Calabrese is a wonderful option for a large party or small event! My friend's hosted a going away party for me here and we had such an amazing time! We utilized the private dining room, which was the perfect amount of space for around 10 people. The staff were so friendly and very attentive throughout the evening! For Apps, we got the focaccia and the bruschetta. Both were decent, but nothing mind-blowing! For mains, my friend and I split the Le Calabresi Impossibili and the Porcini Ravioli Burrata special. Both were absolutely delicious and I'd eat them again in a heartbeat! Our waiter was very kind to cut slices of the cake that my friends ordered for the party. Thank you for such a memorable evening!

Came here for Valentine's day with a reservation and still waited about 30 minutes before we were seated. Pretty disappointing to me when these places overbook for busy nights. Ambiance inside is very nice, I like the second level and the different seating areas they have. The food was quite disappointing. I recall liking the meatballs (not pictured), but the risotto with braised beef was pretty unimpressive. It wasn't the most tender meat, and the risotto was also sort of grainy (all risotto may be like this, it's not something I've ordered much before). The bombolini (doughnut holes with nutella) were a fitting end to the experience - they tasted either burnt, cooked with old oil, or both. They were pretty much inedible. I didn't think a restaurant could mess up a doughnut hole and nutella, honestly. So, overall, I cannot personally recommend this place at ALL, especially on a busy night.

It had been too long since we've had a proper date night, so we finally decided to go all out for Valentines Day and ended up having a wonderful time. Before our reservation, we sat at the bar to take advantage of the HH menu. I ordered the calamari to snack on while I had a couple of cocktails. I will say the HH cocktails are just okay but really paled in comparison to the regular drinks. The Old Fashioned and French 75 were not great, but the Paper Plane was amazing. When we were seated at our table, we ended up ordering the Caraccio D'Antilope (app), Bucatini Allo Scoglio, Orecchiette Alla Calabrese and the Ossobuco. Was it a lot of food? Maybe. Don't judge us. We also ended it with Vanilla Bread Pudding. What did I just say about judging us? And although by the time the entrees came out, I was plenty tipsy and had already taken a crazy number of selfies in their bathroom using their amazing full-length mirror (seriously, I want that mirror), I was still able to focus on how good all of the food was. The seafood in the bucatini was simply amazing. The ossobuco was seriously fall-off-the-bone tender and paired perfectly with the gorgonzola polenta. And the orecchiette had the perfect amount of marinara and Italian sausage. Family-style is the best way to go here. And you know what, the leftovers the next day still tasted amazing. Really excited to go back to this place soon!

Celebrated our little girls 12th birthday! It was our first time here. Make sure you make a reservation. Place was jam packed. Valet parking available. Cute vespas for decor. Staff is very attentive. Food was delish. Herbs and veggies are fresh from Roanoke they said. Mediterranean sea bass is delish! $$$. Great place for good occasions.

This is a wonderful dining experience. We made a reservation and were seated right away. Our waiter was incredible! He explained the name of the restaurant, educated us about their house made olive oil and Jalepeno pepper sauce. It was such a great engagement. We ordered calamari to start, a few bottles for the table! I love the purposeful service, it encourages conversation and dining experience. Our drinks arrived quick, as well as the house made bread. I am generally not a fan of focaccia bread, but it was surprisingly good. The sourdough was sliced thick and went tremendously well with the garlic butter. We ordered three dishes, OSSOBUCO DI MAIALE CON SCALOGNO ARROSTO E POLENTA, CIOPPINODI MARE, and RIGATONI CON POLLO---INCREDIBLE!!! Everything we had was amazing!! Too Notch!! We had to try the desserts, because why not!! They did not disappoint. We ordered three to sample as a table! Carrot Cake-Amazing! Almond Pear Cake-Phenomenal! Banana Cheesecake Wrap-Extraordinary! I ordered the calabrese cappuccino as well and it was perfection! The decor inside is incredible! The entry had a beautiful tree, and fall decor that was very welcoming. Very elegant and warming. We sat on the patio, its enclosed and was the perfect temp. Even as other tables were filled, we had a lovely conversation with ease. We will 100% be returning, everyone was so kind and hospitable, I would not change one thing about our experience! Even when we were leaving, the hostess offered to take a picture in front of the tree. Such a lovely evening!

Beautiful restaurant. The ambiance really shines from the bar to enclosed patio, indoor dining and restrooms. Italian food is good, it doesn't knock your socks off or stand out but competently prepared and pleasant. Similarly the cocktails met expectation. The service is exceptional and matches the high expectations set by the grandness of the restaurant. It's a great spot for a relaxed meal and wine with friends or a date night where conversation and comfort take precedence.

I had higher expectations for food and service. After thinking about it, nothing really jumped out as spectacular. Sure they had good ambiance, and good waitstaff, but the food as good as it was presented, felt a little kick was needed. Had the Osso Bucco but pork. It was good and tender, but I have had better I feel. And also a better choice of meat would have been veal. Otherwise, it's good. I think trying once may help. In my case, maybe some other time.

Perfect night for our 51 Anniversary! Jeremy was awesome. Everything wonderful, service, atmosphere and food. It had been a couple years since we had been and regret not coming back sooner. For desert we had the tiramasu, but I'm a carrot cake fan and wow was that was probably the best I've ever had! The wines were half off under $200 bottle so that really helped had a Brunello that was fantastic. Thank you again for making our special event memorable

We stumbled in in here, quite by accident, as we were coming home from DFW and waiting out a major traffic issue on 287. What an amazing place!! Service: impeccable. The staff work together as a genuine team to ensure a pleasant experience for each and every guest. Food: I'm pretty sure I left 20 pounds heavier. And worth every bite!! They have gluten free, vegetarian, and whatever other dietary restrictions you may have. I restricted nothing and ate everything. Dining experience: warm, dark, candle lit, white tablecloths, intimate tables, cozy, immaculate, and all the things. This may have to be a new favorite spot!!

Calabrese is one of my favorite restaurants. I have been for celebrations for my birthday and anniversary, as well as just a meal with friends. I recently had lunch for the first time, at Calabrese. The food was just as delicious as it is at night. There is a smaller menu, which makes it a little easier to decide, but there are still hard decisions to make. I had the Casereccie Pollo. It was the perfect lunch. We also got the bread service. Service, as it is at dinner, was excellent. Our table was checked on at the just the right times. The restaurant is always relaxing and the noise level is low. It is a beautiful restaurant. We did not have wine at lunch, but they have an extensive wine list with excellent wines to choose from. The bar is always a nice place to start, with a delicious cocktail. I am looking forward to a happy hour on the patio in the near future.

Came to their Valentines Day Prix Fixe menu with reservations. It took over half an hour after our reservation time to be sat which was very upsetting. The entrance of the restaurant was packed with many frustrated diners (and frustrated hosts) and they clearly heavily overbooked for the holiday. We got sat on the upper floor in their windowed area. Once we were sat service was very good and fast. We had the meatballs, calamari, lobster squid ink pasta, bombolinis, and hazelnut cake. Overall the meal was delicious and the portions were generous. I was especially impressed by the number of lobster tails in my pasta. Only major concern was that the bombolini tasted overcooked and savory, as if they were fried in old oil from their other menu items. Besides that we had a very nice dinner and the inside of the restaurant is very pretty and elevated. I would say this is a great date night option, just not for major holidays.

    Beautiful Ladies in attendance.

Calabrese provided an excellent experience for our Fraternity Founders' Day celebration. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, the facility was perfect, and the ambiance was first rate. Special thanks to Heather and the entire staff for their professionalism and attention to detail. On behalf of the Arlington-Grand Prairie Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., thank you for helping make our celebration memorable. Highly recommended.
