    Thai peanut dumplings
    Jessica B.

I was in the area and looking for a place to eat for lunch and Lucky Rabbit Noodles was suggested. I decided to give it a try--I got the house dumplings and the Thai peanut dumplings. The server (maybe owner) suggested the Thai peanut dumplings. He was very friendly without being off putting. He asked if I was going to dine in but I got my order to go. Both dumpling types were delicious but I really liked the Thai peanut. They even added crispy garlic. They have other varieties that I'm interested in trying. The restaurant definitely has a quirky dive vibe. The restaurant has a few tables and some barstools if you want to dine in. There's an open kitchen as well. All in all, Lucky Rabbit Noodles is a good option.

Great little spot, packed inside, service good, hardy portions. The food is really good. You can share the noodle dishes, as they are large. We ordered send noodle with chicken, chicken roti canai, and dumplings. We were able to find seating inside, really packed, but nice and quaint. I would go back and try others dishes as well.

Very lively spot; limited seating but we were able to snag some tables. I got the Send Noods which was a Thai peanut sauce based noodle dish. It was creamy and savory but the flavor wasn't very complex; kinda just tasted like peanut butter. They also were very heavy on the ginger. Not sure if I'd come back again. Service was pretty good and they have a lot of sauces on the side you can add to spice it up if needed.

    A NICE LITTLE STIR FRY
    Kaitlyn N.

My friends were showing me around town said Lucky Rabbit was pretty good, so we stopped by for lunch. FLAVOR (3.2/5): 1. A NICE LITTLE STIR FRY: The portions here are very large, so you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck. The stir fry was good, but after a few bites it started to feel really heavy and I got tired of the flavor. The flavor profile of this and the braised beef & noodles felt pretty similar, although maybe some of this could be attributed to the fact that they share noodle and soup texture. 2. BRAISED BEEF & NOODLES: This was okay, I think I liked it a little better than the stir fry. The soup texture is similar to the vietnamese dish banh canh, which is slightly thick. 3. GINGER-SCALLION CHICKEN: The chicken was probably my favorite of what we ordered. It's a simple homey dish that you can't really go wrong with, but as far as ginger chicken goes, there are definitely better places for it. 4. EASTERN CUKES: This was a nice, refreshing appetizer that helped balance out the meal, although the cucumbers were a little on the sour/salty side and could be overwhelming at times. AMBIENCE (-/5): Good for a casual hangout with friends. TAKEAWAYS: I didn't really care for Lucky Rabbit, but I do think that it's worth a try. My opinion seems to be the outlier amongst my friends, so you might like it!

Thai Peanut Dumplings $6 & House Dumplings $6 & Passion Fruit Green Tea $6

Solid but gourmet street noodles and dumplings with dive bar aesthetic. More than basic flavors, extra fresh or crunchy toppings, and very flavorful broths. It's all about the fresh food and fresh drinks here and it's just a bonus that there are actually places to sit and bring a friend. The staff member ringing in guests on my visit felt genuinely caring and welcoming to make the experience feel more inviting than just a drop in. Love how many options there are for vegans too! For about $24 including tax and tip, I got the House Dumplings $6 (less spicy than anticipated), Thai Peanut Dumplings (more spicy than anticipated) $6, and Passion Fruit Green Tea $6. I liked them all for different reasons and would keep trying more options because the quality is excellent on everything!

Came here because of the Matzo Ball Soup Dumpling, so rare to see that! It took a while, not really the expected soup dumpling with matzo ball soup flavor but it's more like a wonton soup in a cup. Flavor was a bit mild but interesting to try.

So my wife found this place and the name alone was intriguing me so we went to try it out, when you walk in you will notice it is a small little place and the menu is on the wall and it is small HOWEVER this was by far the best Ramen bowl I have ever had & the portions were HUGE!!! I had the Miso Soup and Chili Garlic Noodles. I ordered a small Miso Soup and the damn thing was HUGE, it was so delicious and it felt so warming to have something this good. Now let's talk about these noodles, they were very creamy, tasted authentic, all the little onions, the sauce and the noodles themselves just was a great meal and the staff was really great, they made us feel good about being here. this is a great place to have some Ramen.

    Massaman Chicken Dumpling

Lucky Rabbit is one of the few restaurants in DUMBO that deserves to be charging DUMBO-level prices. Walking in, you won't be impressed with the tiny, cramped, poorly ventilated space. But after you order and your food comes out, you'll be thrilled you came to this closet of culinary greatness. I had the house dumplings to start, and my friend tried the massaman curry dumplings. Both were good, and the massaman curry was really delicious. Very filling starters for sure. But the noodle dishes are the real star of the show here. The garlic noodles were incredible. The noodles themselves were the absolute perfect texture, with just the right amount of chew. So delicious on their own, and then the rest of the dish was a pleasant afterthought. They use dark meat for the chicken, but honestly I would consider getting the dish without any additions next time, because the noodles were just THAT good. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, one of the better meals I've had in DUMBO for sure.

Really cool place me and my friends stopped by for lunch and it wasn't super busy. Got a recommendation from the staff that was pretty good! Noodles were thick and filling and I like how you can pay at the counter so you can leave whenever you're ready. It is a little pricey though but overall a great small business

Lucky Rabbit Noodles is the definition of a hidden gem--quite literally a hole-in-the-wall, tucked away but worth every step to find. The space is tiny, almost underground in feel, but the service is so warm and welcoming it balances everything out. Their outdoor seating is a thoughtful touch, especially when the inside gets crowded. Now, the garlic noodles. Thick, chewy strands with a buttery softness that makes every bite feel indulgent. The garlic isn't shy here--it's bold, fragrant, and deeply infused into the sauce. Speaking of the sauce, it clings to the noodles in the best way, rich and flavorful enough to keep me salivating just thinking about it. It's a simple dish, yet executed with such confidence and depth that it makes this spot unforgettable. A small place with big flavor--exactly the kind of spot you want to claim as your own.

We found this spot on some fad list and it did not disappoint. Theres about 6 seats, so go on an off hour or order to go. They have an efficient menu, kitchen and staff and a tiny bathroom too. You can enjoy tasty noodles and dumplings just like us! Great little stop off the beaten path under the bridge! Be wary it is also loud being under the bridge.

What a great little (and I mean little) place! When we arrived it was during the noon rush on a Saturday. We lucked up as two spots at the bar and a table for two had just opened up. We were seated in about 2 mins. Food took about 10 mins to arrive at the table and everything was delicious! Portions were very generous, fresh, hot and of great quality. I'm glad we came by this little gem of a spot. Reccommend highly.

As with a lot of shops in NYC, expect a line and expect a small seating arrangement when you're seated indoors. The restaurant is a stone's throw away from the heartbeat of DUMBO, stowed away in an alley-like spot. It's grungy and it's got character, so it adds to the charm as a hole-in-the-wall. In our lineup we had the Matzo Ball Soup Dumpling, Yu Choy, House Dumplings, Send Noods, and Chili-Garlic Noodles. Overall, I didn't mind the flavors, but let me warn you that the chili-garlic noodles are extra spicy. I can tolerate spicy food, but this was not enjoyable. It was all capsaicin. Staff are nice and it was easy going to order. It was a chaotic at times when the DoorDashers, patrons paying the check, and patrons ordering all converged at the cash register.

But don't let the basement level dissuade you; they really turn their location into a strength. There's a covered "outdoor" section with lots of natural light, and the inside is spacious and modern, with a semi-open kitchen that makes it feel like you're in a place twice its size. The tapas we tried were great. Patatas bravas were crispy on the outside, with a fluffy inside, and maybe a touch too much salt. The hamachi crudo was excellent, with a unique coconut and mango sauce that gave it a touch of sweet to go with the zest. And the pulpo was great, the octopus was well prepared and the sauce was hearty without dominating the taste. The half chicken was the most memorable dish; our server recommended it, and it's clear why. It was unbelievably juicy and tender, with plenty of lemon flavor in every bite. Lots of meat, don't expect a small plate like the other menu items! All in all a good experience in a nice atmosphere, definitely staying on the list for tapas in the future.

To find Debajo you have to find the staircase leading down as this is below ground level - hence the name. MUST GET the patatas bravas - just enough to share between three people but might want to get two orders if your party is more than three. DO NOT GET the queso - it's literally a couple thin slices of cheese, a tiny bowl of almonds, and some tomato mixture. You can add bread for like $7 on top of the original $16 price - actually ridiculous for what you get. The roasted duck breast was flavorful and tender, and the bavette steak was even better. Really great to share as well since they're cut up already. Good vibes in Debajo - would definitely come back again. It was clean and very chic.

As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the owner, Lorena. She was very cordial, attentive, gave magnificent recommendations, and added to the enjoyment of the meal. I ordered two tapas: Croquetas de Jamon Serrano (Ham Croquettes) and the Albondigas (Meatballs). The croquettes were nicely presented, I enjoyed the sauces that adorned each croquette, they had a slightly crunchy outer layer, and the serving was four. The meatballs were amazing. Each ball was flavorful, the serving was EIGHT!, and the accompanying sauce was succulent and was enough to fill every piece of bread. For dessert, I had the EZ Flan. This Flan was LARGE enough to share, thick, and the sweet syrup at the bottom of the plate was delicious. The final item was a Cafe con Leche (Coffee with milk). EZ Paella skyrocketed to my #1 choice for tapas and cannot wait to return with friends, so they can echo my adoration of this eatery.
