Talk about a one-of-a-kind sandwich shop. This place is amazing. I've had their Italian on a roll and now their veggie delight (minus egg, add turkey), on squaw, and both have been the best sandwiches I have ever had. Their bread is so amazing and soft. My husband and I were looking for a sandwich place for lunch. So glad we found this place on yelp! We split a chicken salad sandwich on squaw bread. It was delicious! This review is long overdue. I've been grabbing sandwiches from here for the last three to four years. While I haven't tried the entire menu yet, I feel confident saying that everything I've had has been consistently delicious. My go tos are the turkey club, Italian, chicken salad, tuna, and egg salad sandwiches. Their ham, egg, and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich is also excellent. I also have to mention how great the service is. The shop appears to be run by three generations. The grandmother, the mother, and the daughter. I love this sandwich place. It's located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. You can either call in your order or order in the store. They have hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, salads, soups, chips, and soft drinks. I've tried beef bulgogi sandwich, egg salad sandwich, italian cold cut sandwich, and steak & cheese sandwich. You can custom the sandwich based on what you want and you can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients. They have seating inside too. I believe this is a family owned business and they have the best customer service. I highly recommend this sandwich shop. I lived across the street from this restaurant for 16 years and didn't know this restaurant was there. I had the French dip and my friend had a salad doing a lunch meeting. The food and service were both excellent. The food came pretty quickly, considering how busy it was. Highly recommend this place for lunch. There is some indoor seating, but most people seem to buy to go. The prices are pretty comfortable to other places, but the food is good and the people who live there are friendly. read more

This is always my go to lunch place when I can't think of something I'm craving. It's healthy, fast, and reasonably priced. One sandwich can feed me for 2 meals. On top of all that, it's a family owned business and the mother/daughter are always so nice to all their customers. As a picky eater, I love that each sandwich is fully customizable, and despite all the changes I ask for, not once have they made a mistake in my order (very impressive!!). It's also great because they have options for vegetarians and vegans, and we love an inclusive business! I ordered for pick up, they were super busy but was so helpful on the phone went over pretty much the whole menu for me and was very helpful , nice , and super patient while I was deciding what I wanted ! When I arrived everyone greeted me when I walked in super nice had my order ready to go! I didn't even know this place was here ! But I am so glad I found it ! I was in the area looking to pick up something quick for lunch. I found this spot on Yelp, and it didn't disappoint! My Lunch Spot is nestled among a bunch of offices, so you may not notice it's there at first. This unassuming mom & pop cafe serves sandwiches, soups and salads. You can pick between cold and hot sandwiches. I've tried the Charlie's Special (corned beef, pastrami, Swiss) and Mary's Special (roast beef, roasted green chile, provolone). Both are fantastic! They both come with veggies, and they're stuffed. Flavors are delicious, and the bread is tasty too. Prices are reasonable. Half sandwiches are about $9 and full sandwiches are about $13, give or take before tax. The staff is so friendly too! You can tell there are a lot of regulars, as customers even call in orders asking them to pick their lunch for them! Plenty of parking around. I'll definitely be back to try more! read more

By far the best deli-style sandwich in Diamond Bar! I called in my order for pickup and was blown away by the experience. We tried the Ham & Cheese on a roll and the Veggie Delight on a roll--both were absolutely delicious! Veggie sandwiches can be hit or miss, but this one was a standout. The addition of egg took it to the next level, making it hearty, flavorful, and super satisfying. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and the pricing was more than reasonable--totally worth the drive. They also have plenty of seating inside and is clean! I discovered this hidden gem when I was searching for sandwiches nearby. Veggie Delight: I wanted a light lunch so I opted for a vegetarian sandwich. OH MY GOD. One of the best veggie sandwiches I've had. They load it with avocado and it makes the sandwich amazing. I always ask for extra mustard and they're always happy to do it! I visited My Lunch Spot on 04/26/23. I decided to order the Denise's Club Sandwich with Squaw bread and a side of potato salad. The sandwich was delicious. I loved that it came with roast beef, turkey, ham, and cheese with fresh vegetables. It was also my first time trying the Squaw bread - super tasty! The potato salad was nice and cold. Parking is super easy as it's in a plaza and shares a big lot with other businesses. They had a special menu, so I'm not too sure what is and is not part of their usual menu, but this is what we ordered: 1. Baltimore Crab Cakes (comes with 2): we were pleasantly surprised as it came with a side salad; the crab cakes themselves were not dry at all and came with a good amount of crab. Delicious, 5/5 2. Heirloom tomato and stone fruit salad: one of the things they pride themselves on is sourcing their ingredients locally and sustainably. You can really tell with this dish that all of their ingredients are really high-quality and fresh. The stonefruit was super sweet. The price ($18) was a bit high for the portion size, so this was a 4/5 for us. 3. Crab & tonnarelli: really good cook on the pasta; my husband is really picky on pasta that's overcooked, but this came to us perfectly al dente. There was a good amount of crab as well, so we appreciated that they didn't skimp. That said, the taste was a bit one-toned and underseasoned, which is a lot coming from us since we typically complain about food being too salty. If it came with a bit more salt, it would've been one of our favorites. 3.5 (maybe 4)/5 4. Pork sisig and garlic rice: we love sisig, so we had to order it. While it was super flavorful and delicious, we couldn't finish it on the spot since it was pretty salty and we were getting full. We did take it home and cook some more vegetables into it to dilute the salt a bit. 4/5 5. Ricotta cheese pancakes: super fluffy and airy, you can tell why they need 20 minutes to prep them. Again, the fruit they used was super fresh and sweet. Loved, no notes. 5/5 Service-wise, there were some hiccups with our orders. Our salad came to us without the burrata and when we asked them about it, it took about 3-4 people double-checking their menu to confirm it actually came with burrata, then a handful more minutes to rectify it. It seemed strange to me that they were unfamiliar with their own menu. Our pork sisig dish came out much later than every other dish and our waiter had to check up on it a few times, so it may have just gotten missed. There seemed to be a lot of people working in the front, but somehow hard to flag them down and get helped when we needed it. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as it was Mother's Day and I'm sure it was busier than usual. Our waiter was also gracious in comping a drink as a result of the long wait for the sisig. Overall, we'll still come back as we want to try other dishes and we do appreciate the freshness of the ingredients and their integration of vegetables with dishes, which can sometimes be hard to come by. It's pretty easy to maneuver because there's pictures of all the food and drink items. Speaking of drink items, they do serve wine. They have different kinds of fish with optional sides. Love the option of not only getting fried fish and able to get it grilled. Prices are very reasonable with options to upgrade your sides for a small price (ex: asparagus, etc). The staff are very nice. The restaurant itself is of a decent size and very clean. I love how there's an area to get your own to-go boxes and bags. Makes it convenient instead of waiting for someone to help you. Food Rating : I ordered the Grilled Rock Fish (regular seasoning) with side of French Fries. I love the butter sauce but the fish and fries are actually very dry and looked nothing like the photos. It is sad to say that the fish I make at home with my Suvie oven robot 3.0 looks better. However, my meal was under $20 with a drink so I really can't complain. I'll still come back for the convenience of being able to satisfy my fish craving at a "fast food" type of establishment where I can be in and out in less than an hour.

You can expect a bustling and vibrant ambience during this time. We got several dishes: drunken noodles, pad see ew, house fried rice, and yellow pumpkin curry. Each dish came with our choice of protein; the options without an extra cost were chicken, pork, tofu, and vegetables. Our server was friendly, and the other staff made sure we had our waters refilled. Along with great service, I enjoyed the food again. The drunken noodles were flavorful and not too spicy. Mixing the house fried rice with the yellow pumpkin curry was really delicious. You get a great blend of savory and sweet flavors. Portions are large, so we took leftovers home.

Highly recommend this. Chicken Satay: This is our other favorite dishes. The chicken is tender and well seasoned. This is a great alternative for their popular crying tiger in terms of the portion and pricing. Papaya Salad: I was a bit disappointed with this. The papaya salad is lack of flavoring (specifically the garlic taste). It's not very marinated. Tom Yum Soup: We got a small bowl of the seafood tom yum soup. The portion is great for 2 people, but don't expect too much seafood from it. The flavor is good, so it's still a great soup option. Non-Sweet Sticky Rice: Unlike other places, their sticky rice is served as a dessert, you can still taste the coconut flavor. Most other traditional Thai places serve sticky rice as unsweetened and plain (i.e., jasmine rice soaked overnight). Not really mad about this. The service was absolutely amazing. We made a reservation ahead of time to avoid waiting in line. I'm glad we did because there were already people waiting when we arrived at 6pm. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. Overall, Basil & co. is a great Thai restaurant option in town, but I wouldn't say it is the BEST Thai restaurant I ever had.

We went back to get it fixed and the second pizza they gave us was still raw. At that point we tried for a third one but they eventually just gave up and offered a refund instead. The kicker? I'm still waiting on that refund to actually hit my account. I ended up taking the undercooked pizza home and throwing it in my own oven just so we wouldn't get sick and the food wouldn't go to waste. Super disappointing and honestly pretty gross to serve dough like that multiple times. Save your money until they figure out how to use their ovens.

I've tried plenty of things but my ultimate favorite is the grass fed burger or Philly chicken melt. And always works. Side of sweet potato fries. Everyone here always has great service and have never had a bad experience with an employee. And kids eat free on Tuesdays and Saturdays is for sure a reason to get me coming back!!

The freshness of the veggies and the crunch from the bacon was perfect. One specific detail I'd have to mention was the cream cheese they use in the wrap.
