    Empanada de carne
    Matt S.

Always serving amazing Colombian food. The service here is fast and capable of working through a long line. Seating is available inside. One caveat is they don't speak English that well but their food is displayed where you are able to point at. The pastel de pollos are my favorite. The empanada de carnes pair great with them. The salsa has the perfect amount of spice. The pastries are a must with every order, especially a buñuelo or pan de queso.

    A variety of foods!

I have been coming here for about 15 years! I absolutely love the food they sell. They have a lovely variety of fresh baked breads and Colombian pastries (they accept food stamps for those items). There is also a nice variety of Colombian ready hot foods as well. All served fresh every time. The staff is always friendly, but very limited on their english, which is fine because you can still communicate about the different items. They have a small parking lot in back and tables to dine in, however, I always buy to-go because it is very small and always crowded in there. It is also pretty loud and there are no restrooms which is why I give 4 stars. As far as the food, I highly highly recommend, like I said I have been coming here for 15 years and nevwr have been let down.

Craving traditional, affordable, delicious Colombian food? Look no further, this is the spot to try! Some of my favorites include the papa rellena (fried stuffed potato balls) and the chicharrón (fried pork belly), but also don't forget to try the empanadas, the chorizo, and the blood sausage. And make sure to get an extra large contained of salsa, it's the best in town! Service is kind, attentive, and energetic and ambiance is reminiscent of Colombia. Expect a line as well as a little wait time, but it's worth it - promise!

There is a small parking lot in the back, but I was able to find parking on the residential street down the block which was great. When we went into the restaurant there was a long line of people ordering items. We ordered a few of the empanadas, arepa con choclo, chorizo, and buñuelo. Everything was very fresh and tasted delicious. I definitely recommend checking out this place and picking up a few items. It is an authentic Colombian bakery.

Been coming here for years...then stopped, and now I'm back again! Picked up some flaky filled pastry - super crisp, sweet and yummy. Would get again and recommend. Also picked up some cheese bread. Bread is soft and almost challah-like...but not sweet. Cheese inside is melty and plentiful. Shop is small but thriving at all hours, even now during COVID. Yes parking is annoying and tight but people are usually in and out quickly anyway. Lots of variety and prices here are fair as well. Give this place a try if you are in the area :)

The person behind the counter let me know that their menu changes weekly based on the what ingredients are in season and available. I found the shop tucked away in my old stomping grounds, and when my GPS announced I had arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see it now occupies what used to be a beloved old Italian bakery. There's a small parking lot right next to the well-marked entrance, and their adorable bespectacled cupcake logo makes for a charming first impression. Inside, the space is a nostalgic dream for fans of all things pop culture. The décor spans across countless beloved universes--Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, Pokémon, Mario, and more. Familiar faces like Batman, Spiderman, Thor, and the Hulk line the walls and shelves, giving the whole place a fun and immersive vibe. But let's talk about the real stars: the baked goods. The display at the entrance is packed with eye-catching treats--cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and beyond. Everything looked just as mouthwatering in person as it did in the photos that initially drew me in. In addition to desserts, they also offer cannoli, cinnamon rolls, brownies, breakfast wraps, sandwiches, bagels, toasts, bowls, and a variety of drinks including coffee, smoothies, and iced options. Since I was there for cupcakes, I picked out three flavors: Mocha Cappuccino, Banana Pudding, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana. I only got to try the two banana ones, but both were delicious. The Mocha one smelled heavenly though! A surprise bonus--the cupcakes had fillings, which I wasn't expecting. The frosting-to-cake ratio was perfect, and the cake itself was light and fluffy, yet sturdy enough to hold up the frosting. The owner was super helpful in guiding my selections and genuinely lit up when I asked about the bakery's background and theme. They host themed events too--like an upcoming Star Wars Day breakfast with a buffet, character meet-and-greets, goodie bags, and more. I don't live in the area anymore, so coming back would be a special treat--but I definitely plan to. Getting out of the parking lot was a bit tricky due to the busy nearby intersection, but it wasn't too hard to navigate. A small inconvenience considering everything this place has to offer. Bottom line: this bakery is a delightful, nerdy, sugar-filled gem. A perfect place to treat yourself!

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish.
