Very cute spot to grab a meal cozy vibes and friendly atmosphere you can even work from home in there. I was excited to try it after seeing a few TikToks and reading good reviews, but honestly the food just didn't hit for me. The mimosa and the green drink were both solid, but my pancakes were thick and a bit too heavy and I don't remember the eggs bacon or potatoes. My cousin enjoyed her avocado toast and salad, though! Would I come back? Probably for the mimosa, but that's about it.

10/10 experience! I enjoyed this little hole in the wall! The food was so good and fresh, even my drink! I would recommend this place to anyone! I will say it was a little small be prepared to feel cramped but other than that. I LOVE THEM!

Came with a group of 4 on a friday and was seated and seved very fast. Food was fresh and came fast as well. We all ordered the cheese steak which was okay didnt really like the taste of the meat but it was cooked fresh and the workers were nice

Beware of sneaky waiters. I wish I could give this place a good review, but the final service event was a total downer. My girlfriend and I had brunch here for the first time on a lovely Friday morning. The food was delicious and the service (while we were eating) was delightful. The prices were reasonable, typical for NYC ($17 omelette, $17 waffle, $8 fruit). Definitely not a deal, but okay for the experience and area. When it was time to pay the check, I was fully prepared to give a good tip based on our experience, 20-25%. However, the waiter ran the tab and already put in a 30% tip. $18 on a $52 tab! There were only two of us (not a large party) and even a large-party included tip would have been more like 18%. When I reviewed the bill and asked about it, the waiter said he included the tip and gazed back with a "what are you going to do about it?" smile. This final exchange was extremely disappointing and we will not be back.

So if I could give a place 0 stars I would. I didn't realize until I was already home that I was overcharged. I only had packages ($17) steak and eggs ($21) and jasmine tea ($4) and my total came up to $71 which doesn't add up. And I also realized that they were making certain people pay at the counter versus giving others a chance to pay at their table with a receipt given. So beware and pay attention to your bill. I also tried calling to see what happened and I was told I was speaking to the manager but once I told them my issue they told me to call back in 2 hours

I discovered Harlem Cafe by chance when I needed a spot for a virtual meeting, and it turned out to be the perfect find! I spent nearly two hours on a Saturday afternoon enjoying the great atmosphere, good music, and excellent service. I ordered a smoothie and a crêpe--both absolutely delicious. I also took home the Harlem Chicken and Roasted Salmon for dinner, and they were exquisite! This place has quickly become one I want to return to every week. Highly recommended!

Amazing service. Loved the Egg sandwich and the home fries. The chef was fun to watch him get all the food made. Fun music. Good seating for our family of 5.

The cafe is a fair size and offers indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating area is small and has shaded and unshaded options. The servers were very welcoming and personable, however once they serve you, they peer at your table but don't actually come over to receive any requests or help you unless you wave them over or get up to go get them. The menu options are great, however they have some items on the menu that are not available. I ordered an unavailable item and waited for my order and later was told they don't have it. I ordered the waffle with fresh fruit which was recommended and was nearly $20 and even though I don't eat waffles, the waffle itself was great however the plating was confusing. I had a waffle with no butter and no offer of butter, fruit that was not fresh including few strawberries, few blueberries, few banana slices, and lots of cantaloupe. My plate also had lots of powdered sugar and hard crunchy granola, which I was confused about. My roasted potatoes that I ordered as a side that were $8 were good, but there was no ranch when requested because they don't have it. The pastries cheese danish was yummy but the danish with something green was not pleasant and I cannot discern what the green substance was because there's no way it was spinache and tasted as if it had mint. I wish I had seen the flies swarming the pasties before ordering them. Overall everyone enjoyed their meal and the servers when they showed up but we would not likely come back.

What a cute lil spot! I came in on a Sunday after church with one of my church members, and I must say we had such a good time. We walked in at the perfect time, as we were able to snag the last table for two. It's a cute and Kuwait spot and I was happy to see that each table was packed with patrons who genuinely look like they were enjoying themselves. If I'm correct, the owner of Ponty Bistro owns this place as well, so I knew I was in for a delicious meal. The menu is composed of great breakfast and lunch selections. My church friend said that she had been before and out of all the things that she's eaten, everything was delicious so I couldn't go wrong. We decided to do breakfast. She did let me know in advance that the waffles were really sweet, but she also let me know they were really good. I picked the waffles, she picked the pancakes, and we both got turkey bacon on the side. She also got a side of eggs, they just weren't pictured. Both the waffles and pancake came with the cute fruit salad, which I thought was a nice touch. The waffle was indeed really sweet, although they did offer syrup. I really didn't need it at all. But they were absolutely delicious. I don't even think it was the powdered sugar that did it, I think the waffle itself was just made with a level of sweetness. The turkey bacon was cooked perfectly. I'm not a fan of the eggs, but my girlfriend really enjoyed them. We both also noted I t's great that the eggs were pretty bare, and the sense that they let people individually add their own salt and pepper to it. Each person has a different preference with that, so leaving it up to the individual as always a safe bet. Maybe because it was Sunday, maybe because it was Harlem, but it was cute to see that as there was only one bathroom, people waiting in line ended up talking to patrons at other table, mixing and mingling as they waited. They had a Philly cheesesteak on the menu, which looked absolutely delicious as I saw another patron order. I definitely will be back and I'm also looking forward to trying their breakfast juices, teas, and maybe next time I'm mimosa or two.

Really enjoyed my brunch here at this neat cafe. Even though it was a weirdly slammed Sunday, the services was on point and the food was delicious! I ordered the mushroom omelette and my dining partner got the bagel and lox. My partner like the bagel and lox, it was balanced and quite tasty. She also really enjoyed the side greens as well. I was really happy with my omelette - perfectly cooked mushrooms and lots of yummy cheese. The potatoes were also quite good as well and were leveled up with the hot sauce. Coffee was great and couldn't be happier with this great place! Will keep in my rotation of breakfast spots when up with Harlem.

Have walked by this place a million times and with friends in town, finally decided to stop in. Arrived around 2pm on a Wednesday and there were just three tables there and plenty of staff with amazing service. Started off with mimosas and sadly they only had regular, OJ and champagne...so I would have prefered another flavor but these did not disappoint. Not sour at all and were on the sweeter side. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the egg sandwich with bacon. Both were delicious, we ate every last bit and didn't leave anything. Glad I finally stopped in as this will be a quick staple for the neighborhood, and I'd love to try other things on their menu. The service was also great with the food coming out hot! So hot we both had to give it a few to cool down. The restaurant was clean and modern with a single stall restroom that was also clean.

This is a place to find rare beer not ordinarily seen elsewhere. This was my first visit and I must have walked past Harlem Hops innumerable times along Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard in Harlem. This time I caught myself walking past on a beautiful Saturday with a five second delay and turned around and walked into Harlem Hops. Initially I thought I'll have a beer and keep it moving. I ordered a canned Hefeweizen, Deep Fried Highlighter Hefeweizen. Yep, that's the name and it was great. It supposed to have a banana note, but that was barely detectable. The clove note was there and it rode the top of this summer Hefeweizen nicely. Given this is one of the canned beers, they may have this anytime. Then I had American Pale Ale on tap, another great choice for a summer day: crisp, refreshing, cloudy light amber in color and unfiltered reminding you of a Hefeweizen. It has a slight citrus fruity flavor to my palate. There are sixteen taps. The taps change with the kegs, the season and what the owner sources from local breweries and beyond. Meanwhile, I'm having good conversations with folks who are regulars and the woman behind the bar, giving great recommendations. I forget the woman's name, but she is great. You can sample whatever they have on tap. She is good at understanding your taste profile and making recs. They also have a limited food menu. There is a backyard patio or garden and one can sit outside in front on the sidewalk. The dark interior is nice and cool on a summer day. The bathroom was clean as well. Four stars!

The bartenders often have a weirdly grouchy "bro" energy that makes you feel like you're bothering them just by ordering a drink. Last fall, one guy was even playing music that sounded like a Christian radio station. The lyrics literally had the word "Lord" in them. It felt less like a neighborhood bar on the UWS and more like I'd wandered into a roadside bar somewhere in the Bible Belt. Another bartender always seems completely checked out. It's hard to flag him down, so we end up sitting there with empty drinks until he eventually notices. On our most recent visit it was a beautiful day outside, but we decided to sit inside since we were planning to order a bunch of food and settle in for a while. The basement was musty and dark and all the windows were shut. We politely asked if they could open a window or turn on the AC for a bit just to air it out. The response was a flat "No." That was it. When we asked why, he said if he did that someone else might complain, and then he just walked away. He kind of just waived us away, it was the weirdest interaction. That was the last time we overlooked the attitude. We normally like to hang out and spend $120-$150 here, but at that price we don't want to feel like we're an imposition.
