So, so happy we decided to look at quartz slabs at IS. We didn't see anything that day but Phil listened and called us when he found the exact slabs we wanted. Since I have to give this a star rating I have it a 1 but if I could of it would be a 0. Went through HD for granite. I've been waiting almost 9 years to get rid of my ugly pink tiles in my kitchen. Everything has been a nightmare. Not only did IS hired through HD have 3 workers come out & destroy my cabinets, they damaged my $1800 stainless fridge. They measured the template incorrectly, I was left with huge overhangs and it's not even placed on my cabinets evenly! Buyer beware! read more

I highly recommend International Stone! Salvatore welcomed my wife and me into the International Stone showroom and treated us like we were family. His expertise and fine eye helped us pick out the perfect granite for our kitchen. Installation foreman Nick and his team came to our house, identified a couple of minor issues we needed to take care of (old cabinet doors & pegboard removal) before he could make an accurate template of our kitchen. After coming back, Nick and the guys (Douglas, Giovanni, and Orlando) expertly made a template of our kitchen. Salvatore then let me help with the layout, (which part of the slab will be my island, etc..) and let me know his skilled, professional team were on the ready. In less than a week I got the call, International Stone was ready for install. Lead installer Douglas is incredible at his job. I doubt there is anything in stone installation this man hasn't seen. Giovanni and Orlando were great too. My countertops are beautiful and we are so glad our neighbor recommended International Stone. read more

Absolutely horrible. Avoid them at all costs. I met with them 3 months ago and they've had a deposit from me (over $6,000) for nearly 2 months. After weeks of telling us they were ready to come they've started not returning calls, not showing up, telling us it would take a few more weeks and then that their machine was broken, then showing up and telling us it will take weeks to fabricate simple (straight) pieces. They are also incredibly rude. It's not clear that Bobby the installer likes customers. read more

Used International Stone through Home Depot for granite installation in my kitchen and bath and would not recommend them. They installed a broken piece of granite back splash and filled in the missing chunk and seam with some grey filler. Seriously, how in the world did they think this would be okay? And what's worse is that they installed the broken piece so getting it un-installed caused damage to the walls. When I called and talked with the manager, Nick, about the broken piece being installed, an apology was never uttered. This has to be one of the most apathetic managers that I've dealt with. They said it would be a while until they could schedule to have someone come back to fix it and this was true, I had to keep calling in order to get it scheduled. When they finally came and fixed it as well as the piecemeal job they did in my bathroom with the back splash there, they smeared silicone everywhere to try to get the torn drywall paper and chunks to stay in place. I called yet again and got the apathetic manager who again, never apologizes and just says 'send me some pictures, we can cut out the drywall, etc'. I'm not sure I want these guys anywhere near my kitchen again - no thank you. On the bright side, I love the granite...but I need to put my home improvement hat on to fix the mess they left. read more

International Stone is the only stop we make when shopping for granite and stone. We first used them in 2014 during a kitchen remodel. Nick and his team have since worked with my parents, my brother, sister-in-law, and 2 neighbors. I couldn't be any happier with the quartz island top we purchased from Nick at International stone. They worked with me and showed me all the options that they had to fit our area - it was an unusual purchase as we needed a remnant and weren't buying a whole slab. Even though we weren't the largest sale of the day, he worked with us like it didn't matter. He was very available through email for me which made things super easy. The price was better than the competitors and the service was hands down the best of all the businesses I contacted. We were able to get a silestone quartz top with ogee edging and it looks super high class. We plan on doing the rest of the kitchen to match in the future, I will be calling Nick and wouldn't even bother to inquire elsewhere. The installers were polite and got the top in place in a jiffy. They left the house/driveway clean and got to the house on time. The whole process from picking the stone to having it installed took less than a week (but remember this was a small job, so if you're having a whole kitchen it may be longer). read more

We made the mistake of going through Home Depot for our granite. We have had nothing but problems with work Home Depot has done. The fact that IS are subcontractors for HD is a huge red flag. I recently went in to see if they could help match the granite they previously installed for a new breakfast bar and was given nothing but attitude. I really hate places that don't value customers ...these people could care less. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Overall, I've liked doing business with International Stone. I engaged with them in early July, following being very seriously scammed by another fabricator (Granite Depot in Saugus, now in Peabody). International Stone was very much aware of my situation and constraints and worked with me -- and my parents, as needed -- to address what was a challenging situation at best. Yesterday, I had two vanity tops installed as well as one hearth. And I must say, they are gorgeous, fabricated with absolute precision. Also, I loved the installers -- especially Rudy! There were two major upsides: 1/ Phil personally helped me select the granite and marble I used in my bathrooms and on my hearth. He has good taste! 2/ Phil and team worked around my hectic work scheduled and regularly took calls from my parents, which probably added some complexity to communications. There were two minor downsides: 1/ It took a long time to get this done. I started engaging July 3 and it's now Aug 27. 2/ I did end up with a backsplash for a vanity that I did not need or want. I stressed this many times to the templater but this request was overlooked (perhaps due to a language barrier). Next step is to get my kitchen counters templated, fabricated and installed. I am optimistic they'll look great! read more

They install my counters in 2010 , one started to run , i called once a week for a month , they said they'd get back to me. No one called left messages with the manager , e- mailed pictures , had words with an employee , didn't expect a warranty having being so long , and him telling me i had a additude after me calling every day for a month , anyone would . I used this company to install granite counter tops. I was happy with them until one of the counter tops started to lift. I called Nick multiple times to schedule a service. This has been going on for 6 month now. No return phone calls, many empty promises. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! No follow through and can't even stand behind their work. I used International Stone through Home Depot. I was told that someone would be out to my house with-in 3 days to measure. three weeks later I was told that the individual was on vacation. Home Depot gave me the number to International Stone. I called them and was lied to and treated like crap. I am really happy that I canceled my order. Our experience at International Stone exceeded all expectations. The quartz countertops installed in my son's condo are stunning. Nick and Phil were always responsive to any questions we had and Jorge who did the templating to the installation crew were professional and extremely courteous. The quartz design my son originally chose was going to take longer than expected but Nick suggested another style which was instock and invited my son to view the piece at their warehouse facility. This place sucks! No wonder they go through home depot. They just showed up at our house unannounced to do the measuring for a template. They left glue all over the counter. They claimed they called us multiple times and emailed to schedule the install yet my husband and I never got any of the voicemails or email. My Home Depot kitchen project involved Int'l Stone being responsible for the granite countertops. The HD contractor did initial measurements & my invoice was based on that. When IS came & measured I was phoned later that an additional 1 sqft was required (ok, what's another $51). Then after the install I noticed that one small shelving unit had an extra long overhang (twice the size of the others). It projected past the stove beside it & I knew many hips would be hit going by. Called the IS folks & no one came out. We were scheduled to go out of town, so figured when we got back we'd get back to it. Flash forward 2 months & I had to get HD in Atlanta involved to get any response. But the work crew blew us off on the 2-5pm appointment. No phone call until Atlanta called them. It's now 6:30pm & they're here & this crew agreed that the overhang was strange & would only take a few minutes to fix... Nothing wrong with the stone, it's pretty, but what a process just to fix one little thing that never should have happened in the first place. read more

I went through Home Depot and got my countertops done. The granite was beautiful and Home Depot used International Stone as their supplier. Everything went well. They let me view the slab last minute. The only hiccup was that they had to come twice because the second piece of granite was too short. They came back within a few days and installed it. After talking to the manager, they said they were sorry since it was a mistake on their part and were cooperative. I'm planning on using them again for my bathroom! read more

My first mistake was going through Home depot for the purchase of our granite counter tops. When speaking to the home depot sales man, he suggested that we purchase the backsplash as well- an additional couple hundred dollars (2nd mistake). Once International stone came to our house to measure he told us that the backsplash would not work because our outlets were too low. He said we would either have to move our outlets up (can't do this because it would cost a lot of money to hire a electrician to come out) or not do it. I called International Stone the next day to tell him we would not be able to do the backsplash. International stone said they would just bring the countertops only for installation. When I tried to get my money back for the backsplash however, international stone said that because it was already pre cut when we ordered it we would have to pay for it! They also said they would schedule some time to bring back the backsplash that they cut...what am I going to do now with those pieces!! I will never recommend international stone or home depot to do your granite counters. There whole scheduling process and customer services is appalling. read more
