Well, I came in and the staff told me directly to my face they gave it to him HOURS late. They didn't care, they didn't apologize. My dog suffered because of that. Also, a couple customers overheard a staff calling the dog the R word, and staff confirmed management did not care. The Wilm location shut down, the corporate company is clearly trash.

Upon walking in, the Spanish girl at the front desk was NOT friendly AT ALL!! She asked me 3 times inside of 30 seconds what my dog's name was that was being groomed. I don't know if she was tired or what, but it was the afternoon. So, who knows why she couldn't process what I was saying?! All I am going to say is that she was "not there." My every instinct was to take my baby and leave, but I went against my better judgement and let them groom her. When I got my furrbaby back, her hair looked atrocious. Now, I will say my child doesn't like her feet done, but her whole body was so choppy and uneven. I couldn't believe it!! Her ears were still scraggly and uneven! Her belly still had long hair on it that was supposed to be trimmed down with the rest of her body!! It looked like I did her haircut myself!! Professional groomer where?? Also, when they gave her back, they just gave shoved her across the counter and that was that! No receipt! No bandana or anything. Ugh! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! NEVER AGAIN!

1 Star - Pet Supplies Plus (Aberdeen, MD) Dog Wash Station…read more I have been using the self-service dog wash at Pet Supplies Plus in Aberdeen for over five years with my 90-pound Golden Doodle, Aloe. Until recently, I've had a number of poor experiences. Unfortunately, my most recent visits were extremely disappointing. When I arrived to bathe Aloe, I was informed that customers were limited to only two towels because the store's dryer machine was broken. While I understand equipment issues happen, I don't understand why customers should receive less service because of a problem with the store's equipment. Anyone who owns a large dog knows that properly drying them requires multiple towels before using the blower. Aloe is a large Golden Doodle, and I typically use several towels to remove as much water as possible before turning on the dryer. I politely asked for a third towel and was refused. What made the situation even worse was the employee's attitude. Rather than trying to find a reasonable solution, I was essentially told that if I wasn't satisfied with the towel limitation, I could simply not use the wash station and go back home. This was after I had already traveled to the store, carved time out of my day, and prepared specifically to bathe my dog. As a paying customer and someone who has supported this location for more than five years, I found that response completely unacceptable. The interaction felt dismissive, unaccommodating, and lacking any genuine concern for customer satisfaction. Providing one additional towel for a large-breed dog would have been a simple and reasonable accommodation. I was also disappointed by the condition of the dog wash station itself. The store displays signs stating that stations are disinfected between customers, but the cleanliness of the equipment told a different story. The blower nozzle was covered with dog hair. The shampoo bottles had visible hair and residue on them. Hair was present on equipment that customers are expected to handle. The station did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned or disinfected despite signage indicating otherwise. The photos I took speak for themselves. As a customer, I expect three simple things: * Clean and sanitized equipment * Adequate supplies to complete the service I'm paying for * Respectful and accommodating customer service when concerns are raised After more than five years of bringing Aloe here, this was by far the most disappointing experience I've had. Management should take a closer look at both the cleanliness of the dog wash stations and the way customers are treated when legitimate concerns are raised.

I don't understand that because my daughter and I were allowed to pet them also ONLY PLACE I KNOW THAT OFFERS ANYTHING OTHER THAN COMMON ONES LIKE geckos and shit. As we're finishing our time up My heart just melted when I saw an Argentine black and white TEGU! So as we were there for 15 minutes a nice gentleman came over, named PHIL, and offered to take him out and look at him. I said really? Phil said absolutely we just started talking basics.I asked about his diet. He admitted he wasn't sure, and he thinks that he was probably fed rodents to get him so big. I myself, do not do or allow live rodent feedings. So that was concerning, However, he said, he wouldn't either and said he doesn't even really like frozen for reptiles (his knowledge is incredible) but since he thinks he was fed rodents he would show us and make SURE he in fact ate frozen at least because So he got a frozen rat defeosted brought it over and began the process of feeding him to assure us he was good.I told him I had to go to mall though, and he said that's great, why don't you talk it over. Well I went back there Phil was unfortunately gone like he said he would be. Was he a little bit more overpriced then what I could of gotten had I ordered one, yes! But they are a small business who want him to go to good home I know this because Phil was very pleased I was asking good questions I appreciated that so much that he wasn't looking to just "make a sale"I do understand some of the things the pet shop does that people complain and give one star about, such as, the "mice females, being with males for breeding. Well, yea of course they are those mice you see are feeder mice. And to make this price affordable but still profitable they have to do things like that to make the price good for customers. The mice are mistreated The fish tanks are good and clean. Some tanks may not look it but when you put live plants that happens but they also are pretty clean for having such a variety to choose from compared to others which have a small selection and can't even maintain them right. I am an animal lover and hate seeing puppies in a small cage as well. But I also know if they left them running around and such it could cause one getting injured, the cleanliness of the place would t be very good. There are always going to be some flaw with any company. For instance when getting Hades, they offered where you could buy the 40 gallon breeder tank, stand and tegu for $800. The stand and tank alone are worth at least idk a good $400. that enclosure was not wide enough for him really. He needs bigger. I understand having him in there to sell. The problem I had with the situation was that with that deal it allows people to believe it is "ok" for him to actually "live" in that enclosure and with that small heat setup. However, everything else I noticed was great. When I returned after the mall to retrieve him, Katie, another employee, asked if I was there to go ahead and get him. I said absolutely! Now, she didn't talk to me as much as Phil did, and her customer service wasn't as pleasurable. But she wasn't nasty or rude really. It was just different and straight point! But, I know this is long and I hope you made it to the end with an actual detailed review. No just some angry customer who went on yelp to leave a nasty review without knowing anything. Or someone who doesn't understand the true background to pet shops. I don't agree with everything but I learn to understand it. Like for the puppies, supposedly coming from puppy mills, maybe they do, maybe they don't idk personally because I didn't ask, I wasn't there for the puppies. They are cute don't get me wrong but not my gig. However, with that said I understand being mad at them about how they get them. But puppy mills are NOT going to stop EVER! And yes they may sell them for ridiculous amount of money but consider this if you buy a cheaper puppy, you will still have to get all the shots, the vet visits all the medicines as well on your dime. And first time visits for pups can run you like between 800 to 1,500 for the first time. Not even counting the meds they may need. Buying a puppy with them comes with a guarantee It also comes with your first vet visit and any meds. They also mention any possible problems or concerns about their animals. And if there is a problem they ensure they will be ok, animals are dirty sometimes period if ya want one you should know that! But anyways thanks Phil again! You deserve a shout out! Samantha!
