pastrami which came out to be a little pricier but didn't have the lettuce and tomatoes - but this was pur bad for not ready their menu properly. If you pay by card there is a fee so bring cash if you have that handy!

Their smoke house turkey and bacon sandwich is good. Turkey, bacon, and avocado is fantastic. Fast service considering they make it fresh and delicious. Price is about $16 per person just for the 8" sandwiches alone, which is higher than most sandwich shops offering 12" subs. You have the option to dine in but the owner is pretty suggestive about customers do takeout instead, if ordering around 3:45 PM, this is the only vibe which made the experience poor. This deli closes at 4 PM sharp!

    The Ultimate with Squaw

First time here after it was recommended by a co-worker. Straightforward interior - a counter and a few tables. Service is also straightforward. I only order a couple of sandwiches as is, but you can tell they will build the sandwich to how you want it - ingredients, type of bread, etc. I got the Ultimate on Squaw bread and it was very good. They have typical sandwich types, but also some special ones that have a different combination of ingredients. I'll have to come back and try some of the others offered.

Stopped by for a quick lunch & their Reuben was amazing & made me definitely want to come back to try more of their menu. The only thing I'd look out for is that menu prices aren't listed at the board & when I was checking out, she said to tap when ready and I had to ask how much it was to know the price? I got a regular size coming out to around $14.

    Smoked turkey on squaw bread

Tried this place for lunch today. It's such a cute little place with lots of tables if you want to eat there. I ordered a smoked turkey on squaw bread, and my husband ordered the squaw tuna. Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back to try some of their other sandwiches. They have lots of the usual sandwiches, but they also have some interesting combinations. The only thing that bothered me is that prices are not listed on the chalkboard. Our bill was just under $20 for two regular sandwiches. I will definitely be back!

    Avomelt with tuna about $13ish

This place has been my go-to spot whenever I am craving a solid sandwich. The ingredients are always fresh, the bread is just right, and the flavor combos never miss. I have tried a bunch of their sandwiches by now, and honestly, I haven't had a bad one yet. My personal favorites are the avomelt with tuna, tuna squaw and the veggie sandwich. The only thing keeping it from a full five stars is the price -- it's a bit on the higher end for a sandwich. But the quality makes it feel worth it most days. Still, if you're looking for a place that nails the sandwich game, this is it.

This review is long overdue. So long I didn't even realize I never left one. lol I've had the pleasure of eating lunch here for many years. I normally call ahead and take my sandwich to go. Admittedly, I always order the same one - the Avocado Melt. I'm not a vegetarian, but I am equal parts avocado and cheese lover. lol It is a delicious, warm pressed sandwich on sourdough bread with melty cheese and fresh veggies. It's my absolute favorite, and I will order it again and again. That's not to say the other sandwiches aren't equally as good. I love the tuna melt as well. I really think you can't go wrong here, and the staff is so nice. The location is easy to access and it is always clean. By calling ahead, I'm in and out in no time. I will always be a loyal customer.

I tried this today for the first time, as I had skipped breakfast and it was open at 10AM. There is plenty of parking and lots of space inside to dine in. The place is clean and spacious inside. I placed my to go order with the friendly girl behind the counter, and my BBQ Beef sandwich was quickly made. I ordered the Large, but it was a little bit on the small size. The bbq beef and melted cheese tasted very good, but left me wanting more. They have a large selection of cold or hot sandwiches, so I will be back to try some more!

Recently, we learned about their Thursday specials: entrees come with a salad and drink. It came out to be about $20 per person. Not bad for a sit down with the family. It's definitely a better experience than Panera. At least at Old World, the servers bring out the generous portions with plates and utensils to the table, timely. The dining room is spacious and their restrooms are always well maintained. The only downside is the parking. It may be difficult to find close parking during the business hours of the adjoining businesses. Otherwise, it's a good place for an informal meal.

It was…read moresmall, crowded and the service (as well as English proficiency) is not fully there, but that's expected at a legit mom and pop place like this. Personally, it felt more like a get in and get out kind of place, but some large group did actually try to cram in and sit in there. It's a bit stuffy and not the cleanest, with people waiting to order somewhat spilling into the seated areas, so I wouldn't recommend bringing a group or kids here. The back freezer has a variety of dumplings at 50 for $26 dollars ($27 for the shrimp), which is fairly priced compared to competitors. The steamed buns / baos are priced at $2.50 each and if you buy 10, you get one free. I bought an unsliced daikon radish cake for $14 and it yielded 17 thin slices. Sweetened large soymilk was 4.20 each and came piping hot to go. Quality of food is pretty good. We finished the pork and vegetable baos in one week. My picky daughter who normally only eats the outside of the bao actually ate the filling, to our surprise. The daikon cake was easy to slice and freeze individual slices for use later, but don't expect the same savory goodness of Cantonese dimsum dinners; it certainly tasted like it was missing something. Soymilk was thoroughly enjoyed, at least by the adults. It had that nice, earthy taste of freshly made goodness. We'll definitely be back to stock up on the baos and perhaps try out some of their dumplings.

Once upon a time…read more.. Actually, 17.5 years ago, I wrote a review for this Taiwanese bakery institution, about a year after I started Yelping. As I recall, phones weren't used to take pictures and linking things involved a camera, a desktop computer, and cutting and pasting to post and link photos to my reviews. So here we are... a generous and thoughtful friend drove to the bay from SoCal bearing edible gifts. I met him a few hours after he arrived and immediately put the food in a refrigerator. A couple of days later, I grabbed one of each of the two items from here as part of me dinner. Here's what I had: A. Vegetable buns (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=aOUiGEn4LkCRWnzs-_dmEQ) - filling (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=mDwD1Ueo2__g9jssDjkRkw); fluffy but not dry buns filled with cabbage, cellophane noodles, and pickled cabbage. My suggestion in steaming is to bring the pot to a boil before placing it to steam and immediately cover the pot and turn off the stove. The heat from the boiling process and the cool down is enough to reheat these pre-cooked buns. B. Hua gwei (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=OKTdV-KbjUgV9QS3iACQsA) - (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=oYx8gygIV3qI5zX3_zDF2A); a mix of diced cooked radishes, minced pork, and a quarter slice of stewed egg is molded into this delicious pastry and topped with plenty of cilantro. It came with a delicious garlic, vinegar, soy dipping sauce. I remember dining at their original location in Monterey Park on Atlantic Blvd. back on the 1980's so this bakery has withstood the test of time and still has a loyal following. Over those years, I was not fond of these items as my palate leaned toward heavier noodle, meat, and saucy dishes. In recent years, I have been more open to flavors and my last trip to Taipei ten years ago always widened my horizons. My generous friend gave me a good supply that I froze. Trust me as my friend has frozen her stash for years and they keep well. I remember that the store had two entrances, one from inside the mall and the other from the outside by the parking area. Most of the pastries are on trays on tables where the customer was able to pick what they wanted with some in a counter next to the cash register. As my last visit was pre-Covid, I don't know how this might have changed. In my memory, there is no place to dine in there. I look forward to coming here again and seeing how much it has or hasn't changed.
