What an incredible (and relaxing) experience! I was able to visit Invita Head Spa over the holidays and it was delightful! The staff was super welcoming, and my technician was very informative with the process before we got started. It was wild to see my scalp up so close! Kind of gross to be honest, lol, but you could def see the difference after the visit. After they take photos of your scalp and do a light neck and shoulder massage you head back to the treatment room for a real treat; dim lights, cozy massage chair, excellent ambiance. You also get a warm blanket and eye mask. They wash your hair and massage your head. I might have dozed off for a few minutes as I am having trouble remembering what else happened during this time! After the treatment you go back to your chair for warm tea & ginger and they take more photos of your new & improved scalp and dry your hair! Would highly recommend and definitely go back! read more

Update* The owner of manager (I can't remember) called me to apologize that the experience didn't meet my expectations. She stated she was going to refund the cost and hoped I would give them another try in the future, after they expand and adjust. That was professional on their part and I appreciate them for reaching out. Emily was very nice and proficient. The reason I gave the experience 3 stars is that I didn't think the 60 minutes spent there was worth the $150 (cost + tip). When I walked into the "spa," it sounded more like a rockin' bachelorette party vs. a serene environment I experienced in other spa settings (the 20 - 25 minutes spent getting my hair washed did take place in a serene room). Because I love scalp massages (and erroneously thought that would be the majority of my appointment), I paid for an additional 10-minute scalp massage to make it even better. To my dissapointment, most of the time I spent there was for taking pics of my scalp and talking about my scalp, having a fountain spray my hair with water while laying in a very strong massage chair (I started off telling her I would like it strong until I realized that the massage bed felt like hard golf balls sliding up and down my body) and ended up asking her to turn it off. The spraying felt good, and there was scalp massage while she shampooed my hair, but other than that, she used a type of brush to massage my head for much of the time spent in the serene room, which, to me, is not nearly as good. This was followed by about 10 minutes of hair-drying. The hot tea waiting for me was a nice touch. The massage, in total, lasted approximately 10 minutes (shampooing and massage). I think that if your expectations are more social, this will not disappoint. However, I was expecting a full pampered approach since this is similar in cost to what I pay for a 90-minute full-body massage. read more

I am so glad that I booked myself a deep scalp treatment as a gift to myself for my birthday. Veronica was friendly and welcoming, considerate and gentle, helpful and professional. She helped me realize that I was using my clarifying shampoo wayyy too frequently. My treatment was relaxing, my hair is so soft now, and my scalp feels much better. The styling of the spa is beautiful and upscale. I would definitely recommend Invita. Bo is incredible and the regular spa treatment was amazing! I paid the extra $20 for an exfoliating scalp treatment because holy moly I needed it. The body massage by the machines was great as Bo did my scalp treatment - the experience was fantastic. The Milton hair products are wonderful too! I bought he $100 membership for a year which gets me a free regular scalp treatment for my birthday and 20% of the Milbon products at any of their locations. I left with 5 Milbon products, a complimentary car vent diffuser that has my car smelling like a spa, and a deep appreciation for Bo and super clean and refreshed scalp. I was so curious about this treatment and was so excited to finally experience it. I did a basic scalp treatment, arrived about 10 minutes earlier and they were able to get me in. I was welcomed by Brenda, she explained the process, you pick a scent first for the should massage before the treatment. If I remember correctly, they have orange, lavender, peppermint and another one and a mix of all. I was then assisted by Ariel after picking my scent, she asked me some questions about my hair care, she did the shoulder massage so good, so gentle yet relaxing. She also took a photo of my scalp, some buildup but totally normal. After that, we went to the treatment room. There is a massage chair/bed you lay on then the start the scalp treatment. It was a little sensory overload at the start because the massage bed is in hard pressure then they are also massaging your scalp, it was a little hard to relax at first but I calmed down after a few minutes. The scalp massage/treatment felt so nice, after that they take you back to the chair and blow dry your hair. Hot tea and some ginger candy was waiting for me when I got out, which was a nice touch as well. My hair and scalp felt so clean and light, my hair was so soft all day and the next day too. Cool head spa! I saw my friends post on IG and wanted to treat myself and my MIL. My friend also got me a gift card. The place is in Vista, off the main strip. It's a pretty small building. We both got the deep scalp massage. Had some trouble with determining what their definition of long hair and thick hair. Called and they explained that long hair is length longer than bottom of your chest. And thick hair is coarse hair, not full hair. They take a scalp pic before and tell you a bit of what they see. Then they use this little comb to loosen your scalp and you get sent to the room with the massage chair and hair wash. They wash and massage your head while the massage chair massages your body. It was relaxing. The room was a small room, dark with lights and zen music. It wasn't cold as someone mentioned, temp was right. Felt good and relaxing. They bring you out and retake the photo to compare. Then they dry your hair and put on some products. My hair felt so soft and it smelled good for days. You get green tea and ginger candy. It was good. For some reason I thought the place was bigger and more luxurious from pics, but felt a bit cramped. But overall, good experience. I was really excited for a headspa to open up in vista. Went on a Saturday at noon. You get to choose a scent (but to be honest, it doesn't play a huge role in your experience). Then you sit down for your before pictures and you "shoulder/neck massage". This part was pretty disappointing as it was maybe 30 seconds of massaging. Then you go into the treatment room and sit in a full body massage chair. If you don't like massage chairs you won't like this. It was a little intense and not super relaxing. The hair wash was nice and they do scrub your head and massage your temples. After about 40 min, you go back out to get a blow dry and after pictures. They do give you ginger and tea which was nice. Overall if you are looking for something local, I would give it a try, otherwise might be worth the drive to the ones in orange county. read more

Had an appointment at noon for the basic scalp treatment and paid extra because I have thick hair (online shows it as $15 and 10 min more than the regular) while my sister had the regular scalp treatment. We arrived a few minutes before our appointment and were asked to pick a scent for aroma therapy and were offered water while we waited for our provider. We were called back around 12:10 and they took pictures of our scalp and asked about our current hair care routine. Then they had us smell our scent, gave us a very brief (maybe 3 minutes?) shoulder/neck massage then tucked some plastic into our shirts so our shirt wouldn't get wet. This differed from my last head spa experience where I was asked to undress from waist up and given a wrap so that I could have a proper neck/shoulder massage which sadly didn't happen here. All treatments are in a common room with automatic massage chairs. I found the chair to be slightly uncomfortable and actually had to ask for the pressure to be adjusted because it squeezed my legs painfully. The provider did clean my hair well and at times a nice head massage was given. Afterwards, I was taken back to the station where I was offered candied ginger and green tea. They took more pictures which did show an improvement in my scalp and they attempted to dry my hair under a stand dryer (it was probably 85% dry when I got out of the chair around 1:10). The employee said that I should try to go as long as possible without washing my hair to let everything soak in and said some people wait 4-5 days but after 48 hours my hair was definitely in need of a wash. Overall if your main goal is to have a good scalp exfoliation you might enjoy it here but if you are looking for a super relaxing/pampering experience I think there are better options. My total with tip was $160 which felt pricey for what was essentially a good shampoo. Pros: The salon felt clean and the staff was friendly. I appreciated that there was no aggressive attempt to upsell me. Cons: I found the massage chair slightly uncomfortable and the hand neck massage was too short. read more

My friend and I were always wanting to try a place like this. We went here because they had a deal during the month of March for $30 off any service. It was a nice experience and we both felt pampered and our hair felt so soft and clean. The only thing that ruined the experience was when we were paying after the service. The lady who helped us said she was the manager. We both felt that we overpaid but had already left the business. My friend called the next day and they explained how we were charged. Not worth the price. If you've ever been to a nice spa you will not be impressed with the services here. A friend and I booked belated Mother's Day treatments and were so excited to try this place. We arrived a few minutes early for our 3p booking, picked our aromatherapy scents and were offered waters and to have a seat. 3:15 rolls around and we are still waiting, no water ever came. We finally get seated in the very public area to have our scalp assessed. After that we were given a very mediocre 5-10 min (10minutes is being generous) neck and shoulder massage. After that we were escorted to the back for the hair washing. My treatment was supposed to take 20 minutes longer than my friends but we were done at the same time. They put a protective cover on your back to prevent getting wet but somehow my entire back ended up wet with water. My friend's water halo turned cold at the end of her treatment and never got hot again. The girl apologized and said it happens at the end of the day. One positive is the actual products they used made our hair feel and smell amazing for a solid 3 days but if you add any product to your service you're at close to $300. The products are not cheap. Needless to say, I will not be back to this place. Between the late start, shorting out service time, the cold water and wet back, this is a no. They are charging a premium for a service that feels rushed and anything but luxurious. I have no problem paying top dollar if you're giving top dollar service but from the beginning, this was anything but. read more

Definitely not worth the money I paid $188 for the "anti hair loss" package Thinking it was going to be a relaxing experience like other head spas I've been to and there was nothing relaxing about this experience. I will name things I had issues with 1. I got a weird vibe as soon as I walked into the place, the girl working the front desk is very unpleasant. Very stone faced and acted like she couldn't be bothered. 2. She asked if I wanted water I said yes but never got the water lol 3. The set up of the location is very odd, they start you off in this room that's right off of the lobby and is only separated by a sheet hanging from the ceiling, so everyone in the lobby can hear all about your scalp and while you are supposed to be " relaxing " you can hear everyone in the lobby talking loudly & the front desk girls talking. Also they have the washer and dryer right next to you so the whole time someone was coming in and out using the washer and dryer and it was very loud. 4. Usually at other spas they have you take your shirt off and wrap in a towel for message so that's what I was expecting.. I was wearing a t shirt and I thought my message was going to be in the dark where I could relax but the girl gave it to me in the same chair where they take your scalp photo next to the lobby, brightly lit. She puts a bunch of oil on her hands and starts to message me under my shirt around my neck down my shirt on my back.. ruining my shirt getting oil all over it. Also I paid for extra massage so "20 mins" she said she was going to split it up.. but the 10 min massage in the chair was only maybe 4 minutes long lol if that So definitely not worth the "extra 10 minutes massage" 5. She takes me back to the room in the dark that has idk 6 or 7 other beds, I thought I was going to be in my own private room but they have everyone in the same room.. so each time a new person comes in it interrupts your relaxation 6. The bed they have you lay on is extremely uncomfortable, it's a very hard and lumpy cheap message table, so the whole time I was laying down I was uneven and my pelvis area was lifted the whole massage.. the massage table only massaged your butt down just a very odd experience. 7. She was very rough with my head nothing about this experience was relaxing, she was digging into my scalp, pulling my hair with her gloves, knotting my hair up when she would scrub, every tool she used in my hair would snag my hair and rip it out, it hurt so bad 8. The second massage was just a 5 minute facial massage that didn't feel good at all, also hurt 9. The water was ice cold 10. They give you this eye mask that's suppose to be warm but mine was cold and smelt weird 11. There was a 10 minute period where she just left the room and let the water run on my hair... I was very confused by this.. Idk if she had to use the restroom or what? Very odd 12. They put a tarp thing around your neck so your clothing doesn't get wet but after I got up my whole back was soaked... another reason why they should have you take your shirt off..... 13. I never got the oil treatment for my hair that they said I would get 14. At the end they take another photo of your head and my photos looked exactly the same as the before ones lol 15. They try to sell you their products that are $$$$ and when I declined them her attitude changed right away Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone, and will definitely be going elsewhere which is a bummer this place was so close to my home. I've experienced over 7 different head spas from Las Vegas, San Diego, and Orange County. Unfortunately, this one is my least favorite for two main reasons: the number of services and the price. My mom, sister, and I each received the Signature service for $168. It was basically a deep hair wash with extra serums. I would rather drive to Garden Grove or Westminister to experience 10 other head spas for a fraction of the cost that has way more services included, like a facial, face mask, hand-arm- upper back- shoulder-neck-face massage, and even feet at some... and all for under $150. I suggest that the owners try out their competitors as we will not be returning. Top 3 head spas in Orange County that we have visited more than 2-4 times: 1. VN Beauty 2. Vhead Spa 3. Consider some things before you go. NOT pregnancy or tall people friendly. @ the end, my hair felt clean and I didn't wash it for 3 days after (they recommended at least 2) and it still felt nice and clean with low oil production. However- the experience was not great at all. For the heft price tag of $153 (long hair) I would have preferred to opt in for an a La cart deep conditioning at my hair dresser. How it works: upon check in they ask you what kind of essential oil you want incorporated and they give you 4-5 options. You then sit and wait for your provider to come grab you. They do a hair assessment and take 2 before pictures, give you instructions, then give you a scalp scraping with this fine comb you get to take home after. Then they take you into the treatment room which is dark and you lay in a massage bed while you do your treatment for about 45 min. After they blow dry your hair and do after photos before sending you off. They did provide warm tea and candied ginger after. They also give you a light massage before bringing you into the treatment room and in the treatment room and mine and my husbands were non existent. I pet my dogs with more pressure than we got from them. I am 5'4 and 8 months pregnant and my husband is about 220 and 6'3". Despite being obviously pregnant, there were no accommodations made for me. I struggled to lay on the massage bed which was totally flat and concave in the middle. Imagine a massage chair with the round massage balls but you're lying directly on top of it which is actually not comfortable at all. On the end of the bed at two slots for your legs and they are calf massagers. Despite being on the shorter side. My feet stuck out pretty significantly which was uncomfortable because it dug into my mid calf and I couldn't feel the massage. I also was not able to lay flat because of being pregnant and the way the bed was positioned, my stomach started creating a cone. Again, no adjustments were made. The bed was then turned on and even when I asked for a "kneading" only option, the bed still made a combo option and shook me pretty aggressively so I had to tell them to turn it off. I then had to put my knees up and try my best to position myself on the wide on these rocks essentially for the remaining 45 or so minutes. My body was sore afterwards. The entire time I could not focus on the treatment or my head being worked on because I was so uncomfortable. I don't actually think I fit in the bed despite being pregnant so I don't think I would have been comfortable had I not been pregnant. My provider also was not careful with the water or with the treatment. From the beginning she went through the motions and forgot to tell me some things about the treatment and when the girl working on my husband would say something, mine would respond "what she said." Before taking me back she was told to put blankets under my back because of my belly and it did absolutely nothing. During the treatment my provider would say wash my hair off and she sprayed water all down my back not once but 3+ times. My whole back was soaked and she spent more time blow drying my shirt than my hair at the end. My husband: his feet completely hung off the bed and calf slots and touched the ground. His body was in a forced arch and he told me that his back was really screwed up after. There was a portion of the treatment where they scrubbed your scalp and he said it was extremely painful. He also asked them to turn off the massager because it was so hard on his body. He complained about back pain for 2 days after. I did bring this to the attention of the front desk before I left and was offered a 50% refund, but I honestly think that even that wasn't enough. As a side note: when I was at the desk telling them my concerns a daughter/mother trio had just complained that their treatment was running extremely behind and a customer on the phone was getting a discount for a bad experience they had. The front desk lady said "I'm sorry that happened, we've given you a discount." read more
