Oh what fun! I didn't know what to expect going into this, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun we were all having. The case itself was interesting and fun to solve, but it was the actors that made it an absolute blast. Truly talented, kind and hilarious people were a part of our show. I found myself laughing more than I have in a while, which is always wonderful! I am taking a star away for food because it was a bit mediocre honestly. I found chicken to be a bit over cooked and chewy. But I am glad the appetizers were tasty. Of course, this experience is more about the show/experience than the food. So if you're considering going, just do it!

    Are there age restrictions?

Yes. all of our events have an Age Requirement of 15 and older.

Weird question but - is this a good way to introduce future in-laws to each other for the first time?? We are wondering if we'll have the opportunity to talk, hear each other, etc. throughout the entertainment, or if it will require constant focus.

Actually, this really could be the perfect thing to do! There are multiple breaks throughout the show, leaving ample opportunities to chat and get to know each other. But at the same time, it is the perfect ice breaker as the show is very much a…

Felt like a VIP movie night (with one tiny wrap flaw!)…read more Let me start with a quick parking tip because it's definitely in the fine print: there's "One Garage" literally right next door that offers complimentary 3-hour parking once you get validation from iPic, the only garage to get validated! Sounds amazing... until you show up and it's already full... which was what happened. Our movie started at 6:00 PM, we arrived around 5:20 PM, and the garage was completely closed off -- they weren't letting anyone else in. Luckily, we found parking about 3 minutes away and paid around $5, which honestly wasn't too bad. We came here for the second part of our Valentine's date night and watched Wuthering Heights because hello... Margot Robbie is my favorite girl. I haven't been here in over 15 years and WOW -- I forgot how absolutely beautiful this theater is inside. The lobby is spacious, classy, and honestly feels kind of luxurious. There are pool tables, a full bar area downstairs, and spaces where you can hang out with drinks and good company before your movie. We headed straight into our theater and ordered food from our seats (also... water is complimentary, love that). We were seated in our own little pod -- super intimate with two seats, cozy setup, and yes... a blanket. It truly felt like rich people movie night. Shoutout to our server Jake, who was outstanding from start to finish. Great service, super attentive, and made the experience even better. Food-wise: The Boss Burger ($20.5) was a solid 8.5/10 -- hubby really enjoyed it. Although, there were no pickles or tomatoes in there even though it was in their menu. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap ($17), and I'll be honest... it was the only downside of the night. It was a bit cold and tough, and the tortilla-to-filling ratio was a little off for me. I'd give it a 6/10. If the tortilla was a bit warmer I'd think it'll be able to hold onto the filling a bit better, but that was meh, for me. BUT the fries? Piping hot, crispy, and delicious. And Jake even brought us ranch, BBQ sauce, and extra ketchup without us having to ask twice. Overall, this was my husband's first time here, and it definitely won't be our last. We had such a great experience -- the ambience, service, and overall vibe were top-tier. Can't wait for our next cozy movie night here!

The seats were way too close together, and the person next to us had belongings spread into the shared space, making it very difficult to get in and out of our seats comfortably. Because of how uncomfortable the situation was, we decided to leave during the previews before the movie even started. We politely explained the issue to the manager and asked if we could either move to different seats -- even less expensive ones -- or receive some type of accommodation such as passes for another movie. Unfortunately, the manager refused to help in any way and would not issue a refund, exchange, or even offer courtesy tickets. For a theater that markets itself as a luxury experience and charges premium prices, I expected much better customer service. Other theaters like AMC are usually much more understanding and willing to work with customers when issues arise. Instead, we left feeling frustrated after paying for a movie we never got to watch. Sadly, this experience completely turned us off from coming back.

The staff are all polite, patient, and understanding which is a huge mark going into your overall experience. When you enter the castle, you will receive a brochure with all the performers and performance times on it so you can select which experience you want. The dining is fine dining, so prepare to pay about $70 per person minimum for any entrée. I ordered the wagyu flatiron and boy was it yummy. It was tender, juicy, and the flavor was amazing. I also tried the garlic bread and burrata cheese. The burrata was good (just as any other barrata), and the garlic bread was cheese heavy. I wish the garlic bread packed more of a garlic punch, but it was still good. For desert, I will say the Banana Cream Pie stole the show. If there's anything I would long for on this menu it would be the pie. The crust was crunchy made from Nutter Butter, and the banana flavor was natural and creamy. The shows themselves were outstanding. I loved how you get both up close and far away magic experiences. The magicians are also very interactive with guests, creating a real sense of awe! The only downside I would say is the organization of lines. The castle, when packed on a weekend, can feel small and tight with plenty of people waiting in queued non-ticketed lines. With lines not opening until at least 25 minutes prior to a show, and no line attendants or signs prior to that, the lines can get crazy and you can get stuck in a line without being guaranteed a spot in the show - so try to get in lines a bit early. Outside of that, a great experience and would love to come back!

The historic setting and exclusive feel made the evening seem truly special, and it was the perfect place to celebrate such an important occasion together. The magic shows were absolutely incredible. Every magician amazed us with their talent, whether it was intimate close-up performances or larger stage acts. It was one surprise after another, and we found ourselves laughing, applauding, and wondering how they pulled off so many unbelievable illusions. The entire evening was filled with entertainment and a sense of wonder. The food, service, and hospitality were outstanding as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helped make the birthday celebration feel even more memorable. Spending the evening exploring the castle, enjoying world-class magic, and celebrating together made for a perfect birthday. It was an experience we'll always remember, and I highly recommend the Magic Castle to anyone looking for a truly magical night out in Hollywood.

I totally didn't realize this was something that wasn't for kids when I heard about it, but it was actually very entertaining and I did not regret the experience!! The plot was cheesy but well executed, and the horses were so cool?? I've never really seen live dressage before and I think this is one of the only places that you can regularly watch it. Pros: - Very easy to get to, especially if you do an uber drop-off to avoid the parking drama - HUGE portions of food- we were served garlic bed, tomato soup, half a chicken, and a pastry for dessert. It's "full-on medieval experience" so you eat with your hands, no utensils. The tomato soup and garlic bread were actually so delicious. Meal also comes with your own choice of soft drink (think lemonade, etc). - There are drinks to purchase, menu is on the QR code at your seat. It was pretty tasty - you get to scream A TON - and it's actually encouraged!! I like spaces like these where you're allowed to be as obnoxious, talk as much trash as loud as you want, against knights that are not the one your section is rooting for. The red knight - staff were welcoming and professional and super helpful - the knights and performers are all super talented! Even though you know the fight scenes are staged, the competition is real and the knights are actually trying to win for real (per our friend who is a knight there lol - it's a real job and they have real martial arts training) - People get super into it, and dress up and groups have so much fun! - They do give you hand wipes, but sometimes it is helpful to bring your own extra Cons: - the drinks are super overpriced because they come with a souvenir cup (which I didn't see explicitly written anywhere when we bought them) that looks kinda tacky lol - the chicken breast and potato was pretty dry, so I would say the food here is very mid and that's not what you should come for - I would wear clothes you're okay getting a little dirty, since it's pretty dark, you can't really see when food splashes onto you - The dessert pastry was also very dry Overall, a super immersive and engaging show with great performers. I felt like the $70 without the extra cake was worth the money.

We did not expect long lines where you check in to receive your seat assignment, which determines your section/knight you cheer on. I think we were seated higher up because we came 15mins before the show started, so if you want front row seats, definitely come early (at least an hour early). People in line were very enthusiastic, and there were people dressed up too! They have a bar where you can get drinks inside cool souvenir cups, and there is a really neat gift shop outside the arena, too! If you come early enough, you can even see the horses in their stables. The show and the horses was spectacular! They do amazing tricks leading up to the jostling and there was a falconer act, too! The crowd work was great and contributed to an amazing energy. TLDR: Come for a memorable and entertaining evening. In Shakespeare's time, the Globe Theatre had only male actors so Drag was de rigueur as well as the ancient Japanese Kabuki Theatre which is still all male to this day.  Host Tommi Rose, 47 year Drag veteran originally from the La Cage aux Folles Night Club in the 1980's as well as at famous Finocchio's in San Francisco during the 1970's, does a flurry of 13 costume changes ending with a silver beaded dress weighing 28 lbs.  A Marilyn Monroe, who is a dead ringer to the original, performs flawlessly channeling her inner Monroe. Lady Gaga makes an appearance lip synching to songs when she sang with Tony Bennett. The in between acts had a "Cabaret" Berlinesque feel that Liza Minelli would have been pleased.  The Torch Song finale was a rousing, feel good rendition of "I Am What I Am" from the song originally introduced in the Broadway musical La Cage aux Folles.  It was a poignant song that makes no apology nor excuse for who we are. And that is the way it should be.  Enjoy the Drag!!!  PS Get rid of the annoying two pillars blocking the view of the stage.

They did a spectacular job of leading us through exercises that had a profound impact on how we viewed ourselves as women--my friends are still talking about this experience to this day! They also taught us routines and moves that helped us find our "Inner Betties". Finally, they had a few tricks up their sleeves to make sure we would never forget this day, and that the lessons we learned would help make us better women to ourselves. At the end, I felt that the entire experience was entertaining and personally valuable...reflecting lessons and experiences I wanted to share with my friends...I didn't have to do any of the heavy lifting for my party, and was able to truly enjoy it as a guest! I recommend the BYOB experience for a special birthday, ladies night, bachelorette party, or whatever you have in mind. Gather your friends, then call Brown Betties...these women have it covered!!!

Great entertainers! The New Year's Eve appearance at Cafe La Boheme in West Hollywood was…read moretop-notch and the 20th Anniversary performance was excellent! I also had the pleasure of seeing their full show, Harlem's Night and would recommend it to all my friends (adults only ;-)). I'd definitely book them for special events and parties as well!
