I absolutely love iPic Theater. Was introduced to it on a date and have returned several times since then. Whenever I have family or friends visiting Houston, I give them the iPic Theater experience, because it is classy as all get out. However, it is a bit pricey, so I am thankful that I don't get too many visitors lol. Once seated, you are offered free popcorn during the previews and can order food and alcohol to enjoy during your movie (#winning). I have only ever ordered drinks here - skinny margaritas - and they've been tasty but weak but still does not keep me away. With an upscale, modern ambiance, and fabulous dining right outside the theater doors, iPic is great for treating yourself, or going on a date. read more

I didn't appreciate my service . I came in last night with 2 other people but I specifically told my server that my food would be separate and she said okay . she proceeded to charge everyone together on my card ! instead of explaining to me in detail since I was the one being charged she went to another person in my party and then asked them if it was okay if they could just send me the money since it takes so long to get a refund ( I only found out after I demanded an explanation ) which would've been okay if it was explained to me . Then when I asked about what was explained so I could know she said well she told them . I WAS THE ONE WHO WAS CHARGED INCORRECTLY! in the future I believe that all servers should verify no matter what before closing a tab that ofc has automatic gratuity on there who is being charged what . you should never make assumptions with other people money , now I have to wait however long for a refund which could've been tolerated if communication & an apologetic tone was expressed. read more

I've been to this theater a few times and it was always fun. However, on my last visit I ordered a drink and the waitress spilled it on my lap. That's fine, things like this happen sometimes. However, they still charged me for the drink! I was thinking they would comp my meal or something because they spilled it on me at the beginning of the movie so I had to watch the entire movie with soaking wet pants. But they charged me for everything, even the drink they spilled! All they did was send someone over with paper napkins who said "sorry about that". This seems very low class for such a nice place. Not giving them 1 star because I still like the theater, but that is a lame thing they did. read more

Highly recommend for a date night! I think I've been to 95%, if not all the dinner theaters in Houston and I love this one because of the pods. The pods offer a nice seclusion for 2 with a pillow and a blanket. I really appreciated the blanket because I always forget to bring a jacket/blanket when I go to the movies. The restrooms here are super clean and spa like. The hand washing area is co-ed and then breaks into W & M. It's good to get there early, because by the time the movie started, our orders(including dessert) were already placed and we weren't bothered any. Our waitress Mikayla was awesome & the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered: - river oaks classic margarita good tasting margarita, with the right amount of sweetness and alcohol -chef jimmy shaw's shrimp tacos SO GOOD! I think I've ever only had shrimp tacos once, but these were amazing. I'm sad it only came with two. -Chef Jet Tila's spicy tuna on crispy rice Yum! The waitress recommend this dish and said it was their take on sushi, includes wasabi and ginger on the side. Definitely has a sushi feel and the small little pieces was the perfect portion. -cheesecake brûlée AMAZING!! I've had brûlée, I've had cheesecake - but never together... SO good. 12/10 recommend. The brûlée gives a nice crunch at the top of the cheesecake. It was nice being able to go to the movies & not hear a baby crying or see kids running around! This theater is really amazing. My wife and I have been coming here for years just to get popcorn, as it is walking distance from our apartment. But we never actually saw a movie here until a few days ago. It seemed like it was too expensive for a movie. But in fact, we found that it was well worth the price. I've been to a few dine in theaters, and they've been nice. But this one is on another level. The seats are not only very comfortable, but also feel very private. Do to the pandemic and social distancing, there weren't a lot of other people there. But it seemed like even if there had been, it would have felt like we had the place to ourselves. The buttermilk chicken fingers were great, drinks were good. The screen and sound were fine. It seemed very clean. Staff was friendly and non-invasive. read more

How have I not been here before is the only question. This is a great way to enjoy a movie. The most comfortable movie going experience I have ever had. This was even better than the VIP theater I went to with Cousin Andrew. In my own little two person pod I have my own pillows and blanket and wooden table that swings out of the way. A small theater that is built roomy. You feel like you really can spread out enjoyably. No doubt pricey but cheap for the service and comfort. When you realize that premium seating includes unlimited popcorn as a member but IPIC club membership club is free it pays for itself. If you love movies, you'll love watching them here. read more

So my family and I purchased tickets online to go see ''IT''. My aunt is in a wheelchair, and from what we thought the tickets that we purchase were for handicap seating. We got to the theater, and our tickets were for the seats right in front of the theater, but there were 3 flights of stairs that you had to go down to get to the seats. We got there early enough so we were able to speak with the manager on duty to get the issue resolved. We were told by two managers Courtney and Jared that the handicap seating had already been purchased by non handicap customers. What!?? IPic was not able to accommodate us, so my cousins and I had to carry my aunt and her wheelchair down three flights of stairs so that we could watch the movie that we spent over $100 on. We also had to carry her and the chair back up. As there were no exits down the stairs. Courtney offered us free popcorn, and a free appetizer for my aunt. She asked if we could come back another day instead if we wanted to leave now, we declined because we don't get together often and didn't know when we could return. Courtney comes back and said she did a reimbursement because of the inconvience, but three weeks later no reimbursement. My aunt had to call repeatedly, she spoke with Jared, Courtney and some other managers, each time she called everyone acted like they didn't remember what she was speaking about. All in all iPic needs a better-trained staff, everyone on staff is so young that they don't know what it means to be accountable, and truly be compassionate to the public and the customers that they serve. When I asked Jared why he doesn't require handicap tickets to be purchased in person, he said he doesn't want the customer to feel embarrassed. Well the reality is that my aunt who struggled to get down those three flights of stairs and is truly handicapped was hella embarrassed as everyone at the theater watch her try to make her way down the stairs. That is messed up I iPic needs to rethink the handicapped seating and accommodate for the disabled customers. The kitchen was so smoky my eyes burned. There were dirty glasses piled up all over the bar. The staff walked around ignoring the customers. The menu was reduced to basically burgers and fries. This place used to be so very clean and immaculate. The last two times I've gone it's been very dirty. The service is great but the bathroom floor was so dirty that you could see a film across the entire women's bathroom stall. The blanket last time was so dirty it was crusty and hard in places, lord only knows what that was. Upon feeling it in the darkness I just hoped that it was spilled food and tossed it to the floor. No matter what it was $28 per ticket would lead one to believe that your movie space would be clean. I feel like every time I come back here, the experience just isn't the same anymore. It's very inconsistent, but lately it's been consistently mediocre. First of all, I used to love this place because although they sold food, it didn't smell bad, but now it smells like a studio movie grill, like dirty carpet and un-wiped seats. GREEN GODDESS TURKEY SLIDERS- avocado, smoked gouda, romaine, cucumber, green goddess aioli, and garlic toasted brioche buns These sliders were light, but flavorful. The turkey was moist and I liked the addition of the creamy avocado and cheese with the crunchy cucumber. The buns were not toasty, but it wasn't soggy either. I would order this again. TRUFFLE FRIES- parmesan, truffle oil, and parsley The fries were crispy and had a cheesy parmesan flavor, but was lacking that truffle oil. I wanted more truffle flavor and there was only a subtle hint of truffle. Overall, the experience is okay, but not worth the amount you're going to pay. I love this place. It's pricey, but it's the best place to watch a movie. I love the privacy of the booths. The leather reclining chairs are the best. Because of this virus thing, they're not handing out fleece blankets to use for free. But I think you can buy one to keep! The menu has a good selection of food and drinks. I usually end up getting a bottle of wine every time I go. Order all your food and drinks before the movie starts. If you can, also get the check before the movie starts. Otherwise, the server will bring your bill during the movie. The staff is attentive. And, of course, they're all wearing masks. Wear your mask! read more

We were hungry and wanted to catch the new IT 2 movie. New to the Galleria, we'd decided to check out iPic Galleria. The seating and maitre d' were all very nice but the food service is what I would consider "seriously deficient." We ordered popcorn, sodas, and lobster rolls which came with fries. Delivery time and quality - eeeeeeeeeek cure notice!! In the midst of the movie and starving, we reached out to staff inquiring about our order - crickets. We waited the better part of an hour before we decided we should search for the food. Starving, we retrieved our $22.00 menu item which consisted of water induced mayonnaise lobster chunks on soggy hot dog buns and fries clearly cooked with dirty grease. The popcorn was no better - we had to dig to the bottom to secure fresh kernels. The sodas were arguably the highlight of the meal. Turns out, the clerk forgot to give us a buzzer for the food. Needless to say, we left starving and wondering what we'd missed of the movie. Go here on a full stomach and you'll likely enjoy yourself - we wouldn't know ... didn't even get to see the whole movie. read more

The only complaint I have is with the food. Every time I order food while watching a movie, it's sub par in one way or another. it's either cold or just underwhelming and not flavorful. Last night even the popcorn was even cold and kind of old. I got shrimp tacos last night and there was no sauce or flavor, they were just not worth it. How can a movie establishment cite a premium experience when the movie screen itself renders a first run film into a sub720p quality viewing. The blotches on an actors face doesn't move when there is motion, the bright areas show the screen "pixels" reflecting at odd angles, the center of the screen at times reflect the light from the projector... Does this remind anyone of the pull down screens and celluloid projectors in the old high school days? The screen in question was in the #3 theater. Tickets can be purchased online and you get to choose your seats! Each seat reclines and are sectioned by twos. They also provide blankets and a pillow for more comfort for each seat. And they give out free popcorn! You can order a wide range of food that is prepared and cooked in their kitchen from flatbreads, to nachos, and even gourmet dishes! Their cocktail menu has a wide range to satiate anyone's thirst during the movie. It's so convenient with just a press of the button. They really have thought of everything. Ok this is a really nice theater since you get your own little cove (seats 2) with raised walls around you so it's private. Nice recliners, a shared table, and the best part?? They provide you with a blanket!! As someone who is forever cold- this was very appreciated! You definitely pay a premium from the tickets to the food, I would say about double what I normally spend. So if you're cool with that- it's great! My only gripe would be the service- the waiter that took our order was clearly miserable. He looked and acted incredibly peeved to take our order and was very short with us. That part was unfortunate. read more

The name of iPic's game is luxury comfort while out at the movies. We always joke that you're leaving the comfort of your home to pay a lot for the at-home movie experience. Question is, is it worth it? On occasion, yes. Been 3 times in the past 2 years and plan to go back. Went ahead and got a paid membership for $29. With the ability to get advanced tickets, a free ticket on your birthday (it says a premium seat, but they better mean premium plus!, more on that in a moment), free dessert and ability to earn points, hopefully it pays for itself. We will see.... I don't get the concept of the Premium seats.... it's basically just a normal theater experience where you have to sit way to close to the screen. Premium Plus is the only way to go. The pods have privacy, powered recliners, come with a free small popcorn and some comfy fleece blankets. For anyone familiar with all the Dine While You View theater chains, you probably enjoyed your first visit and it just tapered downhill from there. Studio Movie Grill comes to mind first. With office chairs for seats, and food and service that declined in quality every visit, SMG lost me as a customer. I sincerely hope iPic doesn't go the same way, considering the cost of just one full-experience visit. Last time we were there one of our cup holders wasn't just broken, it was missing entirely. I've read other reviews stating how fixtures in the bathrooms were broken across multiple visits. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay but they delivered red wine of the same Brand. Our server apologized and said it was his first day. Apology accepted, but don't tell people it's your first day, it made things feel awkward. Another server couldn't give us a wine recommendation because he was underage. Nothing against teens with jobs, we've all been there. Only reason why I mention it, it would have been nice for an expensive place selling wine, to have people who can tell you about the wines they carry. No biggie. On some visits we pre-gamed at Tuck Room where all the food is prepared in the same kitchen. The food and drinks are pretty good, no complaints, just pricey. The last time we went, we had dinner elsewhere and only had popcorn and wine in the theater. Parking isn't bad either with the big garage adjacent to iPic. Overall 3 good experiences with a few caveats. I just hope the owners and managers keep this place up to par. 4 Stars. read more

I am celiac and aware that not all places are the best to eat. I arrived and asked the hostess for the allergen menu for the food, she gave me a regular menu and told me that was all they had. She said they could modify things if I asked my server. We had a discussion with the server before the movie and he said everything I ordered was gluten free or could be made gluten free. As a celiac I'm very aware which fries are not gluten free. They dip the fries in flour before they fry them to make them crispier. This makes the fries damn good don't get me wrong but not gluten free. I 100% get sick and have been diagnosed medically as celiac. I'm fine if you tell me things cant be gluten free, I'll eat before coming and do my own thing. But several items we were served were not gluten free and told were, including the fries. I didn't make a big deal of it and I should have because I didn't feel well after the fact. IPic is a major establishment- get an allergen menu and educate your staff. You could have someone who has a more serious reaction than me cause a lot of issues for your establishment because things are done poorly and if effects someones health. Overall the theater is nice and obviously more comfortable than your average movie theatre. With the price per ticket and advertising as a restaurant especially for night movies they have a lot of work to do. read more

They heard me out on what issues came about due to the timing of the order and the poor first impression. The reason why I changed my rating was that they were interested in fixing the problem. Comfort = 5 STARS The seats are awesome! Leather recliners in a pod for 2 people with a table in the center. Love the seating, feels kinda like flying in business class. Have privacy and get served with China and silver ware. Now as far as the food... Food = 3 STARS I have not been impressed at all with the food these last several visits and next time it will be drinks and feee popcorn because I don't think any of the food is that great. Pizza was just ok, wasn't bad but wasn't great. The chicken skewers were ok, juicy but just not much flavor. The pretzel sticks were ok, again, nothing special. Maybe we are ordering the wrong items but most likely will go after eating dinner somewhere else. Can't be the movie watching experience and they serve wine and the margaritas were great! While the seating and comforts are great, service can be terrible. If you don't expect your order to arrive quickly (we had to ask after an hour since the person that stepped in for our server forgot to put our order in) you might not mind the service. But when they deliver a pizza without leaving anything to wipe our hands with, they just lost their tip. A plate and utensils might have been nice too. And, a theater that didn't have popcorn, a first! Very poor planning. Seems they are not happy until you're unhappy. This place is way too expensive for the experience we had. read more
