food: - ordered the soup of the day + italian cold cut sandwich (around ~$17 in total) to go - soup came out hot and warm and the sandwich tasted delicious as well - plenty of ingredients inside of the bread, worth its price service: - the lady who took my order was friendly and sweet and made sure i had a spoon + crackers for the soup in the bag before handing my order which i appreciated very much ambiance: - [[HIGHLIGHT]]although there wasn't too many people at the time that i visited, the place felt comfortable and relaxed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - definitely a hidden gem of a small business, would recommend anyone who's in the area in a mood for a good sandwich and some warm soup for breakfast/lunch :)

My Lunch Spot is definitely a hidden gem to the city. I drive around this area often and I've always been curious about this Deli Shop. I have not been able to check them due to the hours, but recently I had time to stop in. They are located in a business park and parking is a bit limited in the front. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You don't see much from the outside because of the tinted windows, but inside they are working efficiently.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff greated me when I entered, by the vibe of the restaurant its a family owned business. The staff was welcoming throughout my entire time. I asked which hot sandwich was their most popular. The gentlemen said the Beef Bulgogi Sandwich. I opted for that one and the 6in option. You can choose your style of bread as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside has plenty of seating and they will bring the sandwich out to you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would say this sandwich was as advertised! It was tremendous! The sweet and savory flavors of bulgogi in between bread is a recipe for success! Flavor bombs in every bite! The staff even asked if I wanted jalapeños and of course I couldn't say no. It added perfect amount of heat and elevated the tastes of the sandwich. I would say My Lunch Spot definitely delivered for me on my first visit! If I'm in the area again before closing I would happily try more subs/sandwiches. They're a local favorite and I can see why. Thanks for the great lunch! ( ^_^)b

Freshest of the freshest egg salad sandwich with avocado & bacon on squaw bread. (Bulgogi french roll in the back)

Back for more! Still the freshest ingredients, tastiest flavors, biggest portions and best prices. Great "lunch spot" for healthy eating. Super friendly family owned business. They also have specialty korean type hot sandwiches like spicy pork or bulgogi :)

Tomato basil soup and requested toasted sourdough bread on the side. Unsweetened fruit tea, really good

Another breakfast in the books. Everything bagel seasoning with an egg on top of avocado toast and a fresh tomato. So good!

I have been passing by My Lunch Spot many times and was wondering what it was. Then I found out about this place by searching for sandwiches nearby. It's definitely a hidden gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place looks clean, and it has many tables inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lady was very friendly, and she greeted me when I walked in. I got their Tuna salad cold sandwich (Reg 6 inch $11.50, or Large 10 inch $14.95) with toasted sourdough and Clam Chowder (small size $4.95) with 3 crackers. All the ingredients were very fresh, and the tuna salad sandwich tasted great. My clam chowder was also very delicious.

This place is truly a hidden gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience of the location really brings a family home vibe as it is family owned.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Always getting the most incredible and attentive service and let me tell you the food is always on point.

Wow -- My Lunch Spot did not disappoint. My partner and I travel from LA to Riverside pretty often to visit family, and we're always on the hunt for new food spots along the way. Traffic was brutal as usual, so we decided to stop earlier than planned and came across My Lunch Spot. After checking out their website and seeing the detailed sandwich photos, we were sold immediately. And what better time to write a quick review than when sitting in traffic. We placed a pickup order for two sandwiches: * The Turkey Club with extra provolone * The Bulgogi Beef Sandwich with jalapeños When I walked in, the ladies behind the counter greeted me right away and had my order ready to go. Fast, friendly service -- always appreciated when you're hungry and sitting through SoCal traffic. I also ordered a combo with a large drink and chips, and tried the Lavender Earl Grey iced tea. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First thing I noticed: the place was spotless. Seriously clean and well kept, which honestly says a lot about a restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now the important part -- the sandwiches. As soon as I opened the Bulgogi Beef sandwich and pulled the pre-cut halves apart, the melted cheese stretched perfectly between both sides. At that point I already knew it was going to be good. And it absolutely was. The jalapeños added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor of the beef. The Turkey Club was equally satisfying. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and made with care. Even the pickles stood out -- crisp, flavorful, and surprisingly the perfect addition to each bite. And one more thing: the Lavender Earl Grey iced tea was really refreshing. Just a heads up, it's unsweetened, but after adding a packet of sugar it was perfect. Safe to say we found a new regular stop on our Riverside drives. Big thanks to the ladies working that afternoon. We'll definitely be back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a cute little place I've never tried![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They got solid sandwiches, great squaw and just my kind of service and staff. I do wish I could stay here overnight at some point just for fun and not for creeps. The veggie sandwich was bomb, filled with all the right layers of fresh crisp greens and boiled egg with cheese. I can't wait to come back and try other vegetarian options!

Service was FANTASTIC We got a beef-bulgogi sandwich that was perfection. And a turkey and cheese.. After our hike this hit the spot perfectly. A must try!

Before even trying the food, the service was great. The staff was friendly, engaging, and helpful since it was my first time there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was also cool, especially with the iconic Lunch Atop a Skyscraper photo from 1932 hanging on the wall as you eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried the egg salad and chicken salad sandwiches, and both were delicious! They have a solid chip selection and even carry Inca Kola! I can't believe I hadn't heard of this place before, but I'll definitely be back--and I'll be bringing my friends!

My Lunch Spot is delicious and spots like these are always a great reminder to choose local :) ! I thought that the prices were affordable and the ingredients seem fresh and handled with care. I got a breakfast burrito (last call 10:15am for breakfast) and it was stellar. I liked how the potatoes were both crispy, yet soft. Service was extremely sweet and friendly, the woman who helped me seemed so kind and her attitude alone is enough for me to return!

YUMMMMMY!!! Now this is what I call a real egg salad sandwich! I had the large egg salad sandwich hubby had the Italian and both were delicious

Veggie delight on squaw, minute egg, add turkey.
    Morgan M.

Talk about a one-of-a-kind sandwich shop. This place is amazing. I've had their Italian on a roll and now their veggie delight (minus egg, add turkey), on squaw, and both have been the best sandwiches I have ever had. Their bread is so amazing and soft. They have two different flavors of fresh brewed iced tea which is a plus for me. To top it off, the people who work there are always so sweet and kind. Run to this place. You won't regret it.

Very pleasant experience…read more Went on a Friday around 6:30 PM. When you walk in, the first thing you see is a waitlist where you write down your name and number. The young woman working immediately acknowledged us before we even finished writing our info down and asked how many were in our party. We said two, and she told us to go ahead and start building our bowls. The concept is pretty cool and very straightforward. You grab a bowl and tongs, then walk through the different sections choosing your ingredients. They had a good variety of veggies, noodles, meats, seafood, tofu, etc. Pricing is by weight at $15.99/lb. Once you finish building your bowl, you head to the cashier where they weigh it and you choose your broth and spice level. The broth selection was surprisingly huge, around 15 options if I remember correctly. I got the Tom Yum broth mild spice, and my girlfriend got the Organic Miso mild spice. We also added jasmine green tea and white rice for $1.99 each. After ordering, they give you a table number and you can head over to the self-serve sauce station while your food is being prepared. The sauce bar had ponzu, sesame oil, soy sauce, sriracha, Tabasco, scallions, cilantro, red onion, satay sauce, shallots, minced garlic, chili powder, chili oil, and more. The soups came out quickly and were served over a live flame at the table, which was a nice touch. Both broths were excellent. Even at mild spice, there was still a pleasant kick. The broth itself had good body and flavor and didn't taste watery at all. Service was also great. The server checked on us consistently, kept drinks refilled, and was attentive without hovering. The restaurant itself is pretty small, maybe around 8 tables, but it felt cozy rather than cramped. Nice interior, comfortable temperature, clean setup, and the vibe was relaxing. They were playing bossa nova versions of 2000s and modern hits which honestly fit the atmosphere perfectly. Definitely a spot I'd come back to. Great value, fun experience, and genuinely good hot pot.

Everything we had tasted so delicious and flavorful, even the side dishes that consisted of kimchi, fish cakes, and some chives. We kept asking for more and the employees were more than happy to keep them coming! For food, we got the bossam, sulungtang, and yukgaejang. The bossam arrived on this grill that kept it warm throughout the meal, which I can appreciate. The sulungtang and yukgaejang were both phenominal and hit the korean comfort food cravings. Get the purple rice!! Not to mention they had deals on alcohol too. I believe $5 for beer and $7 for a soju bottle -- cant beat that in this economy! Definitely will be adding this to my rotation for korean food.

The pork is consistently tender, and the banchan (side dishes) are always fresh and high quality. The braised beef was good, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. It could have been braised longer, and I felt the sauce didn't really penetrate the meat the way it has at other places, so the flavor was a bit lacking. The only real downside was that the older woman working that day was a little short with us. Other than that, the food is consistently solid. Overall, 4/5.
