Delicious vegan food!!! This place is a gem, slightly hidden near the secondary entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge, on Sands Street - but absolutely worth the visit. Everything we had was delicious and tasty: We started with the Super Mario Bros roll, then moved into the Vrooklyn Gyoza (I dove straight into them, so enticing they were, and forgot the photo!) Both were outstanding. A good sign for the forthcoming ramen... And the ramen was really good!!! I had the Plat-Ton which is their signature Tonkotsu. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the toppings of tofu, carrots, fried mushrooms and more were fresh, tasty and vibrant. My husband had the Dragon Tan-Tan, extra spicy and really loved his as well. We had drinks, the Yuzu Fizz for me, which is a refreshing non-alcoholic drink. Husband had the Toyko M75 and a beer. Overall, we very much enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend it, to vegans and omnivores alike. Service was excellent and the space itself is beautiful, light and airy. I am looking forward to returning again, also when it is warmer out and they have the bay doors open. I'm sure that it is quite lovely. Go check this place out!

Had no desserts available on my birthday and also somehow ran out of spices to add to the ramen?

Me and my partner came here when we were starving so honestly, everything tasted really good. I really enjoyed the ambience and our waitress was so sweet! I love that they put out three different homemade sauces for you and it really does pack a flavor punch, especially when you have the freedom to mix them as you please. The best menu item hands-down is probably their maitake tempura. My partner who doesn't like mushrooms says that it was his favorite dish as well. Just so crispy and the mushrooms are so juicy and meaty. And paired with that curry dipping sauce? It was to die for. I also really enjoyed the tonkotsu ramen. I will admit that I was a little bit disappointed with the proteins in the Ramen because as someone who loves tofu, I found the tofu to be really bland. The marinated carrots also felt a little bit out of place and overpowering, but that broth was so incredible. I'm so impressed that it's vegan and they were still able to capture so much depth and flavor. I genuinely wanted to ask if they sell the broth to go lol. Everything else was good, but not extraordinary. The dragon tantan was a little bit too salty for my taste and it's also spicy. I wish they had more dessert options but I will definitely be back!

I am in love with the new fully vegan restaurant @ippudov that is by the @ippudo group here in Brooklyn! I've already visited twice this month and still want to go back to try more. The drinks and desserts were fair, but the ramen were heavenly! Absolutely loved all of them and I highly recommend to try it out even if you're not vegan!

The broth at Ippudo V was incredible. I'm shocked at how they can have such a huge place in dumbo, but the restaurant is cavernous and so aesthetically pleasing. I sat at the bar alone and service was good even at the off-peak 3pm time I went. I'd come back often and try more of the menu!

Modern creative and artistic vegan restaurant you should definitely try!! The restaurant has been opened since last year :) we are not vegans.. but when I hear about it is by Ippudo? I was highly expected and it was a jackpot!! The waiters are so nice and telling us what's good :)! Friendly! Super neat inside and open windows brings stylish environments. We got 3 kinds of different ramen bowls and it was mind blowing! Full of umami, couldn't believe it's vegan meals. And they looked so beautiful!! My personal order Toma tan men (shio) was excellent. The noodles are all fresh!! We are all happy with the experience! Thank you for the great service x

If you're interested in playful eats, then definitely check this place out! Very unexpectedly delightful experience! Glad our server convinced us to be stay and try vegan ramen because we didn't realize it was vegan at first LOL As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted with a spacious and beautiful open kitchen with lots of seating options. We started off with the seasoned seaweed French fries & pan fried edamame. Wish we got some sauce for the fries but they were perfectly crispy! The seasoning for the pan fried edamame was addicting, and we went through all of it within minutes! Then we got the Platon Tonkotsu ramen and the Shojin Shoyu ramen. The broth for both of them was flavorful, light, and delicious! The fried enoki mushrooms in the tonkotsu ramen was my favorite, crispy & addicting! Very creamy broth as well even though it's not meat-based which I loved! Our server was super friendly & funny too! Shout out to him with the amazing playlist too! Great spot for my vegans out there and for people who are open to trying different flavors!

I saw the sign for ippudo V around the corner from my gym so I decided to go check it out after my workout. The corner location is sunny and warm, and I loved the garage style windows that rolled up and let the fresh air in. There isn't a ton of foot traffic by that area in Dumbo but the space is simply gorgeous and the menu is quite creative and worthy of a visit. This fifth location frmo Ippudo serves exclusively plant-based versions of their ramen and bao buns. They also have plant-based sushi as well, but I just finished a workout so I decided on a Mango Manifesto ($13) smoothie instead. I loved the housemade vegan whipped cream piped around the sides of the cup and the smoothie was very mango-forward. I didn't taste much of the plant-based protein collagen so if you are sensitive to powders, you will not be put off by their smoothies.

We stumbled into this new restaurant walking around the area. We came in for the sandos but they only serve during the day time. This place is pretty spacious and it was set up like cafe/restaurant style. We got the gyoza, sushi roll and dessert. The gyoza was pretty good and really enjoyed the 3 unique dipping sauces. The sushi roll was vegan and thought it was alright. The imitation eel did taste pretty similar to real eel. We also got drinks hojicha latte and sencha. Both were pretty standard drinks and I believe they source from Kettle. The chocolate mousse cake was really good. It's made out of tofu and has a good texture to it. Overall, pretty solid new restaurant for vegan Japanese food. It's a bit pricy for some of the dishes tho.

My husband, a dedicated meat eater, declared it some of the best ramen he's ever had--and my jaw was on the floor when he said that! The food was absolutely incredible. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly balanced, with nothing overdone or overly processed. The homemade noodles were exceptional, but the sauces truly stole the show. 10/10

I feel very mixed giving 4 stars for $30 ramen, but I think the fact that it's vegan but doesn't taste vegan combined with the gorgeous interior of the space may help to justify it?? Everything on the menu is plant based, and while I'm a meat lover through and through, I was very intrigued. Once I got past the sticker shock (typical Ippudo ramen are in the high teens to lower $20's), I decided I needed to try the "tonkotsu" and see for myself how rich they could make a plant based broth that is traditionally pork based. OH MY. they did it. They really did it. How did they get the broth to be so creamy?? So rich?? Answer: mushroom and soy milk? No matter, I was so impressed! The grilled eggplant slice in the tonkotsu was soooo melt in your mouth and the pickled carrots added a nice refreshing zing, while the fried enoki provided a tasty crunch. The husband was less impressed with his shoyu ramen, which is generally lighter than the tonkotsu to begin with, but I still thought they did a great job with the broth. All in all, I don't know the variety of options out there for vegans, but ippudo V did a banging job of delivering on the umami. If I didn't have a side by side comparison I'm not sure that I'd be able to recognize that this broth is plant based! The price is not my cup of tea, but hey, I'll stick with my meat-based $20 ramen!

This was some of the best Japanese food I've ever had, including in Japan! There were many Japanese people eating there when we were there. (Telling). Superior to anything vegan at industry city. We will def be back. Also super comfortable, great service, great selection.

It's quite busy but the turnover rate is quick. The restaurant is small but has a good amount of tables and counter seating. But I've got to say I am disappointed by my overall experience based on how popular this spot is. You order from a menu you can write on, which allows you to customize your ramen selections (noodle thickness, broth, add-ons, etc). I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with spicy added. While the broth is pretty good, I think the overall ramen is a bit lacking compared to other ramen spots. I did not realize the ramen did not come with any ingredients besides the chashu meat and some scallions sprinkled on top. So this spot really requires you to customize and add on toppings. Usually other ramen spots already have selection of toppings in each type of bowl. So overall, my ramen was pretty standard and nothing outstanding. I do appreciate that you can add half or full serving of extra noodles for $1-2 if you want more. Also, like others mentioned, Ramen Danbo received a C health code rating. I didn't see this until halfway through my meal, but I probably would not have ate here if I saw it beforehand. Quite appalling for a restaurant that doesn't even have an extensive menu. Overall, the service is okay... I can't say I had any particular issues BUT I just felt like all the servers gave off the vibe that they just hated their jobs or something. It was just the vibe I got but it could just be me.

First: got combo B which was the perfect amount for 2 people since it included an appetizer, 2 ramens, 2 desserts and 2 drinks. Left very filled and happy. Would highly recommend their lemonade and Thai tea! The popcorn chicken is more batter than chicken, so it's good if you like more of a crunch. The tonkotsu and miso ramens were good, but not particularly notable. Kyuramen is a chain after all, so the food quality gives that same vibe as comforting when you're just craving some. Second: Got the yakitori platter, beef ramen (seasonal) and curry ramen and I'd personally pass on all of them. Their meats are over cooked which makes them tough. Both times the service was fine, I appreciate the call button so both don't have to wait for awkward timing issues. I do like the aesthetic of the place, especially with the privacy of the room shades/dividers. p.s. don't forget their slurp and win program! When you drink all the broth, there's a word on the bottom (or not) where you can get a free popcorn chicken/drink/etc for your next visit. I thought the chances would be pretty slim, but I got a drink voucher my second time!

Overall, there wasn't anything special about the steamed dumplings. Iron Men (3/5): I was disappointed since reviewers said that the broth would be very rich but it did not have much flavor to me even after using their house chili sauce (+$2). I definitely tasted the Iberian pork undertones but overall, I thought it was watery and didn't have much flavor without the chili. The poached egg was perfect. The rosemary oil was very subtle (cool presentation as it was provided in a dropper!) The noodles were perfect--chewy and bouncy. I thought the 2 slices of pork were thin but tender, also more lean and not fatty (not as ideal so did not melt in your mouth). Expensive for a bowl with little meat ($23). I did not use the miso paste as I did not love the aftertaste, which admittedly could be why the broth lacked flavor to me! Nagoya Miso Katsu-Don (N/A): I tried a little of the dish. I thought the pork was very crunchy and had a great taste. Boyfriend said the dish was nothing special.
