The sandwiches are delicious, the house-made potato chips are nice and crunchy, and there's some great drink options. Plus, there's often live music. It's never been empty when I've stopped in, but I've never had issues with grabbing a table. There are some high seats and tables as well as some lower ones, and self-serve water and drinking glasses in the dining area. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. Service is friendly and it never takes too long for your food to arrive at your table. Old World Deli is in my top 3 sandwich spots in Corvallis. This is a great place to take a friend or a medium-sized (4-6) group of people for a sandwich and perhaps a show. Plus, the ambiance, decor, and painted ceiling are really cool!

The in store order seemed to be made after all the pick up orders they received. We waited what felt like a long time to get our food. My husband opted to not eat because he just couldn't get the customizations he wanted. My son's sandwich did not get cut in half. My sandwich got cut with a knife that was covered in black pepper, so that was on my sandwich. Not the end of the world, but I really don't like black pepper. Their sandwiches still taste good, but it's just not worth it anymore.

The guy putting produce on the sandwiches threw a handfu of peppers into the pickle bin and fished them out, I almost didn't order at that point. I love pickles and hate the flavor of most peppers - bell or otherwise. Haven't tried my sandwich yet, but the root beer is delicious.

The only thing I would change is maybe making it a little whole wheat, or adding some oatmeal or rolled oats to the dough. I'm weird that way. The only hot drink is coffee, which, even though I'm a tea drinker was fine. We split an Americano. my husband had a pleasant chat with the owner/sales person about the espresso machine. There are several nice looking, larger places on either side if anyone wanted something more substantial. If we're ever in the neighborhood, we will come back. I want to try that loaf of cinnamon swirl bread.

The only downside is that the spoons that are provided are a little big for the bowl that you are given, so you are bound to spill a little bit. The staff did a great job getting many orders out in a fairly short amount of time, and based on my meal, they weren't sacrificing quality in the process. The cafe norms are pretty standard for a seat-yourself cafe where you order at the counter, pick up your food at the counter, and bus your own table. I found Bodhi Cafe and Bakery to be exactly what I needed, and look forward to returning.

We grabbed a patio table instead of waiting inside and really enjoyed the atmosphere, though the QR code ordering system made things a little tough when trying to grab extra coffee, water, or ask questions without a server around. The Birdy Mary was solid but landed around a 6/10 for me, missing some of the spice and depth I personally like in a great Bloody Mary, but the hot drip coffee absolutely hit the spot. The food, though, was outstanding. My wife and I split the BLT with crispy bacon and avocado spread, paired with potatoes that were somehow crispy, soft, and packed with flavor all at the same time. Our daughter and son-in-law ordered the "I'm the Good Kind of Fat" special with house-smoked salmon, poached egg, arugula, and avocado on sourdough, and every bite looked better than the last.
