I will never go back to the shoe repair store. I've taken several shoes there before had a few issues, but never this major. I only took my shoes in to have the latch replaced on the side because the leather loosened and I wanted to replace it before it came apart. the shoe cobbler suggested which I agree to, that I should replace the soles. when I got my shoes back, they were damaged. You can see the damage all around the side and the front of the shoes. The material was taken apart. He couldn't put it back together properly he put glue. It was missing the rope from the front of the shoes and the side of the shoes when I spoke to him about him, he had a terrible attitude. I will never go back there for any shoes. BEWARE. Do not trust your valuable footwear here. I brought my Lucasse cowboy boots there to be resoled. Horrible work. Nail sticking into my foot. He did half soles, glued. (full stitched soles is correct) In 3 wears glue was coming apart. Nails were showing. To top it off, when I returned to show him, he adamantly DENIED he did the work! We argued. He got very angry. I brought shoes here to have the heels replaced. At that time he did not give a ticket for my pick up. When I went back the next week, I told him that I did not have a ticket, he asked my last name, and gave me my shoes. At that time I had another pair to be repaired. Again he gave me no ticket. My husband was there both times. When returned for the last pair of shoes, I was alone. He kept insisting that he gave me a ticket, and when I tried to give him my name, he told me he was busy to come back later. When I insisted that he give me my shoes, he reached up on the shelf and handed me my shoes. Saying, "relax lady." Both my husband and I think I was mistreated because I am a woman. Dropped off my sons UGGS that needed to be sewn.I paid $15 up front and was told it would take 5 days. When my husband picked them up they were still ripped and exactly in the same condition er brought them. Six months ago, the Interstate shoemaker fixed the soles on a new pair of heels that I wore for the first time to a wedding. Fast forward to Saturday, I wore them for the second time to another wedding and the sole he put on was peeling off both shoes. I brought them back to Interstate today and he denied that he fixed them. He said he didn't even have that type of sole. We went back and forth and he eventually threw me out of the store. He does not stand behind his work. Incidentally, his brother worked there as well, so I suggested maybe he did it. I dropped off a new mens Feragamo dress shoe with scratch on toe for repair. I was charged $30 and upon pick up I saw he only put polish over top as I could have done that myself. "I said this has not been repaired, the scratch should have been buffed smooth first". He became irate screaming for me to pay and leave and to never come back. And I mean SCREAMING with the veins in his head bulging. I am a regular at Rago Brothers in Morristown so this is completely sub par work and treatment. He deserves zero stars. Terrible work. It's one thing to be rude but good at what you do. To be rude and also horrible at your trade is quite something. How he's still in business, I have no idea. I brought him a simple job (slightly loose soles on an older pair of hiking boots). When he finally deigned to come out from the back and speak to me, I asked if he could glue them back. If possible I would like to give the place no stars. My friend brought in a Givenchy bag, that he promised to remove two stains and fix the label. He fixed the label and forgot the stains, and when she mentioned to fix the stains he simply brought it to the back room (from which I could see him) and he sprayed the bag with a black spray paint. He created more of a mess and got black spray paint all over the white lettering of the bag. When we pointed this out he did not take the blame and made it sound as if it was more our fault. He then tried to fix it again with more spray paint, and again he got paint all over. When he brought the bag back again he started throwing stuff around and muttering angrily under his breath. This made us nervous to be in the business alone with him as he became increasingly angry so easily and was throwing things around out of frustration. Instead of taking the blame for the mess we watched him make, he denied it as his fault and simply blamed it on the bag's material (which had nothing to do with him spray painting the bag and getting different colors in the wrong spot). It was an expensive bag that went in with less than minor damages and came out completely ruined. Don't go to him. He is unreliable. read more

I needed a small piece of Velcro put on two purse straps because he originally put them in the wrong spot. He wanted $10 more. When I told him I didn't think I should have to pay, since he made the mistake, he became defensive and told me he wouldn't do the job. Shabby Work and Rude: This shoe repair store ruined my shoes and the merchants of the store are rude. The repair was to glue a portion of the sole back onto the shoe. The side of the shoe was covered in thick glue which wouldn't come off. When I brought this to their attention, they started to speak a foreign language excluding me from the conversation, threw their arms up in the air and dismissed me by walking to the back of the store. The owner of this place is extremely rude. I sent my shoes to this place for fixing the heel and ask the owner to clean it once done. He agreed and charged me $12 for fixing + cleaning. When I picked my shoes, the surface is even dirtier than it was. When I questioned him why he didn't clean the shoes as he promised. He said "this is clean".
