I usually avoid doing business with companies that have less than a 4.9-star rating, especially if they have fewer than 100 reviews, and because there are so many to choose from that have that rating or above anyway, so under normal circumstances I probably would have passed on this one. Because of that, I was honestly surprised to log in and see only a 4-star overall rating. Based on my own experience over the past couple of years, I wouldn't give them anything less than 5 stars. That said, my experience has been almost entirely with Kelly, so she's the reason for my rating. Kelly has always been incredibly responsive, follows up quickly, and handles everything accurately. On the other hand, when I've emailed other company email addresses, I haven't received responses. I also once called with a billing issue and spoke with someone else after asking for billing, but my issue wasn't resolved at all, which was disappointing. I eventually reached out to Kelly, and she took care of it promptly and correctly. So my 5-star rating is really for Kelly. If she ever leaves, I may have to come back and update this review because she's been the reason my experience with this company has been consistently excellent. read more

To make a long story a little shorter, Interpacific Asset Management saved our HOA's butt. We had to terminate our existing manager for nonperformance. Our HOA was in a state of disarray, and many of our owners were so upset that they stopped paying their monthly assessments. We brought IAM on, and they worked tirelessly to get us straightened up. Big kudos to Kelly who single-handedly contacted all of the owners who were delinquent and got everyone caught up. Angela worked closely with our attorney to get a large assessment for a new roof voted on and approved in record time. IAM is a great management company. They give excellent service when you call the main #. Kelly will help you with anything! Our property manager, Tania, is wonderful. When it comes to resolving issues, they are the worst and not at all helpful. I've been dealing with a disrespectful neighbor who has been leaving his stuff in my assigned parking spot, where I park daily. Despite MULTIPLE phone calls, emails, video, and photo evidence sent to Interpacific Asset Management to resolve this and put an end to the problematic behavior, they have done little to nothing. The problem has continued, and Interpacific Asset Management's manager responds to my concerns passive aggressively and condescendingly. At this point, I'm not sure what they actually do since they don't enforce their own rules or the safety/quiet enjoyment of the tenants here. Being a positive person, I too have held off writing this review in hopes that things would change. After more than three years, I've come to the conclusion things won't. I have found that Angela O'Donnell and the staff at InterPacific Assets Management (excepting Emily) are extremely uncommunicative, unhelpful and often "pass the buck". Over 90% of my emails and calls have gone unanswered. I'll suggest that any and all of their positive yelp/google reviews are from HOA Board Members not from association members/homeowners having issues with said board. I live in a resident owned mobile home park and many of our HOA members are having major problems with an overzealous, petty and vindictive board of directors (BOD), a board that has members who have held onto control for 30 years, a board that has definitely forgotten it works for homeowners and not visa versa. Though many of us have asked numerous times for a modicum of support and protection from Angela and the staff at InterPacific Assets Management, our pleas for assistance go unanswered. I'm a very long time resident of our mobile home park (1990) and am just one of the many owners personally experiencing our current board's extremely capricious, petty and disenfranchising behavior. We're trying to make some changes via the election system but Angela and InterPacific Management do their best to help the BOD disenfranchise it's owners. Instead of empowering those who are wanting to run for the board and make changes, Angela O'Donnell and her team are doing their best to support the current BOD in their costly schemes to make participation in our next election as difficult and confusing as possible. Especially now, after the recent passage of California State Senate Bill 323 (10/14/2019), Angela and her management company should be calling these failings into question; suggesting proper and fair solutions. Instead, InterPacific Assets Management has allowed our BOD to send out incorrect candidacy forms twice now, both containing blatant violations of the HOA Election Reform afforded by SB323; by their actions it seems they weren't even aware of the new SB323 HOA laws. These election rule violations are prime examples of the wasteful and incompetent behavior Angela O'Donnell and InterPacific Assets Management supports and participates in on a regular basis. Their website states "We recognize that each client, vendor, tenant, homeowner, or employee has a unique contribution to make to our team effort." I have yet to experience this team effort. I live in The Palms in Cerritos as s new resident since June. The upkeep and maintenance is really not suitable for a nice community. The management company does not follow up on resident complaints or concerns the grads was unkept for over a month. The gate was broken and unfixed for close to two weeks. The place need serious repairs and paintings. We complain to the board hired attorneys and called code enforcement to the city. The women who works with usis rude to board members her bosses and treats the residents horribly. The maintenance is absurd but they keep harassing residents on small issues while the community is unkept and filthy. Do not use this management company they are unprofessional and treat the board and residents with no respect. They had a board meeting no agenda or minutes from the March meeting with s full quorum and a closed session where they told me to leave. Angela and her staff have always been professional, courteous, and responsive. This company has hired a utility company out in FLORIDA for a mobile home park in California! My bill I kid you not is in the $3,000.00 mark. My meters have been read wrong for months on ended until apparently October according to Angela O'Donnell my meter readings have been correct since the month of October but nothing else has changed and i'm still getting charged monthly with this utility company around $1,000.00. Angela had asked for copies of my utility bill and I gave her every bit of information possible and as of yesterday 11/25/19 I was sent a letter stating 10 days to pay around $2,000.00 and a $25.00 charge on my monthly assessment. This place has also allowed harassment towards me coming from the maintenance guy they hired and tried to fine me for saying I had harassed the maintenance guy when I have 3 witnesses who saw the whole incident go down. The second incident was with the Vice President who in Spanish yelled profanity at me. Yet neither of them got fined with the " code of conduct policy" this park has. This management company also doesn't make any modification for anyone who is disabled not even when you personally turn in a form asking why and showing why. They've also allowed racism happen when the board committee here told a Hispanic homeowner " if you can't speak English you can not speak here at all" They allowed construction of a solar project happen without giving a proper announcement until the day of where everyone's cars got fenced in. They have been saying this project would be done in 90 days on 8/19/2019 and to this day 11/26/19 the project hasn't finished and isn't expected to be finished until some time in 2020. read more

I have lived at the Palms since June 2006. I've seen a few management companies come and go but this one is by far the worst one. They obviously are on the take with these substandard unprofessional vendors they hire to do maintenance in our community. They even hired a security company that had ex-cons working for the company and all of a sudden we had vehicle break ins and had several homes burglarized. This company clearly has bitten off more than they can chew. All they do is harass residents for the most idiotic reasons. I'm sure the idiots that are on the HOA don't help. Thank God for the few on the board that truly have our community's best interest at hand. I'm hoping we will be replacing them in the near future. I would definitely not rehire this company to manage our complex and warn anyone from even considering them to manage their community. read more

First of all, it's SUPER SUSPICIOUS that all the good reviews are written on or around November 5, 2014.... Interpacific is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with. In my previous career as a real estate attorney, I worked with property managers on a daily basis and found that most property managers were so pleasant and quick to respond to issues. That has NOT been the case with IAM. Mandy Farmer is the property manager that has been assigned to our condo association and she's been terrible at responding to issues in a timely manner. She also has no sense of understanding of the issues affecting condos and fails to think outside of the box (or even in the box, ha). By way of example, our small condo association has had an issue of ants in the common area that are making their way into several units, and Mandy simply responded to my email saying: "Thank you for your emails. Unfortunately, pest control inside the units is the homeowner's responsibility." I emailed her back saying that the homeowners are requesting pest control in the common area (which is the association's responsibility), and over a week later, she's failed to respond in any manner. I often have my friends who are members of HOAs and COAs ask me for referrals and I go out of my way to tell them NOT to use IAM because of their terrible customer service. read more

Alas, a little over a year at our property, and I'm still dissatisfied with Interpacific and our property manager. Emails go unanswered or with prolonged delays. Solutions are slow to implement or poorly made. I understand that there must be multiple properties to deal with, but we choose to do business with IAM, they should hold up their end of the contract. I email my contact Angela and she is very prompt in getting back to me and providing a solution. If there is an issue with my unit, she also notifies me which I appreciate. I've been an owner in our condo building since late 2012 and IAM has provided our association with excellent service. While I can't speak for other property managers, Yas and her team has been delightful and professional to work with. Emails to questions I have are answered in a timely manner ( Less than an hour or in some cases in a couple of minutes!). In addition, when I needed pest control service or have a plumbing issue in my Unit, Yas and her team has our vendor and handyman out within 24 hours or a few days (depending on the service). Recently, I was placed on the board for our association for the past three years and the service has continued to remain the same. This may be due to the fact that they are based out of Orange County and yet are trying to manage a property in East San Diego County. This could also be only a reflection on the manager that I have dealt with as I have not talked to or worked with anyone besides our community manager. Either way, my fellow homeowners and I have started to put together a case to end the contract with IAM. Some of the issues; Delayed problem resolution Lost HOA payments to be mysteriously found 2 weeks later and deposited Customer Service; difficult to get a hold of, not helpful Unprofessional I would not recommend using them.
