I have always enjoyed watching a movie and having dinner at this iPic location, until last Friday. Not once were we informed of the remodeling occurring that led to half of the menu being omitted; no price differences for a small selection of appetizers, entrees, and dessert. The seasonings for the popcorn were not even available. We decided to order the "Prime Rib Sandwich" ($20 ea.), since we had already spent the $ on the tickets. The menu failed to mention that this sandwich would come out cold and in a takeout box reminiscent of what you would get out of desperation from an airport kiosk. We exited the theater without touching our food and informed the manager that the experience was not what we were expecting from iPic and requested compensation for our food. The manager was extremely unapologetic and frankly seemed annoyed about our polite complaint, as if we were the ones creating an inconvenience. After belittling our complaint by saying we, "should've been informed twice," on our way to the theater, the manager reluctantly tried to get in touch with his server (who was fabulous) and told us he would retrieve us from the theater once the bill had been edited. After 30 minutes, we walk out to find them both occupied with other things. The food was comped, but not the tickets we bought for a movie we weren't able to enjoy. Absolutely no effort made to rectify the experience or entice us to return. iPic's reputation is that of a luxury theater and its prices reflect that - you would expect to have a luxury experience, or, at the very least, be accommodated when it falls short. I solemnly write negative reviews, but this was an appalling experience and I would be hesitant to patronize this theater anytime in the near future. read more

Spent over $100 on tickets and food here just for the AC in theater 7 to be broken. I asked someone if it will be fixed (hoping for some sort of refund or accommodation) and they said oh they just fixed it, it'll be on shortly... for the whole 2 hour movie it never turned on and was so hot. They even had a small fan blowing right when u walk in making it look horrible. They could have at least shut down that theater because the building was still ventilated. Or moved our theaters. No one answers the phone. There is no refund policy anywhere on the website or in the email. I've never had this issue at Cinemark there app and changing dates is so easy. So I look in the reviews to find out I'm not the only one who has had this issue and the other person had to jump through hoops only to be given false information and they had to file with bank to get their money back. I was told my credit card charge did not go through, I told the clerk I've had this issue before at their location and that when this happened before and the charge did go through the 2nd time I ended up getting billed twice. He ensured me the first charge did not go through and that this would not happen. Sure enough it did. And just like last time trying to reach someone at Ipic is almost impossible, their phone rings, your put on hold then get a message. My boyfriend and I were here earlier to watch the Avengers movie (3 hour long movie). I've never been to a IPIC before and he has only been once years ago. I thought it was really nice inside including Tanzy. I believe our waitress was named Basty and she was fantastic. She was so friendly and very attentive. My boyfriend got the fried chicken and I got the chicken quesadilla. Both were very tasty! I enjoyed the free unlimited popcorn and comfy seats with the blanket too. My first experience with IPIC and I'm super spoiled. First things first, the entrance is located inside the Tanzy restaurant which is amazing!! I purchased the premium plus seats which were very comfortable. Reclining seats with a pillow and blanket. (How fancy!) We were given complimentary popcorn (which if i knew, i wouldn't have ordered so much food!) The menu has a nice selection. Unfortunately i wasn't able to take photos of it, but i ordered the buttermilk chicken (like chicken tenders) and the filet sliders for my boyfriend (since I'm not a steak person) and both came with fries. The drink menu from Tanzy is also offered inside large size soft drinks. I'm disappointed i couldn't hold any food to order the s'mores cake for dessert. I've had the pleasure of experiencing iPic several times with friends, and it is nothing like your typical movie theatre experience. It's actually more comfortable than watching a movie in the comfort of your own home. The theaters provide very limited seating to provide a comfortable and spacious atmosphere. The chairs are large and comfortable, and appointed with a spacious table, a blanket and pillow, and it reclines to (apparently there are seats that do not recline, but I haven't experienced those). Complimentary popcorn is served with free refills, and a full menu including a large selection of beverages. Service is wonderful and prompt; you can order pretty much anything you'd like. The french toast sticks are yummy, the bacon is wonderful, and champagne with just a splash of OJ hit the spot. All the luxury does come at a pretty steep price...but it makes going to the movies oh so pleasurable! Oh, and the bathrooms are also super nice! read more

We were in the area for a week long vacation, and we came to iPic twice! We bought our tickets online, and we were amazed by this theater, so much so that we had to go again. What we loved: - Location, it's right above a trendy Italian restaurant - Bathrooms almost too beautiful for a movie theater - Price for the reclining/full service seats were about $20, which feels reasonable with how swanky the theater is, and is on par with how much we pay in Boston - Service was great, beginning with check-in through to our "ninja servers" What blew our minds: - COMPLIMENTARY blankets available in case you get chilly... yes, you read that right. - The food! We were skeptical of theater food, since it's usually nothing to write home about. But the large wood burning oven by the concession stand was so promising, that on our second visit we decided to have dinner with our movie. It was a *great* meal- at our seats we ordered truffle popcorn (really good), Caesar salad (what you expect), and tandoori chicken skewers (so delicious). This was really an experience in movie going and dining all in one. I remember the days when you looked in the paper for the movie times, and just went to a movie for $8.00, popcorn and a drink for $5.00 all in the same day. IPIc Theatres really changed all the rules. IPic is the ULTIMATE experience in movies, dining, comfort and service all in one. BUT,,, it comes with a much higher price. If you go on the IPic website or go to the front desk and sign up for the Saphire membership for $15.90 including tax, for 1 year, you can get early bookings on Monday night to get tickets to your favorite movie online and can pretty much be guaranteed a Premium or Premium Plus seat for any day in the upcoming week. The Premium seating has comfortable seating up front with the leather chairs and can bring in from Tanzy Express to your seat and eat comfortably for $14.00 a ticket. You have to walk out to Tanzy Express and actually carry it yourself to your seat. Man, what a hassle,,,LOL. I am writing this review, though, about the Premium Plus seating, which for an extra 10.00 you get the wide leather RECLINING chairs, blanket , pillow, eating table for two, and "in movie" service from the nicest servers who come to your chairs with menus to choose drinks and food from anytime before or during the movie. Make sure you get to your show about 15 minutes to a half hour early so your server comes by and introduces himself/herself to you, ask you for your drink order while going over the menu with you. By the time the previews start you can have your drinks and the server also brings you your FREE popcorn. If you want you can order your lunch/dinner or keep the menu and decide later. If you decide after the movie starts or need another drink, or need anything at all, just hit the service button located on the table between the chairs. The theatre is all part of Tanzy, upstairs, and accessible by escalators. The food is all from Tanzy but "theatre portions" and range from $12.00 to $20.00 per item. The drinks come from Tanzy's bar upstairs and you have a variety of drinks to choose from. I had a Prosecco which was perfect for an afternoon, lunchtime movie. After getting our free popcorn, we ordered the chicken skewers which were fantastic and the Theatre Size Turkey Burgers, much like the ones you receive at happy hour, as you get three small burgers which had cheese and were seasoned as good as I have ever had anywhere. Very delicious!!! The food is prepared upstairs next to the theatres at "Tanzy Express" so the servers do not have to go downstairs to Tanzy to serve them. The service is better than most of the dining establishments I have been to as the servers go out of their way to accommodate you, clear the table and bring the food when it is convenient for you. My reaction to this whole experience was mixed. I did not know if I should laugh at where our movie going experience is going, bordering on ridiculous, OR, pinch myself as to how comfortable, service oriented this whole afternoon was. I seriously cannot believe I have not come to the iPic sooner!!! I live 1 mile away!!! It's probably because I don't go to the movies in general a lot but that is all about to change! I recently went to see a movie and I signed up online to be an iPic member which is free but right now if you upgrade to a sapphire membership ($15) you get a free ticket to come back in the next 3-4 weeks. Plus my birthday is next month and I will get another free ticket so there is a lot of iPic in my future LOL!! There are 2 types of seating and you get to choose where you sit when you purchase the tickets. The regular lower level seats that don't recline or have servers and the upper premium seats that do recline and have servers. The seats also come with a pillow, blanket and popcorn at no extra charge in the premium seats. You are able to grab your own food and bring it to your seat in the lower section. I decided we had to do the premium seats and I booked them really early so I got perfect seats at the top right in the center of the screen. We saw a 7:45pm movie and decided to pre-party at Tanzy for happy hour since it's all in one place. I love Tanzy and they also provide the food in the theater. It was a great way to enjoy the night without breaking the bank. We had a few $5 drinks and some food before heading up to the movie. Luckily we went during the week because the only section full of people were the premium seats so it wasn't packed full of people. Our server Tiffany was really nice and got our food and drinks fast. She was very quiet during the movie and made sure we always had full drinks and popcorn. We only tried a few things off the menu. We had the Fried Chicken and French Toast which was delicious!! Basically, it's fried chicken tenders and French toast sticks with maple syrup to dip and the Tater Tots. The tots were perfect to eat during the movie too and they had bacon ketchup to dip!! OMG IT WAS SO GOOD! The iPic is definitely a movie experience and worth every penny. If you go on a weekday you can save a lot, especially on Tuesday they have food and drink price specials. Beyond a doubt, this is the BEST VIP movie experience that is available for the public. In fact, the only way to improve on this is to spend $250,000 and build a custom theater in your home and even then, you won't be able to watch first run movies. Everything in this theater is 5 Star and awesome, but it does come at a price, literally. I would estimate that a movie date will cost around $100 when you factor in the price of seats, drinks, appetizers, and tip. You bet it is worth it for special nights or when a awesome movie is playing, but might be hard to justify to visit for a B or C grade movie. The great thing about this place is the limited number of seats and that fact that they are catering to a higher end crowd as this will probably eliminate the young kids that are present at other venues, the teens that talk or text during movies, and the obnoxious dudes that munch popcorn and kick their feet up on the back of seats. Here are some tips: 1. Join their free membership club as you get discounts and they can be significant. 2. The parking garage is great and look for the shortcut entrance on the South side of the first level. They may have valet, but I did notice when I was there. 3. Consider having dinner and/or drinks in the outstanding restaurant on the first level and avoid eating in the dark inside the theater. Sure the food in the theater is very good, but it really is dark once the movie starts, that you lose the visual stimulation of the meal. 4. Reserve your tickets well in advance of the weekend if you want decent seats for Friday or Saturday nights. 5. Do NOT get the regular premium seats as the Premium Plus seating is FAR superior. read more

There is only one thing terribly wrong with iPic: the reclining seats are so comfortable that it is impossible not to fall asleep! And yes, I did curl up on the recliner and fall asleep for a little while during "Captain America". My 9 year old slept for most of it! Overall, this was a superb movie watching experience! Of course you have to do some advance planning and buy tickets, sometimes weeks in advance, for a hot movie. However, once bought, you walk right in (no lines) to a beautiful, luxurious theater and you get your reserved seats. Now those who have seen me know I am "vertically challenged". What people might not realize is that it can be super uncomfortable to sit for an entire movie when your feet do not touch the floor! Therefore, for me, the reclining seats are amazing! Also, the blanket was great to cover my chilled toes. For our 2:30 pm matinee, the price was $24. Free popcorn is served. There is also a menu with a variety of items including flatbreads, sliders, salads, & desserts. Most items are reasonable, between $9-13. When you think of the exorbitant prices for sodas, popcorn, & candy at your neighborhood theater, this really is not too bad for what you are getting. It was really nice to have a fresh brewed iced tea with lemon instead of soda at a movie. Husband and I shared a flat bread and the boys got meat ball sliders. Both were very tasty! My 10 year old also got a Brownie a la Mode which was excellent! The servers were very nice, attentive, and as unobtrusive as possible when serving or taking orders during the movie Since the boys were sitting in front of us they made sure to get the okay from us when they ordered something. The crown jewel of theaters, iPic is the cream of the crop if you will. A friend and I went during a weekday to see a film here, and we had a phenomenal experience. First off, you have to signup on the website for an account and purchase your tickets in advance to choose your seating. Signup is free. When you choose your seating, you get a selection of all the availabilities left in the theater and your choice between Premium seating and Premium Plus seating. The Premium seats are more towards the front of the theater and are still comfortable, but don't have all of the amenities that the Premium Plus seating has. We sat in the Premium Plus seating in the very back, where the chairs could recline all the way back and are extremely comfortable and relaxing. Premium Plus also included a pillow and blanket you could use during the film, as well as all the free popcorn you could eat. We did order a few drinks, but not the food while watching the film. It makes all the sense in the world to go with the Premium Plus seats, especially in today's world with the prices of a regular movie ticket, by the time you buy popcorn and a drink, you've already spent the same amount you would spend here. Two tickets in Premium Plus cost us around $36 on a weekday, not including the beverages we purchased. I know the prices vary, especially on the weekend. Service-wise, it was top notch. We had a waiter who constantly came over and brought us whatever we needed. He was extremely nice, and timely about everything. The only real con this place has, is that they bring you the check about 10 minutes before the end of the film, so A. it kinda puts a damper to the expense just before most likely the climax of the film, and B. it's really impossible to sign or even see, seeing as how it is pitch black in the theater so you can't sign the bill. The iPic theater atmosphere itself is very nice, as it is sort of a fusion between modern and more classic theaters. The place is extremely clean and very well maintained. Not to mention it is located in Mizner Park, so even if you don't want to eat in the theater, their are a multitude of options for you to eat elsewhere, before or after your film, which is what we did. iPic has made it so all other theater experiences pale in comparison to what it has to offer. Sure you're going to pay more money, but it is all about the experience of the film with the seating, food, and service. Bottom line, iPic is not a movie theater, it's an entire experience worthy of the cost. Any chance I get to come back here, I will jump at. read more

The crowds, the cramped seats next to the loud mouth, having to get a seat all the way at the front, the expensive shitty snacks. iPic resolved all these issues for me. You also get free popcorn which ultimately only makes the price difference between iPic and a regular theater for the 2 of us like $10-$15. The food and drinks were excellent but pricey of course you don't have to order food or drinks but it's very nice to have the option. Plus they come to you so no having to run out to the concession stand before the movie or while the movie is playing and miss out on some of it. I have been to iPic approximately 10 times in the last year and a half. The initial visits were so impressive, I mentally declared this would be the only way I would watch movies. The menu was fantastic, the experience was amazing, terrific customer service, and all in all, I felt like what I was paying for was worth it; and then some. My last 3 visits, however, have caused me to reevaluate my stance on this establishment. Gone is the specialty menu that allowed you to pick select items at a discounted price. Now the price was a nice selling point for those food items, but the quality of the flavors kept me coming back. Now before I continue, I have to say that I am a true foodie. I'm an excellent cook, and have delved into the realm of cheffng. The menu that remains is far from premium. I honestly feel like a box of mozzarella sticks with curly fries over at the Boynton Mall theater is more flavorful than most of the CURRENT iPic menu offerings. They disguise simple items with flowery, lexicographical language, and "exotic" flavors; but at the end of the day it just boils down to burgers, nachos, fries, sandwiches, and salads. Now the real kicker is that none of these items from my last 3 visits have been exceptional. I'm drawn in thinking, OK, this time will be different, then the food comes out and I continue to have the overwhelming feeling they need me in the kitchen. Fourteen dollars for 3 dry sliders that claim to have Angus beef and applewood bacon, while filling, came extremely short of my expectations. The truffle fries I had to tack on due to the lack of a "combo", as a better word escapes me, were OK. But when you pay $9 for fries, one would hope they would be good, if not exceptional. That was just my side of the seat. My wife's meal came out in the OK range as well. She wasn't impressed with her food either. A grilled cheese that was supposed to be gourmet was nothing more than filling. As I recently actually made specialty grilled cheeses, more mellifluous adjectives were expected once she finished, but she had the same feelings as myself. It was just alright. Further adding to the dining disappointment, before the trailers and movie began, the in-house advertisements showed both a pulled pork panini, and a bbq themed Margarita (seemingly claiming they'd be on the menu). Both looked breathtakingly delicious, but investigating further, it was only a teaser recipe to try at home. I will absolutely return to iPic for the atmosphere and the comfort, but dropping a decent amount of money for mediocre food can't happen again - especially when I know those Cinemark mozzarella sticks are a step ahead of those iPic angus sliders. Side note: our previous dining experience was so underwhelming, I spoke with management and they rectified the situation with complimentary tickets.
